Adderall Backorder (Page 27)

I take generic Adderall 20 mg for narcolepsy and there is not one local pharmacy that has it in stock. I have never had this problem before. The pharmacies are saying that it's on backorder from the manufacturer. Is anyone else having problems getting their scripts filled?

Yes, this seems to happen every few years unfortunately. I'm tried of it; I've asked my Dr to put me on something else.

I follow the CDC's page on FB & have seen a lot of posts about getting kids therapy instead of drugs, myself i think becuz too many adults are taking their kids adderall.

I have been searching all over altamonte and longwise for a pharmacy that will fill my 30 mg script for adderall from dr Moyer. And so far everyone is giving me the run around. If you know any pharmacy that accepts him, please let me know.

It's because people are selling it instead of taking it, and I have heard of parents taking their kids meds also. I don't think young children should be on Adderall anyways, they do have non stimulant drugs. But people abused drugs, painkillers, Valium, pretty much everything & the ones who actually are prescribed it and take it because it helps them function; suffer.

In have been unable to get Sandoz 3omg adderall for the last 2 months which is really effecting me in a negative manner as teva or corepharma neither measure up to the
Sandoz brand. I had been getting Sandoz at a local mom/pop pharmacy. Does anyone have suggestions as to what or where I should try.

Yes if script dated first week of month rite aid is always out of them..had no problem when script was filled on 15 the..I've called 3 rite aids today no one has them.

I am a customer @CVS, And a delivery pharmacy, And they are saying All Adderall are back ordered from every pharmaceutical Company. as well as pharmacies, everywhere. I am also a transplant patient, with a very surrpressed immune system. I was told if I run out of my Adderall for my ADD, I. COULD GO INTO WITHDRAWLS SYMPTOMS? IF SO, WHO OS TO BLAME FOR THAT? MY MED DR. WON'T EVEN GIVE ME SOMETHING IN PLACE OF IT!!!!! VERY CONCERNED!

I hear you can mail-order for cheaper and no back-order hassles. Hit up the mom and pop shops stuffed in the back corner of hospitals. They almost always come thru. Keep looking, they are there. Target, Grocery stores, Walmart. This is happeninng all the time now and I'm going to try mail-order.

Thank you, the diagnosis of this has changed my life I went from being crazy out-of-control thought my life is going nowhere dropped out of school had a baby got married did a lot of crazy stuff and then I was diagnosed because of my records back in school work you know basically saying I was without saying I was because they can't give you a diagnosis and I as an adult I went and got it and now I'm in college and I'm making Straight A's, my life is on track and now they've take this away and it's like I can't focus again, I'm always late because I get lost in my own mind, I'm depressed more, I can't stand down to focus on anything, I end up doing everything else except what I should be. It's like the easiest stuff for typical people but as atypical person the easiest is the hardest for me. Unfortunately for me for the spectrum of ADHD on the sub category of three witches pretty much the worst one and because my disabilities invisible and must not exist. I don't understand why they don't just finally have a real test for ADHD. So people who actually need it get it. I have my ups and downs everyday is a fight with my own self. If they could walk a day in my shoes they would only last a day. Thank you the advice. I do believe ADHD people need to get real. It's not fun, and so much more than forgetting. God bless

I went to a mom and pops store... Usually go to riteaid but anyhow they only had 60 of the Sandoz tablets that work for me so they owe me 30 and are supposed to call me. they said they are on backorder. they had the pink Cora Pharma pills that don't do nothing of course. I take three 20 mg tabs a day. sandoz is the only manufacturer that works for me. I have Medicaid and managed family care with optima family care. they have always covered this generic drug by Sandoz but the pharmacist told me that they would not cover it.. I paid 90 some dollars for it. I am so pissed off I had switched to the Shire brand last month. I had a months worth. I hated it so I got back to my doctor today to get my regular tablets. Wyehwood Medicaid covers a drug that is the EXR by Shire that is 500 and some dollars instead of the one that is 90 something ...which I don't even think is the brand anymore, Xr and I didn't like it at all, so I went today and got my prescription back to what I have been on since last year, for a year and a half (Sandoz immediate release tablets).. Doesn't really make any sense. I live in Virginia... But I've had a mom-and-pop person (not the same one) lie to me before and say my insurance wouldn't cover the Adderall, the same Adderall that I got covered there and filled by the same person and I went right next-door to Walgreens and they filled it with no problem. I knew he was lying.

Some pharmacies can't take all insurances. Currently, my worthless insurance requires me to fill at a pharmacy that's like 2 hours from me and that's the only pharmacy where my insurance can be used. So needless to say I pay 80$+ for my prescription every month. I'm just happy when I can get it filled at all, I don't even worry with insurance anymore.

What!!!! Thats nuts. Your Dr is a jerk. I told mine my dr I was having a hard time finding it & its on backorder again. Also, said that I didn't want to go through all the withdrawal symptoms, it's hard enough being ADHD. So she put me on the xtended release. Its better than having to go through the emotional roller coaster. Its helps a little with the ADHD symptoms but definitely not as effective & only last 5 hrs max, Sucks because my day starts @ 6:30am & ends 9:30pm.

I have been taking adderall for over 12 years. I was told I had add at age 7. my mom said it hasn't been studied enough. when I went back years later my dr recommend it. Everyone saw a change in me for the better. I could focus. it never made me high. so I'm confused why some ppl use is as a drug but anyways I have had so much trouble since I've had it prescribed, it's always out of stock so I'm off and on I'm. not addicted to it but I feel like it's dangerous when you do truly need it and can't get it. Every time I change my insurance it's a nightmare, due to marriage, then my husband's work changed. But again they hand it out to college kids like candy and the people who need it suffer. My doctor saw me go though this many times so she writes me 3 a day instead of 2 that way when I can't get it due to back order and all other roadblocks I can stretch it out until the order comes in. I once waited 3 months cold turkey. I held a very important job that requires my focus and when I'm not on it I put milk in the pantry and cereal in the fridge. (if you really need this Med) you know what I mean. Cold turkey I mean that's so dangerous. you fight with the pharmacy, then insurance, then the doctor. My advice is find a doctor who knows how to weed out the people who don't need it. They will try their best to help you. Hope I can share my story and help others.

There is no physical withdrawal symptoms from Adderall. Just drowsiness and fatigue. Psychological withdrawal symptoms can be tricky though but nothing serious.

I went to my normal cvs pharmacy- one I've never had an issue in 3 years getting a 90 day supply, and I got the same answer. I went to 4 other pharmacies including a hospital pharmacy, and all of them said the same thing. The hospital was the worst- treated me like trash when they saw my script. I take two generic 15s a day. It's not much. Ugh. I'm frustrated.

I have a script of 30mg instant and usually fill at publix but want to change up brand names for a better effect. It's been over a year since I've been to Walgreens, think they will give me any issues, or should I stick with publix that is twice as expensive?
