Adderall Backorder (Page 28)

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

There is no real danger when stopping adderall cold turkey. Its NOT like opiates or benzos where you go into severe withdrawl. I overtake my add script (3-30mg IR daily) by 1 or sometimes 2 tabs which obviously leaves me short every month, provided i cant get it sooner, which is rarely an issue around here (Boston)... but my point is, ive gone from 5-30mg tabs a day, for 15 days straight, and then to nothing at all, and the only significant withdrawal i ever have is minor depression along with social anxiety. And i would take that over detoxing from any opiate, any day.

yeah ..you are effected no differently than a person without a suppressed immune system . its a class II controlled substance the withdrawl time would be shortlived since the drug has an accute MOA and halflife by the way ..they shown no correlation of immune suppression contraindicate the absorption of of the product so im very curious where i can find the resources to back up your claim that your "doctor" indicated.

Yes NJ is crazy, my pharmacy of 15 years can't get adderall unless it's Pink 30s which are causing me to go bat s*** crazy.... Can't function nor sleep, very aggressive, extremely angry... Been on Adderall for 25 years, never ever had this issue. I was one of the subjects before Adderall was FDA approved. When I can get it at a pharmacy they're crap or on back order. I am going to confirm with an attorney about a tort civil suit before I go nuts.... Hey FDA could you F******g do something?

What is with the pink round 30mg no time release pills I have add and they LITTERALLY have no effect what so ever on working... I can understand the government stepping in to cut some drugs like oxycodone but Adderall legitimately helps people who can't function. I don't feel high from it. I feel at ease, less stress, more focus and I can be productive...

Las Vegas, NV has been out of all Adderall IR and XR since September 8, 2016. I tried CVS on Tropicana and Jones, Precision Specialty Pharmacy on Jones and Edna, and a few more smaller pharmacies and CVS's on the east side of town with no luck. Unfortunately in Nevada if your RX for Adderall is more than 2 weeks past the date it was written is becomes invalid, unless it is in the hands of a pharmacy.

Getting a new prescription from my doctor isn't the problem. Finding a place to fill the prescription that accepts Medicaid has been impossible the past 2 weeks. I'm going to lose my second job because I cannot sit still or focus, which is necessary as a bookkeeper. I'm so screwed, if anyone in the Las Vegas, Nevada area knows of a pharmacy that has the 20mg IR Adderall and accepts Medicaid, please let me know! Also, I know I could check Costco, but in California I remember they did not accept Medicaid and my prescription cost me $90, which I don't have right now because I have not been able to work my 2nd job since running out of Adderall 2 weeks ago. I'm not sure if Costco in Nevada is any different.

Well first of all the shortages have been an issue around this time of year for a very long time. The DEA and Federal regulations only allow so much quantity of the chemical I'm guessing it's the dextro amphetamine and they decide on the forecasted allotment of that chemical and distribute it to each manufacturer evenly but it's never enough this time of year.
Question , are you taking 5mg because you are low on pills or is that the normal dosing you are actually taking regularly because if it's the latter you may want to ask for the 5 mg or 10mg tablets. It's the right thing to do and if all of us on any adhd meds would all do the same thing and take a little less mg it just might help cut back on such a huge shortage if that makes any sense .
It would also help if pharmacies quit messing with changing manufacturers all the freaking time because then I could cut down to 20 mg pills 2x a day instead of 30mg 2x a day. The only reason I had to up dosage to 30mg tablets was after switching my mom and I to the tablets made by Barr , after we had been taking Sandoz brand.
We have narcolepsy and add.
I would ask why a psychiatrist is treating you for narcolepsy but I can't really do that since I have to see a pediatrician to treat me for it lol. Which my pharmacy manager gave me a lot of crap about it

I just had to settle for this CVS generic they had imprint U30 orange round Aero something. Makes me feel like a zombie. Can't concentrate. Just makes me feel like crap.

I've been diagnosed with interstitial cystitis for about 2 years. I have to live with a series of excruciating symptoms. I've tried many medications and home remedies to relieve the painful condition. Recently, I 'm on a herbal medication called diuretic and anti-inflammatory pill. My pain during urinating has been alleviated a little. Hope it can greatly relieve my symptoms.

I'm not sure that is true , but maybe you need sign up for the scan health plan. Then try again at Costco pharmacy in California.

Indianapolis has the same problem. Doctors have been writing prescriptions to almost anyone that says they're feeling fatigued. And if you're a single mother you will definitely get a script. The only problem now is trying to find a pharmacy that actually has them in stock. I went to fill my prescription which was 30 milligram IR and the pharmacist told me that they would have to give me double the medication because all they had were 10 milligram in stock. I was also given the option of trying a different Pharmacy and they acted like I was a crackhead.

Sandoz is one of the best manufacturers. I have not been able to find those since they changed my prescription. If anyone in Indianapolis news a pharmacy that has them please chime in

Yes I am in NY and I just got a script for 5 pills at 5mg and both drug stores are sold out and on backorder. What's going on? This will be the first time taking this drug they are starting me on 5mg then each week go up.

1st of all, you'll never suffer withdrawal symptoms from Adderall, thankfully. 2nd, I'm from Southeastern Mass myself and occasionally we run into same prob down here. But I've used same pharm for last 6 years and go there every 28 days like clockwork so it's rare I have this issue tho not unheard of.

Yep. Again. Pharmacies won't even say whether or not they have it over the phone. They won't even call another location of the same company. I've been hopping from place to place. After about a dozen, i just give up for awhile --maybe 2 months or so.

I am having trouble getting my Adderall 20 mg. here in Brea, CA. Can't call around to see if they have it, and most are on backorder. It is frustrating. I need it's part of the array of drugs I take for Bipolar Disorder. Very upsetting. Have been on the same meds 10 years no problem, till I had to go on extended release due to issues with the drug company discontinuing the making of the of 20mg by Teva. It's just is so unfair to the people that really need it, because of the abuse factor which I have no problem with. It does not induce drug seeking tendency. You can't call to see if anyone has them, because they won't talk to you because it is a controlled substance. So what is a person to do? I am so infuriated.

Yes and it is so unfair. I have ADD. Don't abuse it and it really upsets me when I can't get the meds I need to help me. I am bipolar and take a mixture that has worked for 10 years. Everything is on backorder. I do not drive without it.
