Help With Oxys And Going To Rehab Center

Hi, I have been on oxy's for over a year started out on small dosages now I'm up to 45mg 180 pills every 2 weeks. I want to get help so bad I've lost the person I am. I am not the mother I once was to my children. I know my addiction has affected everyone in my family. When I'm on the pill I'm ok no pains life is great but when I run out its pure hell. Here's my question if I were to go to a rehab center today cause I'm going through withdrawl as I'm out of my medication and not due for a refill till Tuesday. Does this mean that when I get out of the rehab center I can no longer fill my prescriptions cause I checked myself into rehab and will now be labeled a drug seeker and the pharmacy won't fill my scripts anymore? Does anyone know the answer to this? I've searched on line and could find nothing to answer this question. Please don't judge I know I have a serious issue and I want to get help and my life back but I take the pills cause I have nerve damage and my back & spine are very messed up buldging disk in my neck which I've already had 4 surgeries for it. Its just going through the withdrawal without pills is killing me and I want to be able to get some help till I can get my medicine I just don't know if I were to go to a rehab center If that meant I could never get my medicines refilled again. Appreciate any advice anyone has about this topic.

Hello, VickyV! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having.

You can't just check into a rehab center for a short period of time, until you can get more medications. They will want you to commit to a full treatment plan.

However, since you do have pain, you may want to look into treatment with Methadone, or Suboxone. They are both classified by the FDA as narcotic analgesics, so they have the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. But, this also means that they can help with pain, while keeping your addiction under control, at the same time.

As to the question regarding prescriptions, I am really not sure on that. I depends on what is reported to the government.

Does anyone else know more on this?
