It's possible that you could have a Nicorette pill that was manufacturer by a different company or this one just includes less of the binders and fillers in the formula. What are your thoughts? Can this muscle relaxer be taken to help with anxiety? ## Yes, as it has some similar properties as anti anxiety medicine. However Soma can also cause anxiety too! ## @Laura, I just did some research and read that Soma (Carisoprodol) can be used for anxiety like Eddy mentioned, however, it's not often prescribed for that because since it's a muscle relaxer it can actually have strong sedation effects. Also, Soma is only meant to be used in the short-term, often less than three weeks. There is a natural muscle relaxer known as valerian root that I've tried for anxiety but it also works for insomnia, and well, it definitely made me calm but also very very sleepy just like the Soma might do. However, I've been unable to find a list of the specific ingredients. The tablet with the 832 BC 20 marking is also not Soma, it contains 20mgs of Baclofen, which is a more mild muscle relaxant. Does this medication have the potential for addiction and abuse? ## Amrix (cyclobenzaprine) is a potent pain killer which works by supressing the central nervous system. It has an additive effect with alcohol, and long half life which means high risk for overdose. This drug is very dangerous and should not be used other than how prescribed. ## I'm sorry, but that is not correct. Amrix does contain the active ingredient Cyclobenzaprine, but it is just a muscle relaxant, it is used to help treat the muscle pain that's associated with sprains, strains and spasms. soma compound which side is soma white or lavender ## For anyone still seeking an identification on this, the oblong, white tablet with the W on one side and 724 on the other contains 250mgs of Divalproex Sodium. So, it is not a Soma Compound tablet, nor is it any type of muscle relaxant. This medication is actually used to treat the manic episodes of bipolar disorder and epilepsy. As to tablets that may have one color on one side and a different one on the other, (this one does not!) you cannot separate out one drug constituent by color, that's not how it works. Have been told that Soma, or Meprobromate, is over-the-counter in Europe, and used mainly for anti-seizure med. Any info? ## I believe there was some confusion involved with this post. Soma contains the active ingredient Carisoprodol, it's a muscle relaxant. And Meprobamate is a minor tranquilizer and anti-anxiety medication.
