Valsartan, can you stop without withdrawal

Can you stop this med right away if there's too many side effects? I was on metoprolol, that stuff is terrible. Tapering off it now as it kept causing high blood pressure spikes. ## Hello, Ralph! Lisinopril Cough

I have been taking lisinopril for about a year with an annoying cough the whole time. Then suddenly last week developed a cough from hell, all day, and all night, no sleep, etc. Went to the doctor and they said it was the lisinopril and changed the perscription. When I was in line to pick it up the man in front of me was there for the same reason. Is there a bad batch running around? ## I doubt it is due to a bad batch, it is actually a very common side effect of this medication. For some people it is very mild and wears off after a few weeks, but for others, it continues or worsens and they have to switch medications. Long term use of medicines with Titanium dioxide is very bad for health. Why haven't pharmaceuticals companies developed Titanium dioxide free formulations yet ? It's been banned in food since 2022 in Europe. Negative long term effects are : Nanoparticle Accumulation: Titanium dioxide nanoparticles can accumulate in the body over time, which may lead to adverse health effects. Immune System Toxicity: Prolonged exposure may also negatively impact the immune system, leading to increased vulnerability to infections and diseases. Irbesartan, safe to halve tablet?

Can 300mg irbesartan tablet be cut in half (abisart brand)? ## Hello, Bell! How are you? As long as it isn't time released, then yes, you can cut it, as long as your doctor approves. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Metoprolol losing effectiveness over time?

Can Metoprolol become less effective at reducing heart rate over time? I've been taking it for about 2 years now. About 6 months ago my heart rate returned to its prior levels (high 50s for resting and low 60's for walking, etc). Nothing bad, but it was a curious step function in the charts. When the drug was working, it had reduced those levels by about 10 beats/minute. My cardiologist doesn't know of any reason why this should happen, so I'm checking to see if others have seen this.. Clonidine withdrawal & Tolerance

I am taking Clonidine for an off label use to treat Bruxism(teeth clenching at night). Currently 0.2mg just at night ,but considering trying 0.3mg. My questions are 1) I've heard some people develop a tolerance to Clonidine after taking it for a longtime(so it becomes ineffective and the dose must be increased or treatment stopped). How long can I take before I should take a break ,so I don;t develop this tolerance? 2) If I take 0.3mg and then want to stop taking it , if i reduce my dose by 0.05(half a tablet) every 3-4 days should that avoid rebound hypertension ? What is the comparable mg of 10 Lisinopril to Losartan?

I was taking 10MG of Lisinopril one time per day. I ended up with a cough. My doctor changed it to 25 MG of Losartan and now my blood pressure has gone back up. Are my new dozes equal to or less than my previous dosage. I do not understand the conversion of MG from drug to drug. ## Hello, Mike! How are you? How long ago did you make the switch?
