I've been taking 2x 50mg Losartan for 8 weeks and am experiencing quite severe pain in my hands and feet, especially during the night and early morning. Is there an alternative to Losartan which doesn't cause these nasty side effects?

My wife has been taking S Amlong 2.5 mg twice a day for the last 3-4 years. Can she take Amlodipine 2.5 mg instead of S Amlong 2.5 mg? Does it make a difference or is it one and the same medicine? I'm 34 year old male suffering for hairloss & thinning. Want to start treatment with I've planned to start some non "DHTInhibitor" treatment for my Norwood 4/5 & thinning hairs with Minoxidil 5% (topical solution) & Ketoconazole-2 % based shampoo but got too confused on vitamins and supplements. It is the only blue and white capsule my husband takes. Amlodipine 5 mg or Asomax 2.5 mg/5 mg tablets have been prescribed to control hypertension my wife has. Both these tablets cause swelling of ankles and feet. Do they also cause dizziness? I take lisinopril twice daily (once at breakfast and once 12 hours later). You are not supposed to eat foods with lots of potassium while taking lisinopril, but how long can you safely wait AFTER taking the pill to safely eat high-potassium foods? I take metoprolol at the same time, and it must be taken with food. ## There is no safe time frame that can be quoted to you. It is just best to avoid them, as much as possible, and see your doctor regularly, so they can do blood work to check your levels, when appropriate, according to FDA directives. Terrible angina on minor exertion. Legs need cat scan for vascular blockage. Isosorbide 30mg helps angina for 12-15 hours then I might need a small nitro tablet. Also the isosorbide has made my blood pressure perfect. This after a four year battle just taking 25 mg metropolol twice a day a 50 mg of losartan once. My question, do I need to take the losartan and metropolol anymore? I also take plavix. You should know that my problems started four years ago when a drugstore BP machine indicated my BP was high. I start a new job that is very phsical and cold. I have been advised to use the epsom salt and soak in a tub of water for 15 minutes. i am taking 20mg of lisnopril once a day, will I be O.K. ## hey, i tried this last year for arthritis, and my blood pressure shot up to dangerous levels...also causes dehdyration, its great for people with normal blood pressure, but i would look for an alternative as salts and blood pressure dont mix. try some oils or muscle rubs. ## It really depends on how much you use, and if your doctor approves. My usual medication is Verahexzal SR240mg, Migroben 160mg. These have been added to reduce my blood pressure * Puresis 20mg, * Plenish K, * Esperide and this last week Biliocor 5mg. I am on Clonidine for anxiety and other reasons. I take 0.1mg to 0.2mg at a time. Today I was watching my grandkids when I took 0.2mg around 3:30 - 4:00.
