I've been on trazodone for 2 weeks but quit taking it 24 hours ago. Is it safe to take melatonin now? ## According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool) there are no interactions listed between Trazodone and melatonin. Also, our bodies naturally produce melatonin at night. So if there were to be an interaction, no one would be able to take their Trazodone at night or while napping in a dark room. I'm not trying to sound facetious, but in my honest opinion there really shouldn't be any problem with this combination, otherwise Trazodone would be rendered useless for all humans.

I just cant sleep and have been to the doctor, but got no results from these temazepam caps. ## What else have you tried? Benzodiazepines, such as Temazepam, are usually only prescribed as a last resort, after all other options have failed, so no doctor is going to prescribe them to treat insomnia as the first choice. The first thing they will want you to try is what they call good sleep hygiene, which includes no stimulants after 3pm, no alcohol, in bed by 11pm, up by 8am and etc. ## Really? I have suffered chronic insomnia for over 30 years and now my current doc will not prescribe any hypnotics at all. I used to rotate 3/4 meds to avoid tolerance, on the advice of a previous, much more understanding GP. He would script me triazolam, quinalbarbitone (now called Secobarbital) or the combo Tuinal, methaqualone and flunitrazepam 2mg.
