I'm in the process of switching my pain meds with doctors care, i was taking 80mg oxy twice daily with 40mg in afternoon that's total of 200mg a day with 5mg for breakthroughs pain every 4hrs. Doctor starting me out at 2mg dilaudid for break thru and reducing oxy , It doesn't seem to work as well, Can someone tell me how much dilaudid I would need to take as 12hr relief, along with 4mg or 8mg for breakthrough. This ex 20 is oxycotin 20 Mg made for Mexico generic for OC 20. ## I can also confirm that a round pink tablet imprinted EX on one side and 20 on the other side is a 20 mg OxyContin tablet made for export to Mexico prior to 2002. I hear that in Mexico they put EX on it and not OC. Does anyone here like this one in comparison to some of the US brands?

i am in very severe chronic pain.the pain is so intense and never ending.i have missing discs.in my neck lowe back.acompnied with.both knee caps shot.elbows,getting worse.bone spuring in multiple areas sciatica,avn.severe pain in boyh hips.my feet are a little numbpain is severe.feet allso swell alot.theres more.anyway after aprx 4 yrs of intense pain.i wasput on oxycontin 20mg x2and oxycodone 15mgx4 daily.after aprx 1 yr of these meds i was put on oxycodone.100mg daily.that med let me survive fairly ok.this new ?took me off the 100mg of oxycodone ir.daily.put me on 30mg er morphine.4 10mg oxycodone.my pain is really really bad now.i suffer bad 15 hrs of everyday.why do suspose to be drs,take you off a medication that works,and put us on bulls***? ## The only three choices I see are: 1)...

I have been on Oxycontin ER 80mg twice a day for almost 7 years and it has been moderately to sometimes completely effective in eliminating my chronic abdominal pain. However, there are times (1-2 times a week, or so) when I can't get the pain under control. Currently, I cut one of the pills in half, which I know I shouldn't do, but it does what I want it to. Considering the strength of the Oxy that I'm on, what would be a better alternative to what I've been doing? I was considering asking my DR for an Rx of OxycoDONE (same thing but faster acting) for the break through pain an, if I do, what strength should I ask for? jus wanted to know if this is a real oxy 80 mg markings are w80 on one side and oxy cr on the other side ## From what I've found reported by other users, it's listed as being an 80mg time released Oxycodone manufactured by Cobalt and available in Canada. 80 on one side and op on the other ## These tablets are not generics, they are the new Oxycontin OP, replacing the existing product from Purdue Pharma. They are specially designed to prevent abuse of the medication. Even if someone crushed them or chew them, they retain their time released properties. Can we order Canadian Oxycontin legally? I heard Canada and the rest of the world has Oxycontin under different names. ## Actually no, it isn't legal to do so. If there is an approved U.S. version of the same medication then it is not allowed. If you were staying in another country and it was prescribed for you there, you can bring up to 3 months worth of a medication back with you, as long as you have a legal prescription. I am prescribed Oxycontin 80Mg for my chronic pain but the new OP formulation does not work to control my pain like the Oxycontin OC's did the nee polymers that all of the new time release pills have to make them â€gunk up†are very hard on my stomach and often make me throw up because of my digestive problems so I do not get the same relief as I did before they changed the formula because the polymer they use doesn't get digested properly so it just gums up my stomach making me sick is there any pill out there that I can switch to that doesn't have this waxy polymer in it because the new OP's simply just make me sick and give me no relief whatsoever? I have been taking Cipralex/Lexamil 20mg for a number of years and would like to come off them. I am currently taking one every other day. I would like a tapering off plan as I am not sure how long it takes to come off them? I know its gradual but is it weeks or months? Thank you ## just keep slowly reducing you intake of the med. for each decrease in the amount of the dose say you want to go from 20 to 10, you will have to take about one to two months slowly decreasing the frequency when you take it. say you start with one day for two weeks then two days and so on until you get it down to taking only 5mg once a week then cut that in half and taper that off for about a month and then just stop altogether. There have been a lot of changes going on throughout the East coast and into the mid-west, due to rampant over-prescribing and drug abuse. Day 17 no oxy, detoxed without sub. Valium, clonidine , robaxin and a few others. When will I be normal again. I am good in the morning, by 1pm I am a jack ass and my legs hurt and everything pisses me off. can't crack a smile to save my life. ## So, you just stopped the Oxycodone, without tapering? That's pretty high of a dosage to do that with, even though you were only on it for four months. And to be honest, it may take 4 to 6 weeks, before you start to feel more normal and have less of those annoying symptoms. From my own experience stopping large doses of narcotics cold turkey after stopping pain management, I can tell you that it was about a month for the pain to ease up and about 6 to 8 weeks for the mental symptoms, such as irritability to ease off. I was just reading everything on the site about oxy's. I used to abuse them and have found myself finally unfortunately I had to get arrested in the process but went to rehab and came out a new found person. I know someone who currently uses them because of the pain he has in his knee ankle and heel from a motorcycle accident he was in and currently has rumetory arthritis (spelled that wrong lol) but you got the hint. He just went to pick up his script for 60 pills and Walgreens had him sitting there for over an hour because they always tell him he needs the pre-authorization which is always sent by the doctor before he even goes to pick them up. So need less to say......he sat there for over an hour and was then told that THEY ARE DISCONTINUING 40 AND 80 MGS OPS AND OCS ALTOGETHER....
