Anyway, when I went to get my script filled I could only afford to get a few bcuz of the price. I went back the nxt day and got a few more while I had the money. Well the next time I went the pharmacist told me that it was "new" policy that I have to fill the rest all at once instead of a few at a time. I told them about my new situation and being switched over from subutex and how i was not prepared for how expensive suboxone was gonna be and they let me fill half of what i had left to get and I told them I would get the rest friday when I got paid. Well I was talking to my mother about it and she said she would give me the rest of the money to get the rest the nex...
Could any one tell me if there is a law that says a Dr. Cannot prescribe suboxine and benzodiazapines ## Hello, Mary! How are you? No, there is not. There are directives that were issued by the DEA telling them to be very careful, when doing so and some doctors treating for addiction with Suboxone just don't want to prescribe it, but there is no law saying they definitively can't prescribe them together. In the past on here, I had erroneously used the term regulation, when referring to the directives from the DEA, but that really wasn't the correct term. These things aren't set as law, just suggestions for the doctors, to tell try to help stem the flow of abuse, diversion and improper prescribing. Some doctors also prefer that the patient see an appropriate specialist fo...
I can't find a dr taking patients is there a way to get suboxen prescribed in line or something ## Hello, Chaz! How are you? I'm sorry, but no, that would be illegal. Since this is a controlled substance, law requires that you are physically seen and evaluated by a doctor to have it prescribed. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction. It has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you tried using the search engine on the Suboxone website? If my friend took 2 klodipens after doing suboxon will it make them sick ## No, Suboxone doesn't block the action of benzodiazepines, nor should it cause precipitated withdrawals. It only blocks other narcotics. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Klonopin can also be habit forming, so if they're in treatment for drug addiction, they shouldn't take it, unless their doctor approves. It may also cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?
I just started taking suboxone about a week and a half ago and meant to ask my doctor what to expect from symptoms and forgot. im experiencing extreme sleepiness, fatigue, body aches, and my mood can flip on a dime and im not even taking as much as he told me to...he told me to take 16mgs a day and im only taking either 8mgs or 12mgs a day, so my question is am i suppose to be experiencing all of this in the beginning or should i call my doctor? ## Hello, Jessica! How are you? Suboxone does contain an opiate, so yes, it can cause side effects that fast. The FDA lists its other side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. However, they should start to improve, after about 4 weeks, or so, once your body gets used to the medication. Is there a...
Can someone please tell me if I can stop taking suboxone all at once. I have only been on it for one month or so and it is an 8 mg. doseage twice a day. Will it be safe or will I have withdrawals. ## I have been on Suboxone 8 mg. twice a day for two months. Can I stop taking it cold turkey or will I have withdrawals? Someone please tell me. Thanks ## Yes, stopping it abruptly will most likely cause withdrawals. If you want to stop taking it, the best thing to do would be to speak to your doctor about the proper way to taper off of it. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and its withdrawal effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, diarrhea and rebound pain. Is there anything else I can help with?
Found a dozen round orange pills marked AN 412 in my 15 year olds desk. What are they ? ## Hello, David! How are you? Is the marking possibly AN 415? Can you please double check? If so, this tablet is manufactured by Amneal Pharmaceuticals and they list as being an 8/2mg Suboxone tablet. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
Hi i live in the state of Texas and i have been on Suboxene for 18 months. My doctor is 90 minutes away so they really work with me and i only actually have to go see him every 4 months. Well, i get 60 of the 8 mg strips a month and im prescribed 2 a day, but i have been tapering down because i cannot afford the 275.00 doctor fee every month. I just made a month script last me 2 months. I've never failed a drug panel, always paid them on time. Well, I ran out of my suboxene 4 days ago and its not even my fault because my doctor office is so busy they cant see me until monday. So i nicely asked the doctor assistant to call me in a few until they can see me because im starting to feel really bad and she has done it for me before, but now that there's a female Doctor instead of a m...
So I'm hoping someone here can help me, I was addicted to percocet after several knee surgeries and knew that I was dependant, I couldn't afford to get sick from wd as I work a very demanding FT job and take care of a home, 3 kids, husband.. Hands are full.. Anyhow, I went to see a suboxone doctor after hearing this would be a great way to avoid the deathly wd symptoms.. This has been the most shameful, humiliating and degrading clinic experience ever... Not sure if anyone has been to ontario canada and have had to go through the clinics here.. Let me start, first apt, walk in and clinic full of street ppl, serious drug abusers mostly dependant on methadone and then trying to sell it right outside the clinic amungst other things, totally intimidating for someone like me that has...
I love subutex but can't get is this a popular drug like suboxton ## Hello, Kat! How are you? While both are commonly used to treat drug addiction, Subutex only contains the opiate Buprenorphine. However, Suboxone couples Buprenorphine with Naloxone, to neutralize other narcotics and help prevent their abuse, while someone is being treated with it. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Suboxone is the preferred drug for treatment, unless someone is pregnant, or allergic to the Naloxone. Is there anything else I can help with?
