Why is there a shortage of this pill? My pharmacy is out of it and hasn't had it for a week? I need this medicine and cannot find it.

this site does not manufacture any medications and, while there has been a shortage reported, no reason has been given by the companies that do manufacture it.
The shortage applies to the Triamterene and the companies involved originally reported that it would be bake on the market in May or June, but this clearly hasn't happened.
Have you tried consulting your doctor for an alternative that you can use?
A comparable medication would be Aldactazide, which contains Spironolactone and Hydrochlorothiazide.
