Are there any bars which are equivalent to the original formulary bars? ## From what I could gather, these Choice DM Bars are diabetic snack bars. Some are formulated to prevent hypoglycemia while others are designed to reduce hyperglycemia. These are manufactured by "Mead Johnson Nutritionals". Since this is considered to be a nutritional supplement, I would think that your best bet would be checking out your local GNC or Vitamin Shoppe. Although I did however find another bar that is meant to be similar to these. It is called Ensure Glucerna (Manufactured by Ross Products Division). These bars are formulated to reduce Hyperglycemia. Galvus Met 50/500, I am taking before breakfast as prescribed by a physician since one year but One cardiologist suggests to have it after breakfast. My questions is when it should be taken before breakfast or after breakfast ? ## Normally, these types of medications are taken just before a meal, that way they have a chance to start working by the time you are actually digesting the meal and you would experience the greatest blood sugar elevations. I am a type 2 diabetes, I am taking glycomet trio 2 for the past two years, it very good. My hba1c is always between 6 and 7. Along with glycomet trio 2 I am also taking Istamet 50/500, these two combinations is very good effective. Request your doctor to suggest Glycomet trio 2 and Istamet 50/500, but the glycomet trio 2 is not available in all medical stores, only at apollo pharamacy i am able to get it.

I started using levemir for the first time last night. About thirty minutes after I took it I started getting chest pains. It didn't start out too bad then got worse. It lasted about maybe an hour. Could it have something to do with the levemir? I also think I have really bad anxiety so I don't know if that could of been a factor. I'm nervous to take it tonight. How many mgs is a maximum dose in one day ## Hi Toni, From what I could gather, GG 772 is identified as Glipizide 10 mg. According to nih.gov, the maximum recommended "once daily dose" is 15 mg. However, doses above 15 mg should be divided and given before meals of adequate caloric content. The maximum recommended "total daily dose" is 40 mg, in this regard. My Mother is of 74years and she is diabetic and was prescribed for Glycomat GP-1 twice a day and in the last month doctor has advice to take Glycomat GP-2 twice a day as her Fasting is 158 and after meal its 275. please advice how to control this level and what diet she should take. Recently my 15 yr old son, who was continuously reducing weight got checked, he was having high blood glucose. His all other reports were normal.
