used in the 70's when we had menstrual cramps. The side effects included a strange feeling in your body, loss of appetite, calmness, just wanted to sit and feel good, made everything in the world wonderful, Very addictive. ## I'm sorry, but from this description, I really have no idea what it may have been. These side effects are common to many medications, both old and new and the description really doesn't help narrow it down. It could have been anything from a narcotic to an early Benzodiazepine. Does anyone else remember what this was? ## this pill i believe was called daprazol although i may not be spelling it right but thats how we pronounced it. Many of us guys had girlfriends who had prescriptions for these pills for menstrual cramps in the 1970s. So of course we beg...

Was fine all day Saturday and earlier today however, the pain is back and highly intense again. I have taken my meds the way I'm supposed to. I have taken a hydrcodone anx 2 ibuprofen and my anibiotic 2 hrs ago and it is not working. I don't know how to stop this horrible pain. Any suggestions would be appreciated. ## Josh, A warm wet compress applied to the exterior facial region may stimulate trapped puss pocket to drain.Id highly suggest following up first thing tomorrow with your dental provider. Most will not prescribe anything stronger then hydrocodone for pain relief but they may upgrade your antibiotic type ...
2 REPLIES UpdatedWhat is a white oval uncoated pill that has I-2 on one side? Is it recommended for Gout? ## This is one of the many types of generic 200mg ibuprofen (name brand Motrin.) It is an over the counter dose of an anti-imflammatory NSAID used for mild to moderate pain. Side effects include stomach ache and/or bleed, headache, constipation. ## That is correct, this tablet contains 200mgs of Ibuprofen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that is used to treat pain, fever, and swelling. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach irritation, and increased risk of bleeding. Ref: Ibuprofen Information There are also brownish coated tablets with the same marking that also contain 200mgs of Ibuprofen. Is there anything else I can help with?

3 REPLIES UpdatedIs narcotic pain medicine becoming a thing of the past? Why are doctors across America phasing out the practice of prescribing effective pain medication? Will big pharmaceutical companies ever truly understand what it's like to face the other side of the coin? Lately there's been a musty scent in the air surrounding the use of prescribed narcotic pain medication. Many doctors appear to be running scared as the DEA scours through fields of medical records, inspecting prescribing pads like a mouse scavenges for food in a dimly lit cellar. Should the day come when doctors recommend Ibuprofen to a feeble man who's been involved in a terrible car accident (breaking several bones / requiring extensive surgery), is this doctor at risk of malpractice when there are more effective op...
1547 REPLIES UpdatedWhite round pill, top half says I, bottom says 135..... The back is blank. What is it? ## Hello, Chase! How are you? I'm sorry, but I don't see a listing in the NIH databases for a round tablet with this marking. Could you please double check and post back? I do see one for a tablet with a marking of IP 135 that is round, and white, which is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals, they list it as containing 200mgs of Ibuprofen, which is used to treat pain, fever, and headache. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, and stomach irritation. ## Allopurinol. Hopefully, because it was just given to my daughter by Walgreens, however, the pill she got from CVS last month looked larger. We've been looking...

4 REPLIES Updatedi need to find the difference the drug store mixed my perscription with regular 800mg and the ip466 and i needed to know if they messed up and gave me the wrong thing ## The only different is the company that manufactured it. They both contain 800mgs of Ibuprofen, the active ingredient in Motrin. So no, the pharmacy did not make a mistake. When it comes to generics, many pharmacies switch regularly, in order to keep the costs down for their customers, they will order from whichever company is offering the cheapest price, when they need to restock. This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and stomach irritation. 9 REPLIES UpdatedI've just accidentally taken in expired alaxan fr. today to relieve the pain of dysmenorrhea. What should i do..? The expiration is this month july 2016? ## Is Alaxan a good medicine for pain in any part of the body or muscle pain? ## Alaxan FR is listed as containing Ibuprofen, and Paracetamol, it is used to treat pain, fever, and swelling. Neither of these medications become dangerous upon expiration. Some medications that have been expired for awhile may lose some efficacy, so it is always best to double check with your doctor, or pharmacist, as in many instances, it would be better to obtain a new supply, rather than doubling up. However, no, taking one dose that just expired recently is not dangerous. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Ibuprofen, and Paracetamol as possib...
2 REPLIES UpdatedI am on methadone but have bad period pains. Does taking ibuprofen act with or against the methadone and will it affect the lab work that I have to submit? ## Unfortunately there is not much information out there on this topic, but I can tell you with absolute certainty from experience that you should not take ibuprofen or any NSAID with methadone ever. The problem is that it will knock the bonded methadone particles off of your blood proteins, thus raising the amount of freely available negative methadone in the blood stream, causing overdose risk for low dose users, and emptying your buffer for maintenance methadone users which will destabilize you making you feel withdrawal symptoms much sooner, and cause the buffer to have to rebuild over the course of a few days. If you need some o...
4 REPLIES UpdatedPrestodol -- this is a prescription drug I got in Mexico after dental work. It is made by Rayera (the logo is a capital R in a square circle). And under Prestodol it reads Clonixinato de Lisina. I am wondering if this is an antibiotic as that is what the dentist wanted me to take for the removal of a tooth. I live a long way from Mexico and can't go back to check. If you could help, I'd really appreciate it. ## According to spanish Wikipedia, Clonixinato de lisina is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), which is used for pain relief [1]. Available in doses of either 125 or 250 mg. It did not say anything about it being an antibiotic. Sounds like the dentist simply gave you these to help with pain. Do you have any other questions or information to add? Please post back...

3 REPLIES UpdatedThis pill is oval and only has a 51 imprint on it. It is white in the inside and has no other numbers but 51 no other imprint or anything. ## This may be a long shot, but there's a 200mg Ibuprofen tablet that's brownish-red and oblong with l2 on one side and blank on the other. If you hold it upside down it could appear similar to 5l, depending on the condition of the tablet? For verification, the National Drug Code is 49035-517 and it appears to be a product of Walmart. Perhaps you can contact your local pharmacy and/or poison control to see if this sounds like a possible match. Whereabouts did you get it from? ## How would a 5 look like a 2, even upside down? Seriously.... Type a "2", then turn your phone upside down and look at it. Does it look like a 5? ## David is c...
