I only took two Subutex 8 milligrams. How long till I can take Oxycodone 15 mg? ## You will still need to wait at least 72 hours, before the Oxycodone will be effective, due to the Suboxone blocking it's affect, unless your doctor instructs you otherwise. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## First of all, he said subutex, not suboxone. That being said, 16mg is quite a bit so I would wait at least 24 hours. You won't go into withdrawal as it doesn't contain the same naloxone that suboxone has. You might not feel it though as the subutex is still working. No need to take such...

i am looking for a doctor in Long Island that is covered dy Medicaid ## Forgettabout' it! I'll do you a favor and save you at least 1&1/2 days which ='s wasting 36 hours calling dozens of doctors trying and hoping to find just even a single one who will accept even any kind of insurance (let alone yours). Not even any or even a one doctor will accept any medical insurance for suboxone treatment/ prescription and if you do find that one doctor in the NY tri-state area, please let me know. Legally/according to law, they away required and have to accept your insurance as payment, if they participate/accept your health insurance plan. BUT say suboxone/subutex/buprenorphrine & your done --- meaning no insurances are ever accepted for opiate maintenance programs. Dirty, sn...

Can you take Subutex 10 hours after consuming methadone in the same day? ## Hello, Homer! How are you? As long as your doctor has approved it, then yes. Subutex does not contain the Naloxone, like Suboxone does, which would neutralize the Methadone that may cause dangerous precipitated withdrawals. As listed by the NIH: This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## First hand experience, because I don't with this on my worst enemy, but I take methadone and has been out and so I took subutec and about hour later, got hotflashes pouring swear, body shaking, using bathroom on my self because couldn't hold it, I was in ...

I had been on Suboxone for almost 8 years. In my opinion it is a wonder drug compared to all the opiates that the pain clinics are all too willing to prescribe .I have been out of my Suboxone for a week & a half. I feel like I am dying. I can not sleep. I have a 5 month old new baby boy. I can hardly pick him up due to the pain that I am in. I hurt all over. i have been so nauseated. My doctor who 's visits were cash bases only, however medicaid would take care of the actual prescription of 60, 8 mg. At one time I WAS PRESCRIBED 4, 8 MG SUBS A DAY. i WOULD KILL JUST TO HAVE A QUARTER RIGHT NOW TO FEEL LIKE NORMAL AGAIN. My doctor decided that he no longer wants to deal with any one with medicaid due to the fact that his office does not "LIKE TO HANDLE PRIOR AUTHORIZATIONS ...

I am taking suboxone films 8mg. I am wondering if the bottom bridge i have on my teeth effect the absortion? Will it have a reaction to the metal behind my front teeth? Idk wat to do. It doesnt seem to work same when i leave them in. Anyone know the real deal with this???? Please help!! Thanks so much in advance. ## Absorbtion rates can vary for a number of reasons. Time, meaning how long bupe is held in the mouth, amount of saliva build up, and most importantly how much area is covered in the mouth area. In your case, if the dose or part of it is laying on the medal of bridge, it can't be absorbed in this spot. What needs to be done here and anyone else dosing, is when you start to dose, use the driest mouth possible to start, but more importantly is to take the end of end or tip o...

I was in a wreck in 2001 and it mangled the left side of my body. My left arm is most visible from the outside. I have records in order. I've had a great relationship with my 78yr old Dr until the last 3 months. I have been in Methadone 90mg/day + Valium 40mg 3Xs/day for over 16years. He very suddenly decided to stop prescribing my Valium (for severe muscle spasms and heart arrhythmia that causes SEVERE panic attacks) because he suddenly says, after 8 yrs of prescribing them both, that using them in combination KILLS. However, all the literature he's citing says if they are ABUSED in combination, that's when it's deadly. I'm an RN, so he knows I call bulls*** when I hear it AND during his mad, hair brained total cold turkey-ing my benzodiazepine, I suffered a stroke ...

I'm going to make this very clear - do not take suboxone until you're feeling every one of the withdrawal symptoms. My husband and I have been prescribed opiates for almost ten years w/ morphine er 60mg 2*per day each for 4 years but I wish the dr n pharmacy would have been more demanding and stress to wait til you're in full wd before taking subs and they didn't say at all that morphine is the worst cuz it binds to your receptors long-term. So just to warn anybody that is going to transition from morphine to suboxone 8mg strips' I strongly urge you to wait til u feel every symptom cuz it put us in full wd within 30 min and we waited 24hrs before taking one strip!! Omfg......Thank god we had each other. So another thing I really strongly suggest is that you have some...

Looking for a Doc to prescribe me methadone for addiction treatment can't have a life on these clinics Philly especially phila programs been on methadone for a couple years, works great. Please if there is someone who can help me please contact me. If I had a doc I could have a life again tired of people who go to these clinics who don't care ## You can't receive it from a private physician for addiction treatment. Under federal law, it can only be given for addiction treatment in a clinical setting by people that are specially trained to do so. Learn more Methadone details here. Have you considered trying Suboxone? It's got a better success rate at enabling people to eventually become completely drug free. Learn more Suboxone details here. ## Need a Dr. in Philadelphia,...

Okay so I have been reading all kinds of horror stories about methadone tapering, which to be honest scared the crap out of me. I was at about 85 mg of methadone a day for a nasty opiate addiction. I worked with my counselor and other out patient treatment programs to working on the underlying causes of addiction. When I felt that I was stable enough emotionally and had no more desire to IV I started to taper, VERY VERY SLOWLY!!! I went down 1 mg a week. and from everything I have read that is a very long taper and slower taper. My doctor worked with me assessing all aspects of my life, not just the physical w/d. I would stop my taper for a week or two here and there when stress entered my life, just to give me time to catch up and see what to do and not stress my body more. The more I ...

