I suffer from terrible back pain. Tylenol just doesn't work anymore. Can anyone suggest something else? Please let me know. {edited for privacy} ## Hello, Vlad! How are you? I am very sorry that you're in pain. Have you had this checked out? It may be a problem that can be correct with treatment, so you are no longer in any pain. There is also a chance that it may worsen and not be treatable, if you just leave it go. The spine can be very touchy, so you shouldn't just leave it go and try to treat it with pain medications. ## Checked what out? ## Hi, Vlad! Have u had your back checked out by a doctor 2 c if there's a reason 4 this pain? ## Any suggestions on how to help this pain? ## What pain meds work the best? ## Nothing has seemed to work. On oxycontin 80 mg. twice a day. Ran out but need dr. to write rx. But need ins. to cover it. ## From what I understand, that it is usually going to be based on your doctor's discretion as far as trying to convince him/her to write you a script early. So that's really only something you can speak with your doctor about if you've built any sort of trust within your patient/doctor relationship. You can always just be upfront and honest about how your increased use of oxycontin. But just so this never happens again, you should always take your medication as prescribed and nothing more. Otherwise you'll just keep repeating the cycle and digging a deeper hole. As far as your insurance is concerned, I believe someone in another thread had recently mentioned that most scripts h...

All you have to do is input your city or zip code for narrowed results: {link removed because site no longer exists} You can give this other page a try too if you come up with different results for some reason or another: wellness.com/find/pain%20management%20specialist Many of the results you find (in one or both of the links above) also list a phone number for that specific doctor; I...
I've got the oxycontin cr c 11 80mg. They come in a package of 10 with bubble push through. They are forest green and oval but have no markings at all. I was told there are no markings because they are generic and sold to hospitals. Does anyone out there have information about this? Please help, in severe pain. Thanks to all. ## Hospitals get their medications from the same sources as pharmacies, so they also have markings on them. If you've been given tablets that don't have any markings, then they are not a legal U.S. approved Oxycontin. The only Oxycontin tablets available here to be used anywhere are the name brand, which all have markings on them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizzin...
this pill i found is yellow, oval.says p on 1 side an 40 on the other,my friend thinks it is a generic oxycontin ## Hello, Kevin! How are you? No, your friend has the imprint correct, but not the shape, that tablet is round. I think what you've found is a delayed release 40mg Pantoprazole tablet, which is a proton pump inhibitor that's used to reduce the amount of acid produced by the stomach to treat or prevent conditions such as GERD, heartburn, ulcers and gastritis. Can anyone confirm this?
I want to know what the pill is for, specifically. Part of the pills coating has been peeled off . What I can see is: IP40 0r OP40. ## Hello, Tracy! How are you? What color is it? If it's a yellowish color, you may have found a 40mg Oxycontin tablet. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
I have been prescribed oxycontin 15mg ER every 12 hours for femoral aseptic necrosis. My femur is literally dying and disintegrating inside me because of 20 years on prednisone for a congenital endocrine disorder. I'm only 25, so these past three months have been the first time I've ever really been on regular painkillers I've finally agreed to have surgery after trying everything to avoid it. In the meantime, my doctor has prescribed oxycontin to manage my pain but I'm having some weird side effects- total loss of appetite, shakes, hot flashes. It's also making me lock my jaw and clench my teeth to the point where my whole face hurts. Has anyone else experienced this side effect? And if so is there anything that can be done to mitigate it? This is the first medicati...
If I take 2 of the 30 mg oxycodone and I have the 60 mg oxycontin. Can you cut a 60 mg oxycontin in half and take it that way to get the immediate effect you get with taking 2 of the 30 mg oxycodone. I have to mail order my medications and there was a mix up and I have been taking for 15 years for chronic pain. Just trying to get by without going 2 hours to my dr to get a written script and then it would mess up my scripts again!! Thanks for the help. ## Hello, Susie! How are you? No, the new Oxycontin are actually tamper proof, so they prevent anyone from being able to do that. If you cut them up, you will just get a ball of goo that still releases the medication just as it should. However, there could also still be a risk of getting too much, at once, and suffering an overdose. This i...
my urine test showed i have hydrocodone but i do not take that i take oxycontin 30mg oxycodone 15mg xanax 1mg temazepam 30mg for sleep. remeron 30mg for depression and over the counter tylenol cold and flu nyquil azithromycin antibiotic250mg baclofen 20mg for muscle spasams in back been through 6 failed lower back ops. OUCH!!! please help answer my ? ## A standard urine test tests for Opiates or narcotics which includes oxycodone, oxycontin, as well as hydrocodone. So when they told you that you tested positive for hydrocodone, they likely meant narcotics. Another possibility is that hydrocodone contains different amounts of Tylenol, anywhere from 325mg to 1000mg. The test, if sensitive, could have shown the huge amount of Tylenol you're taking and the narcotic- if I understood you ...
Cut oxycontin green tab with 80 imprint in four halves is this safe or too much? ## Hello, Nina! How are you? No, you cannot cut these tablets. These are time released and doing so could cause you to get too much of the medication, at once, which may result in overdose. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
trying to find out what CR TA means.I have been prescribed OXYCONTIN 20MG CR TA twice daily and OXYCODONE 5MG three daily and TIZANIDINE 4MG daily. what are the effects from this if I take as prescribed. And what does CR TA stand for. ## CR TA stands for controlled release tablets, it just designates that you're to get Oxycontin, which is time released. The side effects of Oxycodone may include: nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and constipation. I snorted half a roxy 30 last night and got a random drug test at work this morning. It was a oral eze test and said it tested for amph., cociane, methamph., opiates(codeine, hydrocodone, hydromorphones, heroin), thc(pot) and pcp. Will the roxy show up on the test? ## Yes ## Actually, if you go to the oral ez website it tells you that their 6 panel oxycodone test will NOT test for this. Roxycotin is oxycodone. ## Roxy shows up as an opiate
I was receiving Oxycontin 80mg OC, but then they changed it to the reformulated Oxycontin 80mg OP. I never had a problem with the old version BUT now i get right side cramping. Is this because new version is not made properly? ## every 1 that gets the new oc should complain so much they hav to go back to the old 1s ## I am NOT getting the same pain relief with these new pills. And I've noted a change in 'digestion' issues. Is the gummy junk in these little hockey puck pills clogging up our insides? ## reformulatated oxycontin has something very wrong with it it makes me feel like i want to hurt myself or others very aggitated frustratecrying snaping at everyone i have been on this a very long time never felt like this until taking the reformulated oxycontin. does anyone elsf...
My pain is so strong that the pain clinic change my meds from 10mg oxycontin 2 per day & oxycodone 5mg 4 per day to oxycontin 15mg 2 per day & oxycodo ## Hello, Karren! How are you? I'm sorry, but it doesn't seem that all of your post was received. Can you please post back and clarify? Thanks! This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## My pain is so strong that the pain clinic change my meds from 10mg oxycontin 2 per day & oxycodone 5mg 4 per day to oxycontin 15mg 2 per day & oxycodone. With the oxycontin 5mgs stronger but the dosage of 5mg oxycodone dropped to 2 per day, isn't that the same strength or does it become stronger than ...
