Hi. I would like to know if Tergecef 400mg is ok to be taken once a day for my dog? He was diagnosed with a 'Transmitted Venereal Tumor' 3 years ago and his medication was only Cefalixine. For years, I had to stop this medication for intermittent periods of time since I am aware that prolonged use might do more harm than good, and opted for antioxidants, but recently I talked to a niece who told me that he uses Tergecef on her dog that had the same ailment and it was cured. Should I try this?

Orange round pill with 43 printed in black what is it ## Hello, Sassey! How are you? I'm sorry, but I can't find anything that matches this description. However, Acepromazine is most commonly used in veterinary medicine, so that could be what, if that's what this tablet contains. Have you recently had to administer medications to a pet?

This is a veternarian medication. Hard to find any info on ## I'm sorry, I can't find a listing for this either, but as a veterinary medication this isn't really surprising, because our information is geared for human medications. Have you tried asking the vet that prescribed it? ## My doggie was given this as a tranquilizer after being spayed. I was trying to find out what kind it was. ## Sounds like the pill you have is Acepromazine. It is a very strong canine sedative. A quarter of a pill is enough to sedate a small dog up to 25 lbs. Do not give to puppies.

Does Temaril P have a specific shelf life? The one I have for my dog is from 2 years ago, but the bottle doesn't have an expiration date. I was needing to know if it's still good after 2 years? ## Hi, Shayna! Yes, all medications have a limited shelf life, even those intended for veterinary use. The general rules are… Liquids are only good for approximately 10days, if refrigerated. Tablets that have been placed into a dispensing bottle, such as something you may receive from your vet or pharmacy, are good for one year from the date you receive them. Tablets that are still sealed in the original factory container usually have a shelf-life of about 3 years, until that seal is broken and they are exposed to the elements. Not all medications become dangerous past the expiratio...

TMS 240 gram Was given to me for my bird. His white blood count was 2 times lower then Normal. What do you think he is treating? ## Hi Lori, Based on my research, Each g contains 1000mgs of Tricaine Methanesulfonate (also known as TMS). I can't seem to find a whole lot of information on this veterinary medication, but apparently Tricaine methanesulfonate (TMS, MS-222), is white powder used for anesthesia, sedation, or euthanasia of fish. I do wonder if this is even the correct medication, but no other results are popping up for TMS in the way that you mentioned it. It is manufactured in Canada by: Syndel Laboratories Ltd. I hope this info helps! Has anyone else heard of TMS?

I found a slightly more than half of a pill. It is bright orange, and has -2 on one side and on the other side, a large P with either an H or an I above it. It was in a pill box and I am wondering what the person who has this pill is using them for. However, it might be a veterinary pill as it was in a drawer where animal meds are kept. I sort of doubt this though. Any ideas? Thanks! ## Also, it is round. Thanks! ## Without knowing the full imprint, it is going to be difficult to even make a guess at it. Do you know who was keeping it in that drawer? I'm also curious as to why you think it isn't a pet medication, if it was in a drawer where they are commonly kept? ## It could be anything. I live in a shared space household and community. Probably it is one of my dog's pills ...

She's been on glycoflex for years now.She just started to favor a rear leg.The vet found that she is starting to have pain,so she gave me some sample bottles of deramaxx to try.I asked how much when samples used up & was told $112.xx for 30tabs! My name is Debra and I have worked and taught in the human health field for 28 years. I am currently teaching adjunct professor courses on health and fitness at a local community college here in Michigan. I also personal train and teach fitness classes to the elderly including those with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s disease at a local senior center. I have seen the positive benefits of properly prescribed medications in improving the quality of life in humans and on occasion I have seen the negative impact of interactions of prescription medications and understand the disastrous consequences that can arise from misinformed or in this case totally uninformed individuals. I am a dog lover and a dog owner and am shocked and dismayed at the relatively po...

is it ok to grind pills that have to be given to pets so that they can be mixed with their food? ## Yes, you can do that as long as they aren't time released pills and as long as your veterinarian or the pill labeling hasn't warned you not to do so. There are some pills that would carry such a warning, because they may do damage to the stomach or esophagus if they are crushed and the protective outer coating removed. Learn more prescription drug details here. Check the labeling and if you see something such as ER, XR, SR or something similar then it is time released and not safe to crush or grind up. Is there anything else I can help with?

My chiweenie was taking 1/2 Deramaxx 25mg once daily until the backorder began. I have 100mg tablets Rimadyl, would it be safe to quarter these and give her a quarter once daily? Thanks! ## Hi Migisi, If you feel that the vet prescribed a heavy dosage, then yes, I'd suggest cutting the pill into fractions when necessary, if not but to see how your dog responds to it. Even if there's not score/break lines on the pill I'd give it a try. The only time I don't recommend doing that is if the drug itself is an extended release version, because I'm not sure how that may affect it's chemistry. I hope this helps! ## Thanks David!

you can find them online or go to countries that sell them over the counter in veterinary pharmacies. i wish i could help you more but this is all i can give you. the only thing is, there are many fake dealers online and you can't tell which ones are real. it might be better to visit the country that sell them and hopefully you'd be able to find, buy and bring it back with you. i hope you are not going to harm/hurt anybody, your family or someone else's. i wish you well
