I need this medicine and cannot find it. ## this site does not manufacture any medications and, while there has been a shortage reported, no reason has been given by the companies that do manufacture it. The shortage applies to the Triamterene and the companies involved originally reported that it would be bake on the market in May or June, but this clearly hasn't happened. Have you tried consulting your doctor for an alternative that you can use? A comparable medication would be Aldactazide, which contains Spironolactone and Hydrochlorothiazide.

I was prescribed Lisino Hctz 10-12.5 in the USA for High Blood Pressure. I bought Lisionopril 10mg and Hidroclorotiazida 25 mg in mexico where i was told to cut the Hidroclorotiazida tablet in half and it would be the same. Is this true? ## Technically speaking, that is correct - however, the combination of ingredients in the Lisino Hctz may be synthesized together in such a way that your body would process separate doses of the Lisinopril and Hydrochlorothiazide slightly differently. All in all, it *should* be fine. Be sure to get it cleared by a doctor or pharmacist (if you were not already told to cut it in half by one).

just tring to find out what they are, there white and ovel , v on front 58 38 on back ## Is there a chance the imprint could read V 58 81? This was the closest match I could find being white and oval with a V on the front and 58 | 81 on the back, separated by a score line. If this is your pill I found it to be Spironolactone (50 mg). Spironolactone is used primarily to treat heart failure, ascites in patients with liver disease, low-renin hypertension, hypokalemia and Conn's syndrome. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns about this being your pill, please post back and I will be happy to help you.
What type of pain relievers would I be able to take for the side effect(headaches) when taking Lisinop Hctz for my hypertnsion? ## You may want to check with your doctor, to be on the safe side, before taking anything, but I know when I was taking those and even continuing now, with my other blood pressure medications, my doctor has instructed me to only use Acetaminophen/Tylenol. I also checked the interactions database and there is nothing listed that it can cause a problem, when used with the Lisinopril-HCTZ. In most cases, when you have hypertension, they want you to stay away from the NSAIDs, such as Ibuprofen and Naproxen, because they can actually cause fluid retention, which can lead to other medical issues, such as Congestive Heart Failure. Are there any other questions?

I heard triamtere was no longer being made. Is this so? I take triamterene 37.5/25. Is this still available? Works well for me. ## It works well for me too. My pharmacist just told me the same thing and I cannot find out why. ## There had been an unexplained shortage of this medication reported to the FDA and it was reported by all current manufacturers. They did estimate that it would start being available, again, by the end of April, but this seems not to have happened. The only thing that I can suggest would be talking to your doctor about using an alternative medication. One that is very similar is Aldactazide, which contains Spironolactone and Hydrochlorothiazide: Are there any other questions or comments? ## I have Bi-polar disorder and Major Depressive Disorder - Spironolactone d...

Is it to dangerour to be taking DIOVAN 320 MG Tablets and IC HYDROCHLOROTHIaZIDE ? Do you think that, the high dosage of medication will destroy someone's kidney's, Liver , etc. over the long run? ## Diovan contains the active ingredient Valsartan, it is an ARB that is commonly used to help control high blood pressure and treat cardiac conditions. Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that is used to treat similar conditions, as well as edema. There are no interactions listed between using them together, but you may want to check with your doctor or pharmacist to be certain. As to possible organ damage, that is always a risk o...
1. List the therapeutic and pharmacologic classification for each of the top three prescribed diuretics. 2. For each diuretic classification list one indication for use, one contraindication, and one priority nursing assessment. ## I can appreciate the homework assignment here. I wasn't able to answer both your questions to the fullest extent, but hopefully this helps point you in the right direction. Based on my research, the top three prescribed diuretics are as follows: 1).
