My wife started taking this drug 4 months ago and has been gaing weight-we think it is from the drug? ## My wife started taking METOCARBAMOL 750 MG 4 months or so ago for muscle spasms AND HAS BEEN GAINING WEIGHT SINCE->She has made no other changes! i have chronic back pain however try not to take medication unless i have to. i have left over flexeril 5mg from a prescription written in dec. 2009 and expires 2010. is it safe to take for muscles spasms or should i toss it. i like to keep some in my cabinet because the few times my back gets really bad i am unable to get out of bed. ## Flexeril contains the active ingredient Cyclobenzaprine, which is a muscle relaxant and you should contact your doctor for a new prescription, because it does lose efficacy past the expiration date, so it may not work as well as it did, when it was new. I've tried every other muscle relaxer Tizanidine / (trade names Zanaflex, Sirdalud) Methocarbamol / trade name Robaxin/ Baclofen (brand names Kemstro, Lioresal, Liofen, Gablofen, Beklo and Baclosan) Cyclobenzaprine, brand names Amrix, Flexeril and Fexmid all of these have adverse side effects for me and virtually no muscle relaxer efficacy= they don't work well or really not at all side effects, headaches, dizziness, lots more soma / Carisoprodol however worked very well, and I had to take small amounts so that side effects were able to be kept at a minimum when soma / Carisoprodol began from what I've heard to gain a little popularity with druggies. doctors quit prescribing it, and authorities, the powers that be, began to council doctors against prescribing it I was not ab...

Received white round unscored pills from Mexico w logo on one side & blank on the other side. ## Collins farma...could be mexican Soma. Or another product from this company. ## A drug manufacturer called Collins Farmacéuticos (Pharmaceuticals) out of Mexico is reportedly known for producing unscored white tablets with a bird logo. Unfortunately, they do not list any specific details on their product page that point to a particular medication. However, you can visit their website (at collins.mx) to contact them directly regarding the tablet as a last resort. I only want to know the difference between Pain-O-Soma and Prosoma. ## If you ONLY want to know the difference between these two drugs, you would need to speak to another Felon that has ordered controlled medicine from overseas. Has anyone else had a slightly tingling tongue from taking Fexeril? I just cut my 10mg in half for my first dose. ## Can you be more specific as to what you mean by tingling? The markings on these are a bit hard to read, they tend to not imprint very well, but what I believe you're seeing is actually meant to be R180 and the tablet contains 4mgs of Tizanidine, which is a muscle relaxant, it's a generic for Zanaflex. I have been taken off soma by my pain doc in Sarasota. Does anyone know a pain doc in Sarasota, Bradenton, St Petersburg or Tampa Florida who still writes them? Skelaxin makes me have nausea & vomiting, on flexeril I fell asleep driving and nearly crashed, baclofen did the same with sleepiness. Please help, I'm so uncomfortable. I was on soma for 17 years. My primary will write them, but won't write my pain meds so I'm stuck. ## Have you asked your primary care doctor about still prescribing them for you, while you receive pain medications elsewhere? Are u sick of looking for answers and never find them? I once was too. I was a pharmaceutical chemist then I got a job testing the samples provided for drug testing, this of course after I cleaned up my life. But I have been in you're shoes. Straight up tizanidine will not even be tested for unless the testing party has a reason, such as if you're on probation for tizanadine abuse or go to a pain clinic. Every drug has a cutoff for pass/fail and each person metabolizes differently. Tizanadine is only looked at in about 1% of the samples I test, typically in parole and pain managment cases. If you are still concerned it is a proven fact that flushing your body with water for 24 hours will skew the results and increase you're chances of passing exponentially. Even when I test ...

I had neck surgery two weeks ago and I may have accidentally doubled up on my medication. It is oxycodone/apap (percocet) 5-325 rx'd 1 to 2 every 4 to 6 hours, plus methocarbamol (robaxin) 750 rx'd 1 every eight hours. I may have taken 2 percocets and 1 robaxin at 7:30; then took the same dosage again accidentally at 7:45. For the life of me I can't remember if I had just thought about taking them at 7:30 when I went to take a shower and changed or if I actually did.. and then redosed myself after my shower.. I have not had any all day as I am trying to only take them when absolutely needed. But I had a pretty active day and was hurting so I was taking them to help me sleep.. Hi, I was today prescribed Ardosons for acute pain and inflammatory process of the joint on my middle right finger. I made it clear to the physician that I have blood high pressure and that I was subject to a cateterism on 2006 due to ischemic peripheral vessels. He recommended 1 capsule for four days (with meals) only, however I found that this drug is not indicated for people with blood high pressure and persons with a cardiac history. Is Methocarbam and Methocarbamol the same thing 500mg? Or are they different? ## Likely the same thing considering the 500 mg dose. "Methocarbam" seems like it would be an abbreviation on the prescription bottle. Can you share what the tablets look like (markings, color, shape) or the NDC # on the bottle? ## The names are the same.

Anytime you have been on a medication for a prolonged period, your body becomes dependent on it and you will experience some withdrawal effects if you stop taking it abruptly. How much is too much? I've been realizing I'm taking higher and higher doses. I need help. How much is considered an overdose? ## I know what you mean, but the term overdose itself is explanatory. Anytime you take more of the prescribed dose is an overdose and you risk adverse reactions. It's a gamble each time. I know it's easier said than done, but if you need an adjustment, it's best to talk to your physician. I know that sounds very stuck up and not understanding but I do. I speak from experience that running out early is far worse than needing that adjustment to a higher dose.
