What is this pill, people keep telling me it's catapres,I don't believe it is. ## The imprint on the generic Catapres tablet that meets this description is actually LI 65, I separated it out to try to show that it's supposed to be a capital i, not a numeral 1. I had a mild heart attack in November 2005. It was corrected with a single stent to LDA. I was prescribed Lipitor 20mg (never had high cholesterol Ramipril Details Are there any other comments or questions? ## Maybe this will help: I had an NSTEMI in August and Ramipril is part of my post-hospital regime. (Also diuretics, aspirin etc. and beta blockers. Seven pills a day!) I take Ramipril 2.5mg once a day. It is not only for blood pressure: the effect on that may be minimal. According to my doc, beta blockers make more of a difference to that. However, Ramipril also 'smooths out' the heart pumping action by 'softening' the blood vessels so they offer less resistance to each heartbeat. Thus they take some of the stress off the heart and help to prevent a further 'even...
AMLOD/BENAZP CAP 5-40MG MANUFACTURER DR REDDY -DIST PICTURE OF PILL, WHAT COLOR? ## I don't have a picture to post for you, due to copyright reasons, but it is described as being a capsule that is brown and white, the RDY should be on the brown half and the 587 on the white half and, from the images in the databases, the white actually appears to be more of an off-white, but I am not sure if that is just due to the camera, or possibly the medication inside the capsule itself. Learn more Lotrel details here. Does this match the ones you have?
Hi mother was prescribed this last month while hospitalized with back pain. She was also prescribed Metoprolol, to take along with it. Radiologist believed to see a small tear in her aorta, but the surgeon disagreed. So she stopped taking her reg. blood pressure medicine. She was told to start taking these meds instead. She said her heart feels like it's racing from time to time. Would you have any input?? ## There are two possibilities that might explain it. One is that it could be due to a rebound effect from stopping her other medications and switching to this one. Abruptly stopping such medications can cause that and it can result in elevated blood pressure and heart rate. Learn more Metoprolol details here. The other option is that it may be a side effect of the Metoprolol itse...

How long before my meds start to work on 40g propranolol 3 times aday for my high blood pressure and do they really bring your blood pressure down all I've felt is light headed and tingly feeling in my fingers ## Ps been on them for 1 week so far and blood pressure still same plus all my blood tests ECG as come back normal do I have to just give it time ## Daisy, have you seen any improvement yet? It can take about a month for these types of medications to reach their full effect in the body. If after that time, you don't see a result, then you most likely need to try a different medication. Learn more Propranolol details here.
I have osteo arthritis in the hip and also take Felodur er 5mg and perindopril 5mg for blood pressure. What can I take for osteo in my hip? Thanks ## A lot of people have had good results supplementing MSM (methylsulfonylmethane) for joint-pain and arthritis. The link below has information on the efficacy of MSM against osteoarthritis, but I'm sure it works differently for everyone: ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16309928 Have you considered looking into the use of essential oils?
I JUST STARTED THE DRUG CHLORTHALID 25 MG. TODAY. I HAVE NOT NOTICED ANY INCREASE IN MY URINE OUTPUT. IS IT BECAUSE OF THE LOW DOSAGE? WOULD AN INCREASE IN THE DOSAGE HELP? ## No, you shouldn't arbitrarily increase the dosage of any medication on your own, it isn't safe to do so. And though this is a diuretic and will have a small immediate effect, like any medication, it will take awhile to reach its full effect in your body, so one day isn't really enough to judge its efficacy on. Learn more Chlorthalidone details here. If it's working for you, you'll know in a few days and, if not, then please let the prescribing doctor know. What are you taking it to treat? ## WELL, FIRST OF ALL, I SAID IT WAS 25 MG, AND I ONLY TAKE 1/2 OF A PILL, SO I'M TAKING 12 1/2 MG. ONC...
im taking apo atennol 50mg beta blocker but stil thesame my bp 160/90,but i can't use otheres brand bcoz im getting palpitation,my cholesterol is 191 my LDL,im not taking treatment for cholesterol bcoz its to expensive ## What about trying something other than a beta blocker? There are other types of blood pressure medications on the market. I had similar type issues with the regular, straight beta blockers and the palpitations could just be due to your blood pressure being so high. You might want to check and see if Labetalol is available up there, it really helped me a lot when I had problems with the other medications and it stopped the palpitations for me, as well. Learn more Labetalol details here.
I was for 3 years on different medications that did not reduvce my blood pressure at all, a couple of times my BP was 240/137. Now for last year I am on Bystolic 10mg and Amturnide 250/10/25, my blood presuure is down to 120/80 , honestly its just amazing and unheard of at least for me ## Awesome! I'm very glad you finally found medications that work for you. Eventually, you might find yourself not needing all of them and cutting down on them. That's what happened to me, I was running very high and we had to use a crazy combo of drugs to bring it down, but once we got it down, it started to go too low and we gradually had to cut out some drugs and switch some others, so I am finally at the point were I am only taking two. It's always possible that this could change again, bu...
