Are there any bars which are equivalent to the original formulary bars? ## From what I could gather, these Choice DM Bars are diabetic snack bars. Some are formulated to prevent hypoglycemia while others are designed to reduce hyperglycemia. These are manufactured by "Mead Johnson Nutritionals". Since this is considered to be a nutritional supplement, I would think that your best bet would be checking out your local GNC or Vitamin Shoppe. Although I did however find another bar that is meant to be similar to these. It is called Ensure Glucerna (Manufactured by Ross Products Division). These bars are formulated to reduce Hyperglycemia. But there are others listed in the link below that are formulated to prevent Hypoglycemia: NOTE: It is a proven fact now, that a low fat raw vegan...

My questions is when it should be taken before breakfast or after breakfast ? ## Normally, these types of medications are taken just before a meal, that way they have a chance to start working by the time you are actually digesting the meal and you would experience the greatest blood sugar elevations. What instructions has the prescribing doctor given you? If they are the one treating your diabetes, then they are the one's whose instructions you should follow.

However, doses above 15 mg should be divided and given before meals of adequate caloric content. The maximum recommended "total daily dose" is 40 mg, in this regard. If I need to take them separately, which one should I take before breakfast and which one after breakfast? ## Hi, Rajendra! How are you?