Hi I'm Jason. I'm currently on 50ml of liquid methadone for opiate addiction. I really want to detox off this poison. I've just moved 14 miles to West London in England UK, it's a great move as I was living in a room in Tottenham North London, which was a complete and utter s***hole, excuse my French. My mental health really went out the window and I abused drugs most days and nights, as I was surrounded by it in my flat. There was even a drug dealer and everyone I knew took these drugs, it was hell. Anyway I'm now after 4 years alone again in a beautiful 1 bedroom flat that's all mine. No one knows me. I don't touch drugs but I'm still on 50 ml of methadone. So I'm asking you guys what's the least dangerous way to cut down and get off this stuff,...

If I took 1 small dose of Heroin on Wednesday afternoon at 4 pm. Will I be clean for my drug test on Monday at 5 pm? I'm giving it 5 days. The time frame, however, can vary from person to person, depending on your overall health, activity levels, fluid intake, metabolism and etc. Learn more Heroin information here. Does anyone else have any advice or information to offer? ## I took a dose of heroin friday night like 10pm. I have a urine test tomorrow thurs @4:30. Should I pass? What experiences do you all have with coming off of Sublocade? Would you say it’s a lengthy process? I took 1-100mg dose 4 months ago and for the last month I’m very fatigued and lethargic. Idk if it’s an extended withdrawal but that’s what it’s feels like. It’s not horrible, but I want my regular energy back. I’ve gone through this dog and pony show before, and after I get another injection, I feel like my regular self. My doctor wants me to suck it up as I may need it for life. I refuse to buy into that. I want to be free from these substances. ## I wish I had an answer for you but I'm still on the shot myself. How long were you on the shot for? I'm coming up on 8 months and looking at stopping at the year mark. My Doc is saying the sa...

How do you administer the orange Suboxone pill imprinted with 54 375? "Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Tablets must be administered whole. Do not cut, chew, or swallow Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Tablets. Advise patients not to eat or drink anything until the tablet is completely dissolved. Buprenorphine and Naloxone Sublingual Tablets should be placed under the tongue until it is dissolved. I have been on suboxone strip for over a yr. I had wisdom teeth pulled last Thursday and ate my last 7.5s yesterday at 12pm. When can I take my subs again ## Hi Eric, Some people suggest waiting anywhere from 1-3 days in between using hydrocodone and suboxone, while others have noted that they only needed to wait 12 hours... Rumor has it that the waiting time is based on when you start to feel withdrawals from opiates before attempting to take any suboxone, so in reality the time frame may be somewhat different for everyone. However, due to the sensitive nature of the situation, I would still encourage you to seek confirmation with your prescribing doctor and/or dentist just to be on the safe side. Hope this helps! Does anyone else have feedback/advice from personal experience? ## Just ...

I started treatment on methadone 1 year ago and it has been the best thing that has ever happened to me. I have my life back. I am have been to clinics in CA, NC, and now south carolina. Reno Nevada was pretty lax with take homes but now after transferring to sc with the same company I thought by transfering to same clinic in a different state I would keep take homes. Its the most important thing in my life to get take homes. I absolutely hate going in every day to dose. I am looking for any coastal city (I am a surfboard shape) that has a good clinic with relaxed take home approvals. I'm clean almost always but consume cannabis sometimes cause no one will prescribed me my kpins while im on methadone. California didn't even test for cannabis, but I had no take homes cause that...

Hello, everyone! I have heard from different people that they can eat and drink right after taking subs. Others have said 2 wait a half hour. Does anyone know which is true? Hi Guys. Tuesday night was the last time I had taken opiates. I was taking around 480mg Codiene per day. Yesterday (Wednesday) at 9am I took 4mg Suboxone, then an hour later I felt dizzy and sick. At around 6pm I took the last 4mg and felt the same. Today (Thursday), the pharmacist gave me the whole 8mg to take at once. Well, once again, after an hour the dizziness was very mild but the sickness was horrendous and I couldn't stop. I can only describe it as being on a fair ride and not being able to get off. My pharmacist said that this could be due to me starting the subs too soon (*not sure what this means). My question is - has anyone else suffered this, and if so, how long am I looking at? I've had to take time off work, and Christmas is in a few days. This is very new to me ...

I'm currently on 24 mg of Suboxone after asking my doctor to switch from 50 mg of oxycodone to suboxone. It's just not working for the pain like it did at first. I'm in so much pain all day! She said she would switch me back to oxycodone at 60 mg a day since this isn't working well for me anymore. I've had people tell me that Suboxone is much stronger and that 60 mg wouldn't even be enough. Does anyone have any knowledge on this? ## Suboxone and methadone are two entirely different drugs that do two entirely different things. Suboxone is not for pain management Suboxone is to get people off of opiates for their withdrawal and it’s an agonist antagonistic which means it goes to the dopamine receptors in your brain and turns on the signal that you’re ge...

Has anyone had the Sublocade injection? I'm seriously thinking about switching from the films to the monthly injection. ## I haven't tried it, but do think it would be interesting to read how the shot compares to the films or sublingual tablets with regards to efficacy, bioavailability, duration of effects and so forth. According to the manufacturer, "In a 24-week clinical study, people who received Sublocade plus counseling were more likely to have weeks without opioid use compared with people who received a placebo shot (an inj. with no medication) plus counseling." Source: sublocade.com Also, there are some people who take Subutex (buprenorphine) for pain management instead of opioid cravings even though it's not specifically indicated for such use. I'd like t...
