Enterococci are facultative anaerobic organisms, i.e., they are capable of cellular respiration in both oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor environments.
Infections caused by Enterococcus include urinary tract infections, bacteremia, bacterial endocarditis, diverticulitis, and meningitis. Sensitive strains of these bacteria can be treated with ampicillin and vancomycin.
This bacteria has a high resistance to the common antibiotics as well as antimicrobial agents; so be sure to look into stronger medications if needed.
Other than antibiotics, I would suggest a diet comprised of mostly fresh, raw, ripe, organic fruits and vegetables as they have properties that aid to fight off things of this nature as well as a host of other benefits that may indirectly help. Hope this info helps!
