Yesterday, I was prescribed hydroxyzine/Atarax, a drug sometimes used as an anticholinergergic (antihistamine) medicine but can also used for fast-acting relief of panic attacks. I am on currently prescribed Klonopin 2mg 3x a day for generalized anxiety and debilitating panic attacks, along with Fetzima, a SNRI that I recently started a week and 3 days ago. Prior to that, I was on Pristiq for 3 months and that did nothing for my depression but make it worse, and before that I was on Effexor XR, which for a decade because it was the only anti-depressant that didn't cause terrible side-effects and weight gain. Hi im 17 years old. I suffer from very bad anxiety, panic, and social anxiety. Its horrible.. Im not going to school, i cant even enjoy something like getting my nails done without feeling anxious. I've tried so many doctors but they only prescribe Prozac Zoloft ect. Any doctors in New York that will prescribe Xanax or Clonopin? Please help! I took 2 1mg xanex a week ago, could possibly get tested this coming Wednesday, should I be worried? ## If you last took it a week ago (last monday) and your test is this coming Wednesday then you should be in the clear. Xanax has a half life of under 12 hours, so if you factor that in and multiply it to be completely eliminated from the body then you're looking at under a week. My doctor recently took me off Klonopin cold turkey because I was in a car wreck and have to have pain meds and he can't prescribe both so I need to find a doctor asap that will prescribe Klonopin or an even stronger benzo. I've been on benzodiazepines since I was 16 years old and quitting cold turkey could kill me and I need to find a doctor that will prescribe Klonopin because I can't afford a psychiatrist and have no insurance. My prescription of Buspirone HCL 15 mg tablets, says to take 1 tablet 3 times a day. Does that mean take 45 mg (the whole bar) a day or 5 mg (15 mg a day)? ## Hi Chase, From my own interpretation of your prescription, I'm led to assume that it means you would be taking three 15mg tablets a day (totaling 45mg after your last dose). That translates to dosing every 8 hours within a 24hr period. If the instructions still don't make sense, I'd encourage you to contact your prescribing doctor and/or the local pharmacy who dispensed this medication just to be on the safe side. I have done a lot of reading on the new United States 2013 Xanax laws. There aren't any? You can still obtain up to a 6 month supply of any schedule IV (4) medicine which includes Xanax. Some States have limited MD's to writing for a 30 day supply even forcing you to see a Specialist and putting you on a 'performance plan'. Yea I've got some fake Xanax bars here. X ANA X and a 2 on the other side. No bitter Xanax taste and the 2 is off.. Hi, I was recently enrolled in a methadone clinic in Somerville, NJ. (I have medicaid). However I weaned myself off because it was not helping with anxiety at all and we were not allowed to take any benzos. It got to the point where my anxiety and panic attacks took over toooooo much of my life. I then weaned myself off. Can you overdose on benzo's? Can't you take a high dose of xanax and be really impaired up but never od? It gets dangerous when you mix alcohol and benzo's. NEVER MIX ALCOHOL AND BENZOS. ## I'm sorry, but that is not correct. Benzodiazepines, such as Alprazolam can cause depression of the central nervous system and taking that many could result in heart and lung failure, which could be fatal, if someone didn't receive supportive medical treatment in time.
