Does This Med Act Like Steroids?

I am on day 5 of 7 of amox tr-k clv 875-125 mg tabs for a uti. After day 2 I am acting as if I am on steroids. Rotor tilled and planted two gardens, planted 4-flats of flowers, 6-rosebushes cut lots of grass. Was not even achy or had sore muscles. Stayed up half the nite camping out.
Can't sleep at nite, talk non stop and not very hungry. This was all days 2-5. If it wasn't for the no sleep I'm getting a heck of a lot done.
Steroids?

Hi Cheryl,

I find it odd that Amoxicillin is effecting you in that way, when it's potential side effects are actually quite the opposite:

excessive tiredness
lack of energy

At least it's safe to say that the medication is having much more of a positive effect on you than many other users I've read reviews from. There's certainly not steroids in it, but I am curious to know if anyone else here has ever felt a surge of energy after taking antibiotics (specifically this one)?
