It's just not working for the pain like it did at first. I'm in so much pain all day! She said she would switch me back to oxycodone at 60 mg a day since this isn't working well for me anymore. I've had people tell me that Suboxone is much stronger and that 60 mg wouldn't even be enough. Does anyone have any knowledge on this? ## Suboxone and methadone are two entirely different drugs that do two entirely different things. Suboxone is not for pain management Suboxone is to get people off of opiates for their withdrawal and it’s an agonist antagonistic which means it goes to the dopamine receptors in your brain and turns on the signal that you’re ge...
Has anyone had the Sublocade injection? I'm seriously thinking about switching from the films to the monthly injection. ## I haven't tried it, but do think it would be interesting to read how the shot compares to the films or sublingual tablets with regards to efficacy, bioavailability, duration of effects and so forth. According to the manufacturer, "In a 24-week clinical study, people who received Sublocade plus counseling were more likely to have weeks without opioid use compared with people who received a placebo shot (an inj. with no medication) plus counseling." Source: sublocade.com Also, there are some people who take Subutex (buprenorphine) for pain management instead of opioid cravings even though it's not specifically indicated for such use. I'd like t...
Buprenorphine Thesis I'm sure many of you are either perplexed or even intrigued by these Sublocade reviews mentioning miracle-like discontinuation of Buprenorphine (Suboxone/Sublocade) with little to NO withdrawal symptoms. Alongside polar-opposite reviews mentioning terrible induction withdrawals, particularly on day 4 i'm noticing. Well, I believe I just might have the answer to both of these questions or at the very least a solid theory. Everything I'm stating below is nothing more than theoretical. I am not a Licensed MD or Doctor. Having been on Suboxone for more years than I care to admit, I share these theories with you as a fellow addict familiar with all the "ins-and-outs" of opiates and their processes. This is nothing more than my personal opinion and sho...
Can you be on suboxone and take soma for severe muscle spasms and pain? ## Yes. ## I would not suggest doing so without your doctor's approval, but yes, narcotics and muscle relaxants are often prescribed together, to help control pain that one doesn't touch. Suboxone contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine, it is used to help people with drug addiction and to treat some cases od severe pain. Soma contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol, it is a muscle relaxant. Taking the two, together, my aggravate the side effects, which can include: nausea, drowsiness, constipation and dizziness. You can read more about them here: Did you have any other questions? ## Yes, Im rxed both Flexeril, soma, and 16mg Suboxone EDay and Im told by my pharmacist and doc. to use either the flex...
I just started going to the methadone clinic about two weeks ago when they did my intake they said my urine drug test was positive for Suboxone. I've never taken Suboxone in my life so I started at the clinic and reach my max dose which isn't holding me. And when I went in today I asked to make an appointment with the doctor to see if I can be raised they gave me another drug test And again it came up positive for Suboxone. I'm being completely honest when I say I've never taken it. I've heard what it looks like that is either stripped her pills but never even seen it so my question is has anybody else experienced false positives for Suboxone or Know of any other derogatory medicines or foods that would make it come up positive for that? The only thing that I take on...
Is catching covid harder or easier for people if that person is on Methadone for pain management? ## It can vary from person to person, in some cases, opioid use suppresses the immune system, making it easier for someone to catch COVID-19, but according to studies, Methadone is not thought to cause this in most people that take it. Ref: Opioids, and COVID 19 Research Study Everyone is different, so it could also vary from person to person. Socioeconomic factors, such as poverty, and improper hygiene which occur in many opiate addicts can also contribute to the likelihood of COVID-19 infection. It is, however, always best to follow your doctor's instructions, and heed essential COVID-19 protocols, such as wearing a mask when required, cleaning regularly, and washing your hands regula...
