My daughter is 14 months I took her to patient first an they said she has pneumonia they gave her amoxicillin 400mg/5ml and takes 3/4 tsp 3times a day for 10 days I feel that is very high for a 14 month when I take 500mg I don't know if I shoud give it to her or just wait an see what the doctor does ## Hi, Nicole! I have stuffed sinus .. cough and are tired/weak. I have amox/K Clav 500-125 .. would it be helpful towards these symptoms?? A cold is a viral infection, so it would do no good. ## @Becky Burnside, BL is correct, the Amoxicillin will not be effective for the cold. If I can recommend anything, it would be to intake as many fruits/vegetables as possible (especially citrus fruits due to their high vitamin C content!). Also, water with real lemon juice is a really easy way to build your immune system and should definitely help to fight off the cold sooner. They start to lose potency after the expiration date and that creates the risk of developing antibiotic resistant bacteria. Just wondering because "vomiting" is really the only side effect listed under this medication that I find comes close to "coughing". On the other hand, it's possible that you may be experiencing an allergic reaction. I understand why you're asking, many people are never really told why this is necessary. In the case of some heart conditions, a possible poke from one of the dentists implements creates the risk of your developing an infection which could grow into something bigger that sets into one or more heart valves. can i take calcium 600mg, 300 mg magnesium with 625mg amoxicillin ## Calcium can sometimes affect the absorption of certain antibiotics. I haven't been able to find anything specific on Amoxicillin, but I'd suggest separating them by several hours to be safe and you should also double check this with your doctor or pharmacist, just in case I'm on the wrong track. Hello I got prescription from my dentist to treat gum problems with Amoxicillin 500mm capsules. Nothing wrong but I was so surprised to se in medicine so many colours. All colour are for food : E110, E127,E131,E71,E172 all approved by EU and some by US. My questions is: IS IT POSIBLE TO FIND SIMILAR PRODUCT WITHAUT THIC COLOURS. I went to a doctor complaining about a never ending flu so he recommended Betamox and other medicines after 2 days i developed a rash on my genitals. What happened? I took this med for 2 days and stopped it. I had broken out with a very red rash on my leg and didn't get any new meds for my cold. Is there a problem stopping? ## Sorry to hear about your experience with Amoxicillin. Rashes seem to be a common side effect (or allergy) with these types of medications, but I would definitely still urge you to contact your doctor as soon as possible to let him know what's going on. There's only one potential problem I see with stopping an antibiotic before your treatment is up; and that is the development of "drug resistant bacteria", if the infection wasn't wiped out completely from the start. Your doctor may end up putting you on something stronger if that happens to be the case, but then again I'd probably stop taking it too...

I have been using the medication for 5 days now to treat sinus infection and have developed a severe pain that starts in the back right side of my head when I cough. It is a extremely sharp pain.
