We do not live in the US, Rimadyl is extremely expensive here. At present I administer 25 mg twice a day to our two arthritic geriatic dogs [30 and 40 lbs]. Have you tried asking your vet for a cheaper alternative or other treatment options? ## Rimadyl contains the active ingredient Carprofen - Depending on where in the world you are located, a generic or substituted brand name may be available. Just wondering because when I look it up it says it's a veterinary medicine for joint pain. Also, what do you mean by "rimadyl for c as nine use!"? I see you posted this thread back on Nov 11, 2015 - Have you had a chance to talk with your friend since the incident to find out if she's alright? Thanks for any feedback you might have!

Side effects in felines, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

What would happen to a Jack Russell dog, 15 lbs, if he ate one lipin 20mg by accident? ## Hello, Driver 5518! How is your pup? In such cases, it would be best to consult a veterinarian, I'm not very familiar with the use of most medications in animals. Did he suffer any adverse effects? Which medication did he take? Lupin is just the name of a manufacturer, not a drug, so I can't identify it just with the information you've provided. However, many drugs are used in humans and dogs, it's just the dosages that change. ## Yes, my dog had seizures, it's really weird that the last 3 times a particular person was visiting with me over the last 3 years, this has happened and I found these type pills on the floor by the bed, the pill is round and pink in color. My 60lbs.dog has an abscessed tooth . I'm.currently unemployed and cant.afford to take her to a vet. My question.is " Can I give her my 500mg kaflex and if so, how much and how often?" ## Hello, Kristi! How is your pup? I'm sorry that she's in pain. Many dogs are given a dosage similar to that which people are given, 500mgs twice a day, but only your veterinarian can say if it is safe for your dog to take. Additionally, a dental infection is usually due to some underlying issue, such as a loose tooth or cavity, which an antibiotic will not remedy, so it will require veterinary treatment, or the infection will keep returning. Side effects in canines are similar to those experienced by people and may include nausea, drowsiness, diarrhea and skin rash. Is there anything...
It's a pink oval pill that is cut in half and scored on the MG side. I have another half that says 25 and is scored. On the other half of the 25 pill, there is a PF imprint. I tried looking up multiple pictures and pill identifiers without any luck, if you know what this is, it would be greatly appreciated for the information. ## Hi Volumes, I can't say for sure that this is what it is, but from what I could gather, a peach/pink colored oval pill with the word "Pfizer" on one side and "25" & "MG" on the other is identified as a veterinary medication known as Zeniquin; which is an antibiotic prescribed for cats and dogs. You can view a photograph if you run a google image search for "Zeniquin" and it should come up with a few pictures of what t...
My vet prescribed previcox 227 mg for my dog but the pills he gave me have bp-car 100mg printed on them. Is this the same drug or did he make a mistake ## Hello, Rick! How are you and that pup? No, they are not the same medication. Previcox contains the active ingredient Firocoxib, but the one you've been given contains Carprofen. They are both non-steroidal anti-inflammatories, but not the same. I'd suggest contacting them to double check which your dog should be taking. Is there anything else I can help with?
Found many of the white round pills with the imprint A 807 at horse barn. ## Hello, Robert! How are you? There is nothing that matches this description in the U.S. prescription drug databases that I've checked, that coupled with the fact that you found them in a horse barn leads me to suspect that they are most likely some type of veterinary medication. I'll keep looking and post back, when I have information for you. Does anyone else know what these are?
What does a RIMADYL tablet look like? After surgery, my dog was given a pill. I just found the bottle but cannot read the label. The white round pill has FD on one side, and either 532 or 552 on the other (pill is split). ## Hello, Maddies Mom! How are you? I'm sorry, but I have no listing for Rimadyl tablets. It is a medication developed specifically for canines, so it isn't listed in the prescription databases, since they only include medications for human use. Have you tried asking the prescribing vet? They should have records of what was prescribed. ## Hi Verwon~ Thank you, I did not realize that the data base did not include pet meds. Have a wonderful weekend.
