The main problem with it is that it contained a tincture of Opium, which lead to severe abuse and addiction in some people. These dangers led to it being pulled from the market. I have IBS for many years now and recently been told I have Diverticulitis. Last 2 days I am suffering with Diarrhoea 8 n 9 times a day. Last night I took 2 Lofenoxal. Is it better in the morning, afternoon of nithg before bed. ## Hi Sal, The dosing instructions for this medication state the following: "Dexilant (Dexlansoprazole) comes as a delayed-release (long-acting) capsule to take by mouth. It is usually taken once a day. Dexlansoprazole may be taken with or without food, but it may provide more relief from after-meal symptoms if it is taken before a meal. Take dexlansoprazole at around the same time every day." It does not indicate a specific time of day to take the medication, so that decision is going to be up to you at your own convenience. Is Alinia an antibiotic? Can you still be having diarrhea off and on after being on it for 4 weeks, my doctor would like me to stay on it for up to 8 weeks for parasite. My 4 month old baby has diarrhea. The pediatrician has prescribed to take Erceflora 1 vial. What does that mean? Is this the whole vial at once? ## Hi Maine, sorry to hear about that, I know how nerve wracking it can be when a child at that young of an age has diarrhea. To answer your question, each vial should be a 5ml suspension. If that is the case then I am seeing a standard dose of 1-2 vials every 3-4 hours mixed in with another liquid such as milk, formula, or water. If you are still breastfeeding your baby you can mix it in with expelled breast milk. So yeah, 1 whole vial per dose is what is indicated. Is that in line with the doctor's instructions? I take Dexilant for GERD (hiatus hernia and acid reflux). Is there a risk in also taking Apple Cider Vinegar while on Dexilant? ## The information available for Apple Cider Vinegar so far does not prove its effectiveness for treating medical conditions. Ref: Apple Cider Vinegar Information That said, there is also the risk of it worsening your GERD, though some people do seem to take it, without ill effect. I tried it for GERD, and gastritis, for me, it just made the pain worse, and I have since decided to stick with using any type of vinegar for cooking, and cleaning. I go to a pain clinic and get urine tested. Yesterday my doc told me that oxycodone showed up on my drug test. I'm not prescribed oxycodone and my doctor discharged me for consumption of oxycodone that wasn't prescribed. My question is this.... I'm prescribed Lomotil for IBS; I know it is a schedule v drug BUT can it show up as a schedule 2 drug in urine tests (such as Demerol/oxycodone) as a false positive? I read that info on the internet and would like to know if anyone else has had the same issue? I’m seeking to purchase a product sold over the counter in Mexico which is called "Alevian Duo" or, if not sold in the USA, a product which has the same ingredients sold by a different name in the USA. ## Hmmm, if you aren't able to get it directly from Mexico, try searching for other products domestically by active ingredient: Looks like it contains Pinaverium Bromide and Dimethcone. Not sure what contains the exact same combination. Hi, I would like to know if anyone here who has Reflux / GERD / LPR tried Iberet Folic 500 b4? How does it feels after taking it? Does it induce the GeRD? I have tried many kinds of Vitamins, multivits however none of them seemed to help me at all. I just cannot take it, each time after taking it, i'll tend to feel difficulty of breathing, belching and very nauseated due to the GERD i suppose.. Which i could feel the sensations of something pushing up through the eosophagus n throat, and causing me difficulty of breathing. I tried Usana's multivits n chelated mineral.. which didnt do any good to myself, not even any kinds of Vitamin C which i bought from the pharmacies. ## is loperamida the same medication as lomotil? Used for Diarrhea ## NO! Lomotil contains the active ingredients Diphenyoxylate and Atropine. Loperamide is the active ingredient/generic name for Immodium, so they are completely different drugs. I was given a weeks sample and then a prescription for 60mg. The Dr. made a mistake on the prescription and put down 2xdaily which i fortunately caught before leaving the store. My concern is, a few days into the sample i developed a worsened dry cough, then caught what i thought was the flu, symptoms being respiratory, fever, severe aches in either joint or muscle. Now I am wondering if these are simply some side effects, i have read online it may well be. I take lomotil, 2.5 mg up to 4x a day for Crohn's disease and I have short bowel syndrome due to multiple GI surgeries. I know this med is a controlled substance, diphenoxylate atropine, and wonder at this dosage if I would get a positive drug test? ## How long does Lomotil stay in your system?