I have been on percocet (10mg) 5xday, Oxycontin (80mg x2 & 40mgx1 a day), Motrin 800mg 4x a day, Soma 350mg 4x a day for YEARS. I WANT OFF - how do I control the chronic pain that started all this? I have read that using buprenorphine in a different way than in Saboxin (which I would want to use for withdrawal) is not legal in the U.S. but used in other countries - is there something I can do/try? I do PT, I have my own TENS mach., relaxation tech, I walk, lost weight, go to counselling... What can I do? ## Transdermal Bup now approved by FDA - ask your doc ## Thank you for your response - I have heard the same from other sites... unfortunatly,Dr.'s response is to put me on Methadone - I've known other people who say getting off of that is just as bad,if not worse.I'm lo...
looking for a dr for methadone near deltona fl ## @kush, I was actually able to locate two doctors who are based in Orange City, FL (just outside of Deltona), who are known for prescribing Methadone and other related medications: Bryant Draper Webster Medical Clinic 211 South Volusia Avenue Orange City, FL 32763 (386)775-7500 Edmundo I. Rivera, M.D. 296 Treemonte Drive Orange City, FL 32763 (386)774-6001 Maybe you can give either one of them a try to see if they are accepting any new patients. I hope this helps! ## David, how did you learn about these two doctors? I am looking for the same thing, (a dr to prescribe methadone) in the same area of fl. (Deltona) Thanks ## My son is in the methadone clinic in marion county, and we are now looking for a Dr who prescribes in palm coast or mar...
I was on 80mg of oxycontin 3 times a day and it was no longer helping after taking it for many, many, many years. I switched to Suboxone for my Chronic Pain Mgt. Was on 6mg films for the 1st year and always had extra, as I took them at night. I was shocked how well they worked along with Flexeril for my back, leg and feet pain. Then I was cut to 3mg film once a day. I usually take the 6mg film every other day, and still forget at times, so I may only use 11 instead of 14 in 28 days. I recently tried to cut to the equivalent of 1/3 a day, but the insomnia and anxiety were off the charts after only a few days. At my last appointment it was Student Teaching Day. My Doctor explained how I am there for pain management which is why I haven't been completely we end off the medication. He a...
I had the same doctoe for more than five years. He prescribed me Addeall, Xanex and Suboxone.I am hard pressed to find another doctor to prescribe me than same medications to say nothing of the dose. He however retiered and I am hard pressed to find a doctor to prescreibe me the same medications to say nothing of the doseage. I live in Scranton,Pa. If anyone can help me out I would be eternally grateful. ## Any info on subutex Dr's in the Indy area who accept pregnant women? ## Sounds like a deadly combination! No suboxone doctor I know of will allow you to take benzos on suboxone. It is a very serious drug interaction. They could and should lose their license if they were to prescribe you such a fatal combination! I pray you find a doctor to help you. Please, I beg of you not to mi...
I receive 10mg Methadone made by Roxane Labs... my cousin receives 10mg Methadone made by Mallinckrodt Pharm... my cousin and my sister SWEAR & keep arguing that the Mallinckrodt is stronger than the Roxane.. i've explained that they are the same exact medication & strength, just different makers/distributors but they keep arguing they are stronger.. can you give me some answers or explanations that they may listen to? ## Mallinckrodt is stronger than roxane labs methadone.....Its not just in her head...trust me on this one I have been on this medication for over 9 years and I have taken them both, they are the only 2 manufactuers that make it..Ethex corp made a 40 mg for a while not sure if they still do or not but methadose is definatly stronger. ## This is total nonsense ...
I was wondering how 2 chat (connect) with others who r on suboxone? It seems like u can only post or reply. Does anyone know? ## Hello, Cats68! How are you? Replies to posts are threaded, so you can chat that way, but that's it. This isn't actually a regular chat site, so to speak. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I took a 4 milligram Suboxone and it did not work, then I took another 4 milligram which did not work. Four hours later I took another 4 milligram. How long does this stuff remain in my system? ## Is anyone on here from Orlando or surrounding area? ## You have to micro dose. You can use for 7 ...
I am going to visit a friend in mexico for 23 days. And I take methadone, liquid form... not sure if there is other forms, so that's why i mentioned it's liquid form i take, mixed with orange juice. My doctor has okay me a months supply before i leave, but how do i pack it safetly in my luggage, so it doesn't explode leak, or anything else horrible. Cause god knows i can't go without it, i hear i would become sick as a dog. and i don't want that. i want my trip to be pleasant and relaxing, not dealthy sick. So.. my doctor said he will also write a letter for me for customs in case they go through my luggage and find it... but any advice from anyone... please anyone... i am leaving on mar 5, 2011 and i need answers quickly... packing help, how to pack, what the doctor...
