I have been taking lisinopril for about a year with an annoying cough the whole time. Then suddenly last week developed a cough from hell, all day, and all night, no sleep, etc. Went to the doctor and they said it was the lisinopril and changed the perscription. When I was in line to pick it up the man in front of me was there for the same reason. Is there a bad batch running around? ## I doubt it is due to a bad batch, it is actually a very common side effect of this medication. For some people it is very mild and wears off after a few weeks, but for others, it continues or worsens and they have to switch medications. In all honesty, you should have talked to your doctor about the cough and something should have been done about it some time long before this. Are there any other questio...

Prescribed hydrochlorothiazide 12.5mg for hypertension. Took for 1st 3 months with no problems outside of frequent urination which is to be expected. It has been working to lower my good pressure, so I was given another 3 month prescription. A week after I begin this batch, I started to suffer from all sorts of illnesses. First it was a stuffy nose, slightly sore throat (lasted approx. 3 days), & red itchy eyes. This lasted week, then stuffy nose turned to runny nose & it felt like something was running down back of throat. This lasted for about a 1-1/2 weeks, but midway through had shortness of breathe & felt like something was sitting on my chest at night. Then everything but shortness of breathe subsided, but I then developed a terrible cough with a squeak at the end and ...

As soon as I was put on Bisoprolol, I complained of breathlessness and feeling as if my lungs no longer worked automatically. I complained that I felt like a drunk zombie, that Bisoprolol had turned me into an old man overnight. Thing is, I stopped taking any beta blockers eight months ago, but all the symptoms that started from the day I took Bisoprolol remain to this day, I an so exhausted that I can only get out of bed every other day, my lung oxygen content has gone down to 85% when asleep, my heart rate is variable for no reason. But nobody in the medical profession will acknowledge that Beta Blockers have residual side effects and so say I have anxiety, which I certainly am unaware of. In view of the fact that Beta Blockers effect receptors of the Autonomic Nervous System, and all...

a leveler for blood pressure ## Enalapril is an ACE inhibitor that is used to help lower blood pressure, certain cardiac conditions, and to improve heart function. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. However, there is no such thing as a blood pressure leveler. Your blood pressure will never hit one steady number, and stay there. It is always going to fluctuate, depending on what you've eaten, your activity levels, other medications you take, and etc. How is it working for you?

I forgot I had taken my meds in the A.M. and took another dose about 3 hours later. I haven't felt too good since. Should I be concerned or will time take care of it? ## Doubling up could cause you to experience more side effects, such as low blood sugar, low blood pressure, nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and diarrhea, according to FDA reports. However, in most cases, doing so just once isn't dangerous, but it is always wise to double check with your doctor, or pharmacist. How are you doing? Did you experience any adverse effects?

My mom is 94. She was put on bisoprolol in march. Recently she has begun to experience frequent urination going most of the day. It has increased within the past week especially. Anyone else have this problem? ## That is normal, frequent urination is listed by the FDA as being a side effect of most blood pressure and cardiac medications. You may also experience dizziness, headache and hypotension. How much fluid does she take in each day? Is she on any other medications? ## I am 65 and since starting bisoprolol/hctz 10/6.25mg I have to urinate 5 or 6 times during the night. It is horrible. I am suffering from stage lV CHF and taking Coreg as well as 300 mg.Hawthorne daily. I worry about negative consequences of Coreg as I believe the Hawthorne smothers the negative effects. Anyone else taking a combination of Coreg & Hawthorn ? ## Is Coreg the only medication you take for your CHF? Aren't you on a diuretic? The Carvedilol in Coreg can help with cardiac function and lower blood pressure, but it doesn't remove the fluid that's associated with CHF. Learn more Coreg details here.
