For the past 5 years, the pain has been managed but lately his pain is back and more intense. He does not want to depend on these medicines anymore because of its side effects. Is there someone who can recommend an alternative? He is 60 years old. ## He might try gallium maltolate skin cream, which many people with postherpetic neuralgia say has helped relieve their pain. I am new to Georgia. I live about 45 minutes south of Atlanta. My Dr. back home prescribed me Hydrocodone and/or Tramadol for menstrual pains. My menstrual pains have inconvenienced me 5 days a month for as long as I could remember until I met my Dr. back home. I don't want to waste the time or money going to a Dr. here for him to tell me to take 800mg Ibuprofen and call it a day. Any recommendations for doctors who are open minded to pain medication? ## Hi, Brooke! Sorry about the pain you've suffered. It isn't that doctors aren't open minded and don't want to treat pain, it's that there are restrictions on what they can prescribe, why they can prescribe it, how much they can prescribe and for how long they can prescribe it. Since this is related to your menstru...
I have 2 busted ear drums and stints put in because they are so swollen the drops fall out. The doctor has me on 1 oxycodone 5 - 325 every 6 hours but I get no relief. I've taken 2 of the 7.5 -500 mg and had relief but he gave me the wrong dose this time around and gave me 5. I was just wondering if I could take 2 every 4 to 6 hours when or if needed and be ok. My label says ok but still was asking. Thanks ## Hello, Katt! How are you? I'm very sorry that you're in pain. If the doctor has prescribed it that way, then there shouldn't be a problem, as long as you don't exceed the recommend daily limit of 3,000mgs of the Acetaminophen. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic that carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such ...
I am switching Doctors, I am prescribed 180 oxycodone 30mg a month an take about 6 a day. I have been very sick for the past two weeks so I haven't taken my medication, now that I feel better an my pain is back I took a 15mg oxycodone a hour an a half before seeing my new Doctor, he said he was giving me a saliva test, so I freaked out a little and swollowed another 15mg oxycodone and snorted one too just to get it into my system... Are they checking my levels in this saliva test? Can they do that? An if so with the 15mg I swollowed an hour an a half before the visit, the 15mg I swollowed and snorted right before, will my levels show I take 6 a day? Will I be okay an not look suspicious? I'd appreciate the help ..... ## This is exactly what I'm trying to find out!!! Who will...

My pain doctor gives me my precription for Norco for my 1st 30 day supply with 3 refills.I'm haivng my 2nd to the last one filled in the next day or so with one more refill left to e filled end of October/1st of November. I've been told that I won't be able to get that last refill without going BACK to me doctor because of the new law for prescription drugs. I was also told that the pharmacy issupposed to go ahead and fill the rest of my refills now, "Just this one time" in accordance with this new law. Is this TRUE? ## You will need to see your dr for Norco after Oct 6, 2014. Some pharmacies aren't doing refills after Oct 3 and other may refuse sooner. There is nothing in the new law regarding the just this one time. And it would be illegal for any pharmacy to g...

white oblong imprint TCL370. IS this used for pain?? kinda ## Hello, Reggie! How are you? This tablet is listed as containing Acetaminophen (250mgs), Aspirin (250mgs) and Caffeine (65mgs), it is a generic or store brand of Excedrin Migraine. The FDA classifies this medication as being an analgesic and its side effect may possibly include nausea, dizziness, stomach irritation, nervousness and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with?
I've been on soboxone for 3 years. I'm now having a bad bout of Colitis, Very painful. Day 5 off soboxone and my Percocets are still not breaking through? Help???? ## Because suborn is a blocker . You would of had to cut back on suboxin or actually quit all together to be effected by the pain killers . so there is nothing you can do about it honey you cannot take a handful of painkillers to override the Suboxonethats where stuff gets dangerous . Also suboxin was not made to ttake three years in a row . It was supposed to be used to get off of Hard drugs ween yourself down and be over. Now you may need a detox because of ' subs ' or you need to wean yourself darling honey that's what it supposed to be a little bit less every week until nothing
My son nearly 16 yrs suffers from viral fever 2/3 times a year and the body temperature goes above 102 deg. C. Everytime my house physician prescribe tab. Ceftas 200 mg twice daily and also paracetamol 650 mg. I want to know whether taking ceftas 200 everytime will result in ineffectiveness of the antibiotic in the near future? In that case how the fever will be cured? How to increase body resistance or immunity?

