One brand you can read about to learn about this drug is Augmentin. ## Took this antibiotic for the first time today (amox TR-K CLV) I immediately got a terrible bitter taste in my mouth, followed by severe vomitting. Is this normal? ## Rishel, that is not normal, it sounds to me like you may be having a reaction to it, or you may be on too strong of a dose. I suggest calling your doctor, before you take any more and speaking to them about it. ## My ear is clogged up - as is my chest - do you think this drug would help me? ## I started taking this drug on 3/26/08. I am supposed to take it twice daily for ten days. I stopped after five days because of the side effects....

The pill is a capsule and is dark purple on one side and like a light blue or teal on the other. It has a c on the side that is purple and 300 on the side that is teal/blue. The bottle that I found the pill in was filled in october of 2010.The bottle also says that it is cefdinir generic for omnicef but I am unable to find a pill picture that is the exact match for this pill so I am assuming that it is not in the right bottle. It is at my mother inlaws house and she has a bad habit of placing the wrong pills in the wrong container so I am trying to figure out what this pill is and if it is in the proper bottle. Thanks for any help that is offered. ## No, that is the correct identification, though I don't have a picture to post for you, due to copyright reasons. Cefdinir is a generic...

My mixed breed pomerian 10 kg dog has been prescribed Taxim 250mg IM daily. Is this drug safe for veterinary use? ## I will be honest and tell you that I am not familiar with the use of medications in animals. I am not even sure if the canine medication is the same as that used in humans. The human medication Taxim contains the active ingredient Cefotaxime and is an antibiotic used to treat infections. The regular side effects can include: irritation at the injection site, nausea and diarrhea, though I am not sure how it will affect a dog. Have you tried asking your veterinarian for more information?

My cat was on antibiotics & they were in a small prescription bottle similar to my medication. For 2 days I accidentally gave it to him mistakenly (1 dose per day). Could it kill him? ## Have you contacted your veterinarian? I am not really certain of the effect it would have on an animal, I'm really only familiar with the use of medications in humans. However, cats are very small and generally require lower doses of anything. Some substances that can be safely used in humans or dogs are completely toxic to them. And since this is a diuretic, it could make him severely dehydrated.

Is this a antibiotic for wound? ## This medication is an antibacterial combination that is used in the treatment of a wide variety of bacterial infections, wounds included. You can view a detailed description of the drug, by clicking on the link below... Keep in mind though that this drug has a TON of possible undesirable side effects (there's a lot of users on here that are complaining about how bad the side effects are). Not worth it in my opinion unless you really really need it! ## This drug was prescribed to me after heavy bleeding after an operation was done by a surgeon in an other hospital. I presume it was given to me to help prevent an infection. I did not feel any side effects from this drug. I was also given a week supply of antibiotics by my own Doctor. This was a very ...

i would like to make an order these are good tablets ## Sorry, but medschat.com is an information-only site. this site does not manufacture, nor sell any medications or products. I'm pretty sure the medication you want is only available by prescription. Have you checked with any pharmacies in your area for something similar? More than likely if you have a condition or infection that requires an antibiotic as strong as Penicillin, you should make an appointment with your doctor anyways and he should be able to prescribe it to you.

Is Zithromax efective to treat tooth infection? ## Generic Zithromax is used to treat many different types of infections caused by bacteria, such as respiratory infections, skin infections, ear infections, and sexually transmitted diseases. Yes, it can be used on infections in the oral cavity also. NOTE: An antibiotic would control the spread of infection, but may or may not treat the cause of the infection (the cause of the infection might require treatment from your doctor). My advice is if you are still in doubt after using Zithromax, I would suggest contacting your doctor. To view more information about this drug, please click on the link below... what is this condition & how is it treated? ## Enterococci are facultative anaerobic organisms, i.e., they are capable of cellular respiration in both oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor environments. Infections caused by Enterococcus include urinary tract infections, bacteremia, bacterial endocarditis, diverticulitis, and meningitis. Sensitive strains of these bacteria can be treated with ampicillin and vancomycin. This bacteria has a high resistance to the common antibiotics as well as antimicrobial agents; so be sure to look into stronger medications if needed. Other than antibiotics, I would suggest a diet comprised of mostly fresh, raw, ripe, organic fruits and vegetables as they have properties that aid to fight off things of this nature as well as a host of other benefits that may in...

I've been taking sulfamethoxazole/tmp ds tab for seven days and the nausea, chills, shakes, hot feeling, increased heart rate, stomach upset and pain, dizziness, diarrhea and vertigo have gotten worse each day. I was told by dr to stop taking it but prescribed another antibiotic to start. I am afraid to take the new med. I feel like I'm dying and can't go through this again. What are my options? I'm being treated for a bladder infection. ## Some of those are rare side effects to the medication, which is a generic for Bactrim and your doctor was correct in telling you to stop taking it. However, all medications carry the risk of side effects and if you have an infection, your risks are far greater if you don't have it properly treated, because it could cause serious hea...

Does she need to go the dr or just need benedryl? ## i suggest a dermatolist, also if you live where there are deer ticks i check for lyme diease, esp. if she s running a fever ## A rash could indicate the beginnings of a severe skin reaction to this drug. If you have not already done this, notify the prescribing physician asap. Good luck and please let us know what ends up happening... ## What about burnning sensations on my legs, n my face .

I am prone to yeast infections from antibiotic's will nitrofur mac 100mg give me one? ## It is always possible for any antibiotic to cause a yeast infection, because they actually don't discriminate on the type of bacteria they kill, so they can eliminated good bacteria, as well as the bad. However, there is really no way to say, whether or not it will cause one to any given person, because everyone's body reacts differently to any given medication. Have you discussed your concerns with your doctor? I've only had this happen once, from Penicillin, which I was taking for a dental infection, but to be honest, if I had to take it, again, I would more than likely purchase something such as Monistat, at the same time I picked up the Penicillin prescription and keep it on hand...
