Looking for a Dr because it costs so much to go to clinic. On 120 MG's. Live in west Tennessee. Any suggestions? ## Hello, Brandon! How are you? Unfortunately, you're not going to be able to switch. Due to the current laws, for addiction/maintenance, it can only be given in a clinical setting by those that have been specially trained in its use for such. Regular doctors can only prescribe it for pain and what you currently have in your records is the fact that you were going to a treatment clinic, so a regular doctor isn't going to be able to prescribe it for you. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hello Brandon, not sure if you have found a doctor yet to help yo...

UpdatedHow much methadone should i take while im taking one subtext everyday? ## When it comes to proper dosing protocols, usually your doctor is the best person to ask. However I have heard that Methadone and Subutex are sometimes approved to be used together since Subutex doesn't have Naloxone. And please correct me if I'm wrong, but in that aspect you shouldn't have to worry about Subutex taking Methadone off the receptors as Suboxone would; leading to precipitated withdrawals. I would just encourage you to discuss how much you should be taking with your doctor, since he/she is the one prescribing it. Does anyone else have advice from personal experience?
I'm trying to find a doctor or program that will prescribe methadone to keep me off of street opiates that doesn't make me go there everyday to get "dosed". I just can't involve my family and I don't want to lie to get out on weekends. I live in Dunedin Fl. and I'm insured but I'll not use insurance if that is required. My goal is to wean the methadone down to 2 a day then go on subutex to get off all together. The clinics I have called expect me to go 4 days with no methadone then start subutex or suoxone. I'm at 100mg per day of methadone and 4 days without is impossible. I'm 61 years old with heart issues. Cold turkey withdrawal will kill me but the clinics really don't worry about that. ## Oh you gonna go EVERYDAY to a methadone clinic and...
Hello, I have raced horses my whole life and been in multiple accidents over the years and now have arthritis in my neck, back and shoulder. I was put on oxycodone for about 2 years but afraid I was getting addicted so I quit taking it and my dr has since retired. My pain is getting worse and worse and I've had a few people tell me that methadone would work good and I wouldn't crave it like the oxycodone. I don't have insurance so I'd be self pay, but I would really like to find a dr in the Lebanon, OH area that could hopefully prescribe this for me. Thank you very much ## That's not necessarily true, Methadone is actually well known for causing cravings, as well as severe withdrawals. That's why most people that are treated with it for addiction end up on a life...
i moved to bilixi a few months ago. i detoxed from methadone using suboxone. finally found a doctor now i need to fill the prescription ## Hello, Reeree! How are you? Have you tried asking your doctor? They may know who in the area can fill it for you, there might even be a specific pharmacy that they recommend for their patients. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. If you've been trying to find a pharmacy on your own, you should be made aware that you can't call them to ask about such a medication. They have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a legitimate patient with a need, or a potential thief, so they will usually just tell you th...

Are you on any medications? It is very difficult for anyone to even guess the cause from just the information provided in an online post. ## I have been to 2 different neurologist, neurosurgeon, pain management, primary care doctor no results. Have taken every kind of anti depressant, seizure medications, pain medications, muscle relaxers, shots in back and groin area twi...
i took i methadone how long will it stay in my urin ## The usual detection time for Methadone in a urine test is approximately 7 days, after last dosing. The precise time frame can vary from person to person, depending on your metabolism, overall health, activity levels, fluid intake and etc. but a week is the general average for most people. Learn more Methadone details here. If you have a prescription for it, then you simply have to inform them of that, when you go in for testing. Do you have a test coming up? ## I do, in a few weeks. I was taking appox 30mg 3 times a day, did not affect my pain and I did not like the 'so what' feeling.so went back on lortabs which I have taken for about 15 years. I am a professional and .
I am curently on methadone/xanax at crusader clinic in Rockford illinois. Due to my P.a. not properly reading my charts it looks as though I have 4-5 drugs shown in urine test that my dr /pa did not prescribe. So I am being taken off methadone and xanax for chronic back pain. Can my pain management provider who has a private practice take me as a client,or do I have to get a Different M.D since the one I have is dropping me.
Updatedpray alot,it will work, any thing you put your mind too and praying helps alot ## i just thought that i should tell u that u shouldnt be giving advice to ppl addicted to methadone if ur gonna say pray...methadone is a opiate and i dont know if you know what an opiate which is what herion, morhpine, pure percocets, oxycontin, roxycontin, and other extremely strong pain killers are...and if you know anything about opiats is that they are extremelly addictive and not mind they are physically addictive...ppl die from the withdrawls so please before give advice know what you are talking about!!!!!!! ## Wow, jumped down her throat there. I'm sure she assumed that her advice would be given in general knowledge that no one is going to come off their medication lickity split and hop on their ...
