Been taking Bystolic for three weeks, good BP results; however diarrhea has been an issue. Anyone else with this side effect and will it go away as my body adjusts to the new med. ## Bystolic contains the active ingredient Nebivolol, which is a beta blocker and yes, it can cause diarrhea in some people, but that should ease as your body adjusts to the medication. However, if it it doesn't, or if it become worse, you should contact your doctor. Are there any other questions? ## Thanks for replying. How long wiill it take to adjust to this med. Sorry if I seem ignorant on this issue. ## Jackie, it usually takes between 4 to 6 weeks and the way you can usually tell is that will be the time when the side effects also seem to be at their worst. It's the same time the medication takes...

I currently take Losartan in the AM. Within two hours I have severe back pain which wears off in about five hours. Is there any difference in these to metoprolol 50 mg pills? I am prescribed C74 and my mother is prescribed M32. ## Hi, Strawberry! How are you? Your doctor doesn't actually prescribe you any specific tablet with a certain marking. They prescribe the medication and dosage, the tablet you actually when you get it filled by your pharmacy depends on which one they have in stock, because it can vary depending on what company was offering the cheapest price, when they re-ordered from their distributor. Both the tablet that you've received with the C 74 marking on it and the M32 tablet that your mother received from her pharmacy contain 50mgs of Metoprolol, they are just manufactured by different companies. This is very common when a medication is available as a generic. It creates so...

The bottle from last month for my b.pressure medication lists the name as Metoprol but the bottle I just picked for this month lists the name Metoprolol and the pills aren't the same. I switched to a new pharmacy this month and I thought that might be the reason the pills are different. I am not able to go home now and compare the pills by searching for the description. I have one in my daily medication box and I did search it and it came back as a generic version of Lopressor. I feel my pulse is racing and that my B.P. is going up and I know I NEED to take it now. Is Lopressor in both of the medications I listed above? ## Lopressor is just a brand name for Metoprolol, so yes, these medications are all the same. I am a 69 year old male who experienced upper gastric pain and was prescribed Mucosta t.i.d. times 7 days. After the very first dose of 1 tablet I began serious side effects: hypertension, constipation, inability to concentrate and panic attacks related to my inability to stop the effect of the drug. Depression and inability to experience happiness, or pleasure. I suspect my hypersensitivity may be related to the fact that I have genetically evolved essential tremor for which I have taken Corgard/Nadalol 40 mg for the past 20 years. WHAT IS THE HALF LIFE of Mucosta? I was given a 40 mg dose of Pantoloc which I also stopped taking after the first pill. I switched back to Omeprazole 20 mg which I took before with no problems and it seems to have ended the gastric pain.
