I am a 60 year old male, i am taking losartan 50mg pot. if i take it at 9 am can it affect my ability to get an erection at 11 am. Hi mother was prescribed this last month while hospitalized with back pain. She was also prescribed Metoprolol, to take along with it. Radiologist believed to see a small tear in her aorta, but the surgeon disagreed. So she stopped taking her reg. blood pressure medicine. She was told to start taking these meds instead. I am aged 60 years, suffering from diabetes for the last 16 years, depending on insulin since then, also diagnosed with high BP about seven years back. it is a small pink/peachish round tablet that is scored. the letters cc are in a box above the score line and the number 108 below the score line. the other side is blank ## I haven't found a definitive source to confirm this, but someone else who had this particular pill identified it as Hydrochlorothiazide 50 mg. im taking apo atennol 50mg beta blocker but stil thesame my bp 160/90,but i can't use otheres brand bcoz im getting palpitation,my cholesterol is 191 my LDL,im not taking treatment for cholesterol bcoz its to expensive ## What about trying something other than a beta blocker? There are other types of blood pressure medications on the market. I had similar type issues with the regular, straight beta blockers and the palpitations could just be due to your blood pressure being so high. You might want to check and see if Labetalol is available up there, it really helped me a lot when I had problems with the other medications and it stopped the palpitations for me, as well. I was for 3 years on different medications that did not reduvce my blood pressure at all, a couple of times my BP was 240/137. Now for last year I am on Bystolic 10mg and Amturnide 250/10/25, my blood presuure is down to 120/80 , honestly its just amazing and unheard of at least for me ## Awesome!
