Need Doctor In Arklatex Area To Rx Methadone + Benzodiazepine

I was in a wreck in 2001 and it mangled the left side of my body. My left arm is most visible from the outside. I have records in order. I've had a great relationship with my 78yr old Dr until the last 3 months. I have been in Methadone 90mg/day + Valium 40mg 3Xs/day for over 16years. He very suddenly decided to stop prescribing my Valium (for severe muscle spasms and heart arrhythmia that causes SEVERE panic attacks) because he suddenly says, after 8 yrs of prescribing them both, that using them in combination KILLS. However, all the literature he's citing says if they are ABUSED in combination, that's when it's deadly. I'm an RN, so he knows I call bulls*** when I hear it AND during his mad, hair brained total cold turkey-ing my benzodiazepine, I suffered a stroke and was dead for 6 full minutes before being brought back. This was due SOLELY to the severe, prolonged benzodiazepine withdrawal. My NEW primary care Doc reinstated my benzo (Valium), but with a plan to come off if it because my pain management Dr called him and threatened him with malpractice!

Personally, I think my 78 yr old PM doc is suffering from paranoid dementia, as he has all the other signs & symptoms, as well. Even after DYING & being shocked back to life and rehabbing from a STROKE AT 36 yrs old, because of HIS malpractice, he still refuses to continue to prescribe my pain mess hike in benzos, even after he prescribed them to me for over 8 yrs & knows I've been on both for over 16yrs and the only DEADLY thing was his suddenly stopping my medication. He refuses to prescribe them together or prescribe me any pain meds if another dr is prescribing me a benzodiazepine (Valium). I need a doctor that prescribes methadone and will prescribe my Valium as well. Any long acting benzo will do, although Valium works the best. I'm allergic or have many horrible side effects from other opiods, so I only have a few options for pain meds. I can't take morphine, dilaudid, Tramadol, hydrocodone or ANY agonist/antagonist mix (i.e. Suboxone, Stadol, nubain, talwin). So, my only options are long acting pain meds are methadone, OxyContin, HIGH dose of fentanyl patches And Demerol for breakthrough pain (but usually have to gi without. My current PM doc. Only prescribes it sporadically & sparingly and then he will freak suddenly abs be like, "you can't take this!" Until he forgets and offers it to me again. He's LOST HIS MIND!

I need a doctor within a 2 hour drive that prescribes methadone (or other comparably dosed long acting opioid I'm NOT allergic to) And... I must have my benzodiazepine. PLEASE HELP! I know of many in this same situation. No more deaths due to crazy OLD doctors. God bless and if I find anything, I WILL HELP YOU, TOO! (A Dr. Weedman in Texarkana is looking promising. Wish me luck and I will report back here.)

Look for a methadone clinic first off then when you get there you will likely see a doctor who you can talk to about any other medical concerns you have.
