Quitting Amox K Clav 875

I took this med for 2 days and stopped it. I had broken out with a very red rash on my leg and didn't get any new meds for my cold. Is there a problem stopping?

Sorry to hear about your experience with Amoxicillin. Rashes seem to be a common side effect (or allergy) with these types of medications, but I would definitely still urge you to contact your doctor as soon as possible to let him know what's going on. There's only one potential problem I see with stopping an antibiotic before your treatment is up; and that is the development of "drug resistant bacteria", if the infection wasn't wiped out completely from the start.

Your doctor may end up putting you on something stronger if that happens to be the case, but then again I'd probably stop taking it too if I ever broke out with rashes.