Hi all, I just made the switch from Methadone to Suboxone! YES! I went through hell to get here but I did it. Anyway, I'm on day 3 of suboxone and I'm at 16mg. My question is should I take two 8mg strips in the morning or one in the morning and one in the afternoon? Any input would help. Btw, this is the ONLY forum I've found that is updated! ## It is generally given in a single daily dose, though splitting it up may work better for you and can be done, if your doctor approves. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. i was getting Orange suboxone I was down to a quarter of a pill although my doc thought I was taking half 2 a whole (I wanna get off he doesn't want me 2 so I didn't say I lowered myself)then all of a sudden I get switched to these peach/pink whatever you wanna call them pills next thing I know I'm back to taking half to a whole, found some of my old orange started taking half&i was fine just not happy cas I was down to a quarter before these peach/pink ones which I had to go back 2 cas that's what I have,I think they are weaker. I do not find the new Roxane peachy pink tablets of suboxone to be as strong as the orange,I felt a little off,had anxiety and was even a little extra depressed. It sucks because I basically went back up on the suboxone when I would like to g...
I have been on 16 mg of suboxone for almost a month. Last night I took 3 norco 10 mgs at the same time. It has been 15 hours can I take my suboxone? ## From what I've seen on other threads, it seems like most people recommend waiting until the norco is completely out of your system before taking suboxone (which may be an estimated 24-48 hours based on how much you took). So yeah, I get the sense that you're on the right track, but if it were me I'd probably try to wait it out for another day or so (may be easier said than done). There's also something called a Clinical Opiate Withdrawal Scale (COWS) which you can look up online that asks you a series of questions to help you better determine when you might be in withdrawals and therefore ready to use suboxone. I hope thi...
I'm being switched back to suboxone from subutex next month bc tn governor signed a bill not to allow subutex to anybody who isn't pregnant. I've not taken suboxone since 2012 I desperately need to know which suboxone is best I was never a big fan of the strips or the stop sign orange subs I keep hearing there's better cheaper versions now please help thanks
UpdatedThe last 2 years of taking suboxone I have had severe anxiety which has caused me to really go threw way too much Xanax. I have just found out that naloxone has a lot of side effects that I have had and have been suffering from. What should I tell my suboxone doctor who I would think should know this ive told them 100s of times all the symptoms and I actually think their are more side effects than reported I noticed when I abruptly stopped taking them that the itching and tingling in my face was gone which was an everyday thing I also am wondering if it has caused me other serious side effects not reported like my periods are out of whack and unusual im 43 and my whole life I have always been pretty skinny. But in this last year and a half I have put on close to 50 pounds out of nowhere...
I have a pill that is supposed to be generic suboxone. On it is 54 on top and 375 on bottom. Nothing on the back. What is this? ## Hello, Rob! How are you? This tablet is manufactured by Roxane Laboratories and they list it as being an 8/2mg generic for Suboxone. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I am having painful foot surgery next month. I want to make sure my pain medication works for me. I have tapered down my suboxine to 1/5 of a 2mg. strip every other day. If I am off completely for a few days before surgery, will the pain medication work? ## It would be best to double check with your doctor to make sure you stop taking it for the proper amount of time, before surgery. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate that is most commonly used to treat drug addiction, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. How long have you been on the Suboxone?
Okay All, I know many opiate addicts are young, lack education, conduct no personal research, but the facts and questions about Suboxone and Subutex here are so incredibly stupid, it appears I found a sight were the lowest form of opiate addict posts. Look, I have a Ph.D in Chem, work for one of the top 3 Pharm Companies in the World, and was an opiate addict for over nine years! So, what we all have in common is very weak wills and believing we could control our longing for that opiate (or opiod) induced euphoria. Many opiate addicts have co-dependencies and are also addicted to stimulants (Amphetamines) and Benzos (Xanax, Valium, Klonopin, countless others) so if you are looking for help getting off of these drugs, then see a Doctor because, in the case of benzos or alcohol, withdrawa...
I am prescribed Adderal, Norco and Xanax. I took a very small piece of Suboxone the night before and I had a random drug screen the next afternoon. Will the Suboxone show up in the test? They sent it off because of the other medications I'm on. ## Yes it will show for up to 8 day after you take it no matter what amount you took even a little piece shows for up to 8 day ,I just went though this with my pain management.. True trust me...... ## TRUTH AND FACT... After reading all the different times in the replies I bought some FDA approved test strips. The same urine test strips the sub dr's use and that tested at the same cut off level used by ALL urine tests. Used 6 to 8mg a day for 7 days and they tested POSITIVE for 15 days straight... FINALLY Clean by day 16. That's the fa...
