Anti-Inflammatory Overview

Anti-inflammatory or antiphlogistic is the property of a substance or treatment that reduces inflammation or swelling. Anti-inflammatory drugs, also called anti-inflammatories, make up about half of analgesics. These drugs remedy pain by reducing inflammation as opposed to opioids, which affect the central nervous system to block pain signaling to the brain.

Rumoquin N F Where Can I Buy It

I just found Rumoquin NF at Mexipharmacy. They don't seem to take credit cards, but offer other ways to buy. I've been taking Arthrotec 75 for about 14 years for arthritis all over my body. My pain seems to respond favorably to diclofenac and Arthrotec 75 contains misprostol as well, a stomach protectant. However, I ran out when last in Mexico and was sold Rumoquin NF at a farmacia. The diclofenac worked its wonders, but the additional ingredients, dexamethasone and methocarbamol, seem to potentiate the relief. Rumoquin NF is also orders of magnitude cheaper and I generally need take only one per day. Win/win. ## i would like to order some of the rumoquin how much is it? im from sacramento, ca ## Stacey, try mexipharmacy. Rumoquin NF is not easy to find, but seems to be sold pri...

Recently, during my visit to the Dominican Republic, I encountered an unfortunate case of food poisoning that resulted in a hospital visit. prednisone, 13 mg, tapering

Hi everybody, I accidently switched my 1 mg tablets with 5 mg. As a result I'been taken 13 mg of prednisone instead of 5 mg. I'been tapering prednisone 1 mg in two weeks prior to this. What do I do now? Switch back to 5 mg a day, or taper off 13 mg gradually? Thanks ## If you've been taking it for less than 21 days, there night not be a need to taper, if it's been longer than that, I would suggest speaking to your doctor for an appropriate taper schedule, in light of your dosing error. The FDA lists the typical side effects of Prednisone as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne, nervousness, and insomnia. Ref: Prednisone Information Are you on any other medications?

Reumapirin pills

Hi. I was wondering about the medication (the one named in the subject) because my boy friend told me that it's something that he used to use for pain when he was younger living in Honduras. So I would like to know what it is, what it used for, and its side effects are. I would also like to know if its sold here in the U.S.? ## I can't find anything under this name, or anything similar. It can be hard to find details on foreign medications, especially if they are older. Does he know anything else about it? ## Don't know if I am too late on this one however....Reumapirin 50mg Diclofenaco Potasico - (Diclofenac potassium) Rx contains the potassium salt of Diclofenac, a compound not steroid with analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties. took too many prednisone pills

I have a rx for Prednisone 20mg to take e 1 tablet daily with a quantity of 5 pills. I took 3 tablets in a 24 hour period, leaving me 2 pills to take. This is to get me ready for cancer surgery on my mouth to make sure my lungs are clear. What should I do? Do I take 1 pill for the next 2 days? or skip some days and try and follow the 5-day regiment? I feel like a fool. Thank you for your help. ## Jody, please check with your prescribing doctor, as they may need to prescribe a couple more pills for you to take, before your surgery, so you get the full five days of dosing. Prednisone may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, acne, weight changes, insomnia, and mood changes. Ref: Prednisone Information Are you on any other medications?

Does Diclofenac have Sulfa in it

Is there Sulfa in Diclofenac and will it have an effect on my Sulfa allergies? ## I also have a sulfa allergy and have taken diclofenac with no problem. ## @Nancy, Just to confirm, Diclofenac Sodium is not a sulfa-based drug; but rather a 'sodium salt'. So my understanding is in line with Karen's (post #1) in that you shouldn't experience any problems relating to a sulfa allergy. [1] (Diclofenac) MedlinePlus As to the inactive ingredients, one would have to know the imprint on the pill to determine if other binders/fillers could potentially be a culprit as well. However, if you do have a known allergy, I would just be sure to communicate this to the doctor and/or pharmacist whenever you go to get a new prescription... that way you can be certain that whatever it is you...

Will Expired Diclofenac Still Work

I have Diclofenac that was prescribed in late 2006 but has no expiry date. Is it still safe to use? ## Hello, Bob! How are you? I'm not sure how your country handles drug laws and expiration dates, so I can only provide you with information that I am familiar with from the U.S. FDA. From their efficacy studies, when left in the original factory sealed containers, it was found to retain full efficacy for 3 years, but once that container was opened and it was dispensed in a pharmacy/chemist's container that exposes it to the elements that cause degradation, that efficacy could only be guaranteed for one year. It was not, however, found to become dangerous after the expiration date, but after so many years, it is most likely worthless and you should just dispose of it. ## I have Di...