I am a electrician for 17 years and my knees hurt and occasionally have bad aches in my feet and I've took other pain meds and for use to them and started getting use to them and took methadone and it works great ## Hello, Darrell! How are you? There is no such thing as a Methadone doctor, technically, any doctor that has their license and can prescribe medications can prescribe it for pain. However, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year, if you require such a medication on a long-term ongoing bass for the treatment of chronic pain, you'll need to see a pain management specialist. Do you currently have a PCP that could refer you to someone? That would most likely be the fast and easy way to find the help you need. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the...
I am on 165mgs a day. I take liquid. I am being told I need to taper bc I have been going there for almost 4 years. I am terrified. Mostly bc I have been sweating and feeling like s*** AGAIN. Chills and all. I feel like I am already in withdraw. I am scared. But at the same time: I gained literally one HUNDRED pounds since being on this junk. What should I do? I am terrified but I do want my body and mind back. I started this so I would stay normal. Not to lose myself and I definitely do not feel like ME. Please HELP! Is there anything I can do to feel better? To lose weight on this stuff? Will I lose the pounds when I do taper? ## Hello, Angel! How are you? I understand your concerns, but at some point, it is normal for them to want you to taper. They generally try to get people down t...
What's the difference between Roxane 54/142 and 54/549 dolophine 10mg pills? Is the dolophine stronger and where can I fill my RX for the later? My pharmacy has been filling hydrochloride instead of dolophine I'm prescribed. These are both methadone. ## Hello, Debby! How are you? Yes, both of the tablets you've mentioned contain 10mgs of Methadone. It seems you're misunderstanding what some of this stuff means, so I'll try to clear it up for you. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Hydrochloride only designates the specific chemical salt that the medication is derived from, so these are both actually Methadone Hydrochloride, thus neithe...
A special person in my life has been taking methadone for over 10 yrs. Like a lot of other comments, the clinic really is impossible to try to pay for. Just found out his ins. will cover methadone. Now desperately need to find a m.d. in southeast KY who will write prescription. Nearest to bell county. ## Hello, Bill! How are you? I'm sorry, but if he has been going to an addiction clinic for treatment or maintenance, then he must remain at the clinic. It is against the law for a regular doctor to prescribe it for that. I wish I had better news for you, many people have asked, but this is the way the laws currently stand. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipat...
I found half of an oblong white pill imprinted with A 5 as it's last 2 digits ## Hi Jen, Would the last two digits be "55" or "A5"? Just wanted to confirm. If it's "55", one guess I have is that it may be a 5mg Methadone tablet manufactured by Mallinckrodt. This particular tablet is white and oblong with an imprint of "M 57 55"... The "M" is on one side and on the other there is a score line that divides the "57" | "55". So if you have only half a tablet it may just contain the "55" and nothing else. Certainly worth looking into if you can pull up a photograph on google. Can you please post back and let me know if that's actually what it turns out to be? Thanks!
im in texas and have been on methadone for 9 yrs and its not looking good to get my methadone in williston, mabe a dr cause i see North dakota is the only state that does not take methadone clinics help please ## Hello, Rebecca! How are you? If you require it for addiction/maintenance treatment, then a clinic is your only option. A private practice doctor is not allowed to prescribe it for that. And yes, North Dakota does have Methadone clinics, as well. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Do you know where the methadone clinics are in north Dakota ??? I've been trying to move there for the past 3 yrs and have...
I am looking for a docter whi will give me methadone i have moved and the nearest clinic is 2hrs away if anyone can i can drive to charlotte nc if i need too ## Hello, Amy! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. However, if you were previously taking it from a clinic, then going to another one is your only option. It is illegal for private doctors to prescribe it for addiction/maintenance treatment. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone know of one that might be closer in that area?
Needing a dependable faster easier way to get my methadone and soma prescribed. Any helpful ideas welcomed ## Good luck with that one. I can't get a Tylenol never mind anything that might work. I have no choice but to suffer. That sucks when there is something that's will help but can't get a Dr to help. They always look at me like I want a million bucks. I just want relief. I don't care what it is. Sad, that's why they make pain meds. People that need them for pain can't get them but the Dr.s will give them to young adults with no prob. I have multiple back shoulders and leg issues and I get Motrin. What a joke. I cry in pain every day. I'm in RI and every Dr sucks here! ## Well if there is anyone out there that has a way to get soma and methadone and xanax ...
I live in Ca n I'm going to Idaho n I have my post dated methadone RX but I'll still b in Idaho when its time to get filled so will they fill it over there or do I have to cum back to Ca to fill it ## As long as the script is a legitimate prescription, & can be verified by your prescribing Dr, it can be filled anywhere. If for whatever reason you're unable to fill, I would suggest getting in contact w/the methadone clinics to help you till you get back home. Take your script w/ you & they would prolly be able to help in some way.