I have a prescription for Hydrocodone 10/325 written by my Michigan Pain Clinic Physician and I am on a 7 day vacation in Florida. I have the paper prescription with me to be filled in Florida. Am I going to be able to get that filled. ## Bryce Van Singel, it is doubtful, but you can try. If you use a chain pharmacy, go to that same store.
I used to get the yellow qualitest norcos but since the new laws the only thing available is the malli 357 or the Watson white. The yellow worked perfectly long lasting pain relief for my inoperable discs problems. The 357 make you really high feeling for 2-3 hours and then wear off, the Watson give me headaches. I tried to get the yellows again but my pharmacy says they are to expensive to order & not covered by insurance. But my low income friends on public assistance get them free how does that make sense? Thanks a lot for these crappie laws that took away our free choice. ## Medicaid receives rebates for the meds they cover in each state. It is your insurance company that won't cover the brand you want. It is also possible that in order for your insurance to cover a specific...
My script for hydrocodone was written by my doc in washington. I am currently in California, and they will not refill. Does Nevada or Idaho honor out of state scripts for same? ## Hello, Jerry! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Unfortunately, it's going to be very difficult to find a pharmacy that's willing to fill an out of state prescription. There are two reasons for this, the first being that it is much harder for them to validate the prescription to ensure that it's legitimate. The second reason is due to the fact that pharmacies are limited, by the DEA, in how much of any given controlled substance they can order in and stock each month. This means that most will only fill prescriptions for people that live locally. Many even require ...
Whats the difference between exalgo and opana and oxycontin? ## Hello, Dana! How are you? As listed by the FDA, all 3 of these narcotics contain a different active ingredient. Exalgo contains a time released formulation of Hydromorphone. Opana contains Oxymorphone and Oxycontin contains Oxycodone in a time released formulation. All are narcotics that carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation and dry mouth. Out of the 3, Exalgo is the strongest, next would be Opana, then Oxycontin. To give you a comparison, for each 5mg of Oxycontin, you'd only need 2.5mgs of Opana to be equivalent and 1.88mgs of Exalgo. Is there anything else I can help with?
I have been on morphine 60mg extended relief, 3x A day for about 10 years, I have recently noticed that it quit working as well as it did in the beginning so my doctor is going to switch me to oxycoton 30 mg extended relief am I going to go through withdraws because he is only giving me 30mg versus 60mg? I've been through morphine withdraw before and I do NOT want to EVER experience them again!! I am so SCARED!!! I also take 30mg roxys 3x A day for break through pain. ## Hello, Chere! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. Oxycodone is stronger than Morphine, but the correct conversion would actually be 40mgs of Oxycodone for each 60mgs of Morphine that you were taking. Thus yes, you may experience some withdrawal. Have you spoken to your doctor about your concern? The ...
I have been taken hydrocodone 10/325 up to 4 a day for several years now for chronic pain in my back and knees the hydro is not doing as good now as befor. The Dr changed me today to oxycodone 5-325 up to 4 a day. Can some please tell me how much of a difference it is going to be? Will I be able to tell the difference? I mean it looks the oxy is less mg. Can't seem to find a answer myself. Can I get some advise please? Thanks ## Hello, Georgia girl! How are you? I really can't say as to whether or not you will feel a difference, it really depends on your body. Oxycodone does work better for pain relief for some people, but not all. Additionally, the Hydrocodone is weaker, so you'd need 6.67mgs of Oxycodone to equal each 10mgs of the Hydrocodone that you were taking, so there...
For 6 yrs I've been on OxyContin from a back injury doc's cutting down my pills don't have enough too go for the month . Is there a docotor out there that could give me a stronger dose so that I don't have too take so many during the day?
