Will Lisinopril compromise my immune system? ## No, Lisinopril is an ACE inhibitor that's commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. can i eat a red pomelo if i am taking metoprolol ## Hi deanna, From what I could gather, there doesn't appear to be any sort of food interaction between Metoprolol and citrus-type fruits, such as pomelo/grapefruit. Grapefruit is a common interaction with many medications, so it was definitely wise of you to double check that first. NOTE: the bioavailability of metoprolol may be enhanced by food (in general), so your doctor may instruct you to take metoprolol at the same time each day, preferably with or immediately following meals. I hope this info helps!
