I'm on a high dose, (80 mg) and want to know if by taking them if a "potential" or "questionable" dirty UA (for clonazepam & soma) has a greater chance of coming out clean? These pills make you urinate quite frequently- to say the least! Especially on a very high dose.. So does anyone know for sure? Someone in the Medical profession out there? I'm sure this is a question someone in the profession can answer; but if there's anyone out there who knows 1 way or another- please reply!!! I'm sure I'm not the only 1 who's questioned water pills & what part they play in a UA!
Updated in FurosemideI started this three days ago and I am not going to the bathroom anymore than normal, actually less. I drink around 12-14 bottles of water a day and should be going more? Was on lisinopril for 3.5 years and it just stopped working after a third round of botox inj. for migraines. I wanted to just try a water pill because losartan and clonidine made me feel dead for these past three weeks. BP 164/102-168/110. Took triamterene/hctz three times today cuz I feel I need it about every six hours, hands and feet still swollen and red not going to the bathroom but actually not feeling the BP is high. I had coronary bypass surgery and mital valve repair on Dec 23 2014 and seem to de doing fine although my heart doc says my heart is now only operating at 40%-I also have a below knee amputation do to an anti personel mine explosion 1968 in Vietnam. The question I have is I have been taking Hydroc/Apap 10-325mg once or twice a day for pain in the end of my stump when walking 3 to 5 days a week use to take a stronger pain med before the new law came out-I am almost out of meds an doctor said he could no longer prescribe this for me-My heart surgeron prescribed Ibudone 5-200mg after I left hospital for the pain in my leg which I still have but I have been hesitant to take because I read somewhere not to take before or after bypass sugery-is it safe to now take these for pain since it has ...

Hey there. I just started doing my parents medications. I have my Dad's straight, but am still working on Moms. Mom takes Lisinoprel, primarine, and has a bottle of triamterene hctz. Can't figure out why she was put on this. ( it's Friday, no talking to Doc til Monday). I missed one Dr. Apps with her and gets prescribed !! Any suggestions? how do you take the med???and how late to take not to make you get up during the night???? ## When I was on them, my doctor always had me take it in the morning, to try to minimize the chance that I would have to get up at night and go the bathroom. However, Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic, it helps remove fluid from the body and, as such, there is really no way to completely eliminate the possibility. It is supposed to make you urinate more and urinate more frequently. Have you discussed this with your doctor? Has anyone taken bethanechol 25 mg. 2 x a day.for bladder spasms ,how long did you have to take bethanechol before it worked.did it cause leg cramps, lower back pain and swelling? ## Hi Mitzi, I went ahead and looked up the possible side effects of bethanechol on several different webpages, however I found it odd that none of them listed any of those symptoms in particular. If you have been taking bethanechol and noticed anything unusual or bothersome like that I would strongly encourage you to contact your doctor about it as soon as possible to determine whether the symptoms are in fact related to bethanechol.
