Coreg / Hawthorn

I am suffering from stage lV CHF and taking Coreg as well as 300 mg.Hawthorne daily. I worry about negative consequences of Coreg as I believe the Hawthorne smothers the negative effects. Anyone else taking a combination of Coreg & Hawthorn ?

Is Coreg the only medication you take for your CHF?

Aren't you on a diuretic?

The Carvedilol in Coreg can help with cardiac function and lower blood pressure, but it doesn't remove the fluid that's associated with CHF.

Hawthorn extract has been shown to improve the life span and cardiac function of CHF patients, in some trials, but I have heard nothing about it inhibiting the bad side effects of any medication.

Yes, I take carvedolol and drank hawthorn tea and my heart went up in the 90's right after . Why is that?
