Can a docter anywhere in the us prescribe me methadone and have it shipped to me in maine about six months ago I found a site that a docter in Florida prescribes it and a pharmacy in New York fills it then it's shipped to me in maine can you help me find that site ## Hello, Kellie! How are you? No, it is actually illegal to do that. Methadone is a controlled substance, since it's a narcotic, so under current laws, you are actually supposed to physically see your doctor regularly for an exam and consultation to have it prescribed. Learn more Methadone details here. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Doctors that do that type of thing have actually ...

small round white pill unscored, P over 5 on one side, blank on other. What is it? Found on ground at a friends house, just curious. ## I was only able to find one unconfirmed reference that said it could be a 5mg Methadone pill from Canada. You'd have to look into Canadian drug databases to confirm this match however. It is very likely that this pill is manufactured outside of the U.S. since the description does not show up in any of the U.S. drug databases. Another thing you can do is take the pill over to your local pharmacy and see if they have any particular way of testing for ingredients. Unfortunately there's not much else you can do in a situation where the pill is manufactured outside of the U.S.; but please post back if you're able to have some luck with either of ...

Hi, I have been on oxy's for over a year started out on small dosages now I'm up to 45mg 180 pills every 2 weeks. I want to get help so bad I've lost the person I am. I am not the mother I once was to my children. I know my addiction has affected everyone in my family. When I'm on the pill I'm ok no pains life is great but when I run out its pure hell. Here's my question if I were to go to a rehab center today cause I'm going through withdrawl as I'm out of my medication and not due for a refill till Tuesday. Does this mean that when I get out of the rehab center I can no longer fill my prescriptions cause I checked myself into rehab and will now be labeled a drug seeker and the pharmacy won't fill my scripts anymore? Does anyone know the answer to th...

can I take ciprofloxacin hcl 500mg with methadone 5mg ## Were these both prescribed to you? There is nothing to contraindicate their being used together, though you may experience more side effects, such as drowsiness and nausea. Ciprofloxacin is an antibiotic used to treat various types of infections. You can read more on it here: ## I just read a case of someone put on cipro while on 50mg methadone per day and he ended up with a methadone toxicity due to the cipro. There are better, less reactive antibiotics to take if one is on methadone of ANY dose. The guy also ended up with aspiration pneumonia and was placed in ICU. He did pull through but this would be something I wouldn't take a chance with!

What are the laws on driving while taking methadone in the state of Maryland ## Hello, Pac! How are you? If it impairs you, such as causing you to feel drowsy, high, dizzy or etc. then it could be considered driving under the influence. That is why most such mediations carry warnings that you should not drive or operate dangerous machinery, until you know how the medication affects you. The FDA lists this as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

i need to know what medications will cancell my methadone i take for pain relief ## According to interaction checkers, Methadone interacts or conflicts with over 700 different types of medication. If there is any specific drug or drugs that you intend on taking with methadone, I can look this information up for you and let you know if they interact. It would be a nightmare trying to track down and post over 700 possibilities. ## Klonopin, geodone, ## My wife is doing weekends in jail, she is on 40mgs of methadone, seroquil and lamictal, she came back positive for pcp and marijuana or spice even though she does neither. can taking these drugs together make her come up falsely for this? ## U CAN take klonopin while taking methadone. I took klonopin when I was on methadone. ( with Drs pres...

i am a 23 year old four time cancer survivor with chronic pain. i take methadone but was dropped cold turkey from my clinic and have serious withdrawal if theres anyone in the pittsburgh area that can help please do. FED UP ## Why were you dropped so abruptly from the clinic? That's very unusual, since they know how dangerous Methadone withdrawals can be. Learn more Methadone details here. The best suggestion I can make is that if your withdrawals get really bad, go to a nearby emergency room, where they will have to help you, at least until you are stable. ## for failing to report that i was given a shot of pain med in the er ## im from NH, and they cant do that at our clinics. there are laws the prohibit it. I'm currently on methadone for my rheumatoid arthritis in both knees. I dive 140 miles each day from Wyoming (will not prescribe methadone) to a clinic in Colorado. I would so appreciate a listing of physicians in Colorado who will prescribe this life saving pain medication! Thank you soo much! ## Hello, Debbie! How are you? I'm sorry, but under current laws, a clinic is your only option. Regular doctors are not allowed to prescribe it for addiction treatment and since you've been going to a clinic, even if it was just for pain, that's what is in your medical records, so no regular doctor will be able to prescribe it for you. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mo...

Does Methadone block the effects of Methamphetamine? ## Methadone actually doesn't block anything, its just that in respect to other opiates, the receptors are flooded by the Methadone, so someone may not feel any effect from them, if they take them while on it. Learn more Methadone details here. However, since the Methadone is a downer and the other a stimulant, there is the possibility of a dangerous interaction occurring between the two, so they shouldn't be taken together, unless a doctor has specifically instructed you to do so. Are there any other questions or comments? ## My Dr. has had me on methadone 110mg./day for almost 3 years-I had facial nerve damage; then my wonderful s.o. refused to shovel out my car and I subsequently destroyed my spine-in summary I have been in...

