Anyone concerned about the new legal cases and their allegations? Woke up the one morning with calf pain, no swelling, redness or warmth. I knew enough to know i could not explain the leg pain and was in the car for about 6 hours the previous day and decided to go to the ER. Diagnosed with a small DVT in my right lower leg. Was told to take Xarelto for 3 months. No restrictions otherwise. Back to normal activity when my leg felt better. I have been on it for 4 weeks now. I'm taking 20 m strength for the last 6 weeks following a cerebral stroke. I'm a 49yr old female and had a DVT that caused two large lateral PE. After genetic testing and many other tests they are happy to blame the Birth control pill I was taking along with a 5 hour car ride. I am 3months on Xarelto and my side effects are back pain, hip joint pain and my sleeping is off. I have a high tolerance for pain so I have been dealing with it. I was told if all goes well with the test by my 6 month I will be released from taking Xarelto. I hope my pulmonary doctor is telling me the truth as I find him to say things he knows I want to hear. ## I am very sorry about the problems you've experienced. I have been on Xarelto 5 days now, after being switched off Coumadin when I was in the hospital for blood clots in multiple arm veins. On the 3rd day of Xarelto, started to get tightness in my calf and a little bit in thigh. Slowly it is getting worse, as well as knee pain. The weird thing is it is not swelling and it comes and goes. Saw where this can be a side effect, but haven't seen or heard how long I can expect this to last, if it gets better, etc.? Since my last eye exam about 18 months ago my vision has gone from 20/20 to 20/40. Has anyone else experienced this as a side effect of Xarelto use. I have been on 20 mg per day for about 3 months. ## Hello, Helen! How are you? That is not listed by the FDA as a normal side effect of Xarelto. They are listed as typically including nausea, dizziness, headache, joint pain and bleeding. Are you on any other medications?

I have gained about 40 pounds in 8 months, I don't attribute all of that to xarelto, however I work out pretty vigorously, and after seeing the posts, I'm sure it has had an effect. I was hit by a car (pedestrian in the crosswalk) on 2/11/16. I developed DVT a couple of weeks later (clots in calf below knee sutures.) They did the ultrasound and a shot of Lovenox in the hospital. Discharged the next day and put on Xarelto 10 mg once a day. I just saw vascular doctor for two-week follow-up, and he ordered 10 mg once a day for 6 more weeks. I'm in pain with no relief of symptoms. He said I am not on higher dose due to bleeding risk. Just unsure of this. Thoughts? ## Hello, Melissa! How are you? I'm so sorry about the accident. I am currently taking xarelto and xanax and I am trying to lose wait and wanted to know if it would be safe for me to take forskolin since I am taking the xarelto. ## Hello, Brenda! How are you? I didn't find any problems or interactions listed in the databases that I checked, however, I must add the caveat that natural supplements, such as Forskolin, are not actually studied for possible problems or interactions, so the safest thing to do would be to check with your doctor, before taking it, to be safe. The FDA warns that Xanax carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?

I seem to be doing fine with the xarelto, but my arthritis is killing me without my prescription pain reliever, Arthrotec. Does anyone take arthrotec with Xarelto? If not, what pain killer can I take? I tried an opiod and it made me foggy and unsteady on my feet. I am sensitive to meds and arthrotec really helped me, which is why I miss it so much. ## Hi Judy, According to umm.edu's drug interaction checker, there ARE interactions listed between Xarelto (Rivaroxaban) and Arthrotec (Diclofenac sodium). I am training really hard, but I don't get sore after. Could this be because of the xeralto. Thank you ## Hello, Ange! How are you? I doubt it, Xeralto is actually reported by the FDA as causing aches and pains as side effects in some people that take it. As to your training, are you usually doing the same things at the same intensity? Because, if so, then it is normal for your body to get used to it and stop getting so sore and achy.

I was put on xerelto 3 months ago after hip surgery and got a dvt..Dr took blood work last week and a doppler ultrasound and found no markers or signs of blood clot in my calf. My husband started Xarelo Dec 21. He is having a lot of hip/leg/knee pain, and we've been told the drug is breaking down the DVT clots and setting up inflammation in his body as a reaction. Was on coumodin since Oct 2015. Personal doctor switched me from coumodin to Xeralto three weeks ago. Since then, I have had to go to ER two times to have my left knee drained. Am away from residence for two months so I have been seeing the orthopedist who is treating me. Had sonogram and MRI done last week. No clots or tears in the knee. Is anyone still suffering regular chest pain 10 months on from a pulmonary embolism? Mine was a very large unprovoked saddle PE. I am on xarelto 20mg. My husband is scheduled to have a Button TURP surgery. The Urologist would like him to be off Xarelto for at least 5days.He is on it for Afib. The cardiologist won't approve that til he can see him. I am a 65 year old woman and I was put on xarelto 20mg in Oct 2015. I have knee pain and thigh pain, so I called my doctor and he took me off, but I still have the pain. Since you were taking it for several months, it could take 2 weeks, or so, for things to improve. You should start to see a gradual improvement, as time passes, if not, then you should consult your doctor, again.