ive took 16mg of suboxone for 1 year. i tapered down to 4mg in just 7 days. then i jumped from the 4mg. its been 10 days.NOTHING!? i had mild nasal issues on day 3, but none of the other terrible symptoms.yet...? should i expect it to come this far into it, or did i just become one of the 1% of people that r lucky enough to not have issues? thanks for any replies! and good luck to everyone whos stopping this medicine. i had to stop, it was making me not feel like a person, its like i was void of emotion. anyone heard of anyone getting withdrawals after this long? ## SOUNDS TO ME LIKE YOU MAY BE LUCKY. I had symptoms at day 2 and they peaked by day 7. then lasted till the 10th day before easing. Im on day 22 and the PAWS are a pain! good luck though, i hope for your sake that you did dod...
I am currently taking Roxicodone 30's each day. I have suboxone 8mg/2mg to help get off of these. I know the suboxones are the best pill made to help with the withdrawals but I'm wondering if for the firsrt 3 to 5 days when I'm having trouble sleeping and feeling clammy, if i should take like half of a Roxicodone 30 (which i have done in the past), as it helps me to sleep and takes away the clammy feeling? Any other suggestions that you may have? Thanks to anyone answering this for me. ## Taking the Oxycodone pills with the Suboxone will do you no good, it contains a substance that neutralizes opiates to prevent their abuse during treatment, that is why it throws you into withdrawals. Suboxone should really not be used without a doctor's supervision, as the dosage and us...
I found a doctor I love but he doesn't know I'm on Methadone. He prescribes me 90 Xanax whichwhichneed because of severe anieyy. Should I tell him or will he dump Mr as a patient ## I always say that it's best to be upfront and honest, especially if you truly like this doctor and want to gain long term trust. Not telling your doctor about this will probably remain on your mind and be a burden every time you visit him/her. Personally, I think if you suffer from anxiety/depression and need a Benzodiazepine class medication (like Klonopin (Clonazepam) or Xanax), your best bet it usually to see a psychiatrist, rather than a regular medical doctor. They are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and can also help you treat the underlying cause of yo...
I'm having a hard time finding a Suboxone Dr near me. And I don't wanna travel to Nashville TN, even though I'm from Carthage, TN. I'm on Amerigroup & I don't mind picking up a service charge. I just don't know if I can personally afford $300.00 dollars for a visit each month. ## In this case, the best advice I can give is to check directly with Amerigroup to see what they will, or will not cover. Amerigroup Website The FDA warns that Suboxone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Ref: Suboxone Information Is there anything I can help with?
Hi everyone! I was wondering if anyone has ever had a problem with suboxone films sticking 2 your teeth ? Sometimes, when I put the film under my tongue, it won't go in right and sticks 2 my teeth. So, I'm trying 2 fix it properly and the film is wet, it then sticks 2 my fingers. It's like wasting half the darn film. Anyone else experience this? ## Hey Cats, The films get messy. I use a mirror when possible and sometimes it still gets all over the place. I found out the hard way not to touch the films once they get wet. ## There really isn't going to be a huge difference in absorption if it sticks to your teeth and dissolves elsewhere in the mouth. You are still going to get the medication into your body. Thus, unless your doctor advises otherwise, it may be best to just...
I live in a Smaller town in South Carolina than you can imagine! No one here gets around too well if you don't have a vehicle, and I'm one. How can someone like me get Suboxone filled online while using SC Blue Medicaid? Any suggestions are welcome! ## I would suggest calling the Medicaid number, and asking if they have a mail order service that you can use, you may also want to check with local pharmacies and ask if they have delivery services. The FDA warns that Suboxone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Ref: Suboxone Information Does anyone else have any suggestions that may help?
I heard there is a website you can go to if you're disabled on Medicaid and Medicare in Virginia with a list of doctor's who accept it for Subutex and I also was told just pick up the phone and call each one until you find one that is seeing new patients at this time. If anyone can help me plz just post back if possible. ## I had been calling all these doctors that are popping up on the internet as it takes a specific type of doctor's or a special requirement for your own doctor to write prescriptions like methadose/methadone Suboxone an Subutex an my pain med doctor can only write my pain meds cause he don't have the other license to prescribe those 3 so I heard there is a Medicaid or Medicare website with a list of prescribing doctors that will see a patient with Medic...