Hi, I live in Methuen, Ma and am looking for a doctor who accepts mass health for insurance and prescribes methadone. Thank You, Sunnygrl1973 ## Hello, Sunnygrl! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of doctors according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. If you require Methadone for pain, then due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, if you require it for addiction/maintenance treatment, then a clinic is your only option, since private practice doctors cannot prescribe it for that. Can anyone...

I am in Pinehurst, NC and currently seeing a back specialist. He has me on 180 Oxycodone 10/325 per month. I am addicteded to them. I wonder if I discuss it with him, could he switch me to Methadone. I am about to start going to the Methadone clinic but, the hours will conflict with my job. ## He could only prescribe them for pain, not for addiction treatment. Under U.S. law that can only be done by someone that's specially trained in treating addiction. However, I have an important question for you.... Are you addicted to the Oxycodone, or are you just dependent on it at your current dosage? There is a big difference. An addict abuses it and they keep taking more and more, because they like the way it makes them feel. This means they usually run out early and have to doctor hop or ...

i need to find a pain management DR .that prescribes Methadone and takes Monarch Insurance in Orange County my primary MD is going to send a referal to see if it is the rite medication for me. ## Hello, From what I've read, the only way to obtain Methadone is through a clinic unless you've already been to a clinic and are given "take home dosages". Down below is the contact info for a couple treatment centers that you can contact about being prescribed Methadone- they should be able to answer your questions. Requesting a discount card to purchase the 10 mgs of the medication better known as Methadone with the markings ASC 116. ASC small white pill ## Hello, God Father! How are you? I'm sorry, but since this is a generic and cheaper by its very nature, there are no manufacturer provided assistance programs available for it. However, if you look towards your right on this website, there is a link to a free, printable discount card that might help you save money at the pharmacy. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Alternatively, you could also ask at your pharmacy to see which ones they accept and which would save you the most. ...

I HAVE BEN ON METHADONE NOW FOR 16 YEARS TRIED TO GET OFF NOW 3 TIMES ALLERGIC TO SUBOXONE BUT NOT SUBUTEX,CAN NOT FIND A DOCTOR WHO WILL PERSCRIBE ME IT ON MY INSURANCE? WILL TAKE MY INS. ON SUBOXONE?NOT ONE DOCTOR WHO WILL PERSCRIBE ME SUBUTEX? ## Hello, John! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Is your allergy listed in your medical records? If not, that might be the problem. Suboxone is preferred, because it helps prevent the abuse of other medications, while someone is under treatment with it, as listed by the FDA. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Thus, Subutex is a last resort and only used, when someone has docume...

THOUGHT THE PHARMACY GAVE THE WRONG MEDS TODAY AND WAS A LITTLE UPSET UNTIL I LOOKED IT UP ON THE WEB.I HAVE NEVER SEEN THESE KIND AFTER 15 YEARS OF PRESCRIPTIONS. IT IS SAID THERE IS NO DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GENERIC AND TRUE MEDS BUT I BEG TO DIFFER.THESE SEEM TO CARRY YOU ALOT LONGER AND I BELIEVE THERE ALOT STRONGER. I'D RATHER HAVE THESE ANY DAY. ## Hello, Doodle! How are you? Yes, both are listed in the prescription drug identification databases as containing 10mgs of Methadone. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, I'm glad that this one seems to work better for you. Is there anything else I can help with?

I got addicted to methadone about 2 years ago decided to get of methadone and started taking suboxone to avoid the withdrawals fast forward 1 year later and I'm now trying to get off the suboxone I took methadone for 12 days and thought I would be over the worse part, wrong! A buddy of mine got me some 15mg Morphine pills which I took immediately because I felt like crap so my question is am I just setting myself up for failure because it just seems like I'm going in circles ## Yes, you really seem to be regularly replacing one drug with the next. Have you considered getting professional help with this? A doctor can help you by prescribing a dose of Suboxone that is high enough to stave off withdrawals, then gradually lowered to help you become drug free. According to the FDA, t...

On 60mg. of methadone. Want to due a taper of 5mg. per day til at 30mg. Stop for two days, Then start Suboxone 8mg per day for two weeks then discontinue. Does this sound doable? ## Hello, Jencruise1! How are you? That could be too rapid of a taper for the Methadone, according to the FDA, it is highly addictive and tends to cause severe cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Additionally, waiting 2 days to take the Suboxone could be too long or too short of a time period to start it. You need to be in full withdrawal, which for some people could be 12 hours, or it may take several days. Taking it too soon could cause you to go into precipitated withdrawals, which can be very dangerous and, if you go into severe withdrawals sooner, there'd be no point in waiting longer to take it. 2 weeks...

According to the drug identification databases, this tablet is listed as containing 50mgs of Tramadol, which is a different opiate analgesic. The FDA lists this as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
