what pharmacy carries ethex brand generic oxycontin? ## There is no generic Oxycontin, to prevent abuse and diversion, Oxycontin is only available as the brand name made by Purdue. Ethex does make a generic of the regular release formulation, the name brand for it would be Roxicodone. It contains the same active ingredient, but it is not time released and it is not available in an 80mg dosage. Do you have any questions? ## i didn't ask if it exists or not,,,IT EXISTS. ethex is paying royalties to purdue to distribute the old formula of ocs. apotex is doing the same thing, i'm wondering where BESIDES WALGREENS can you get these GENERIC OXYS? THAT IS THE QUESTION. THEY DO EXIST AND THEY ARE ONLY $10.41 EACH. THEY ARE NOT LEFT OVER. THE PATENT EXPIRED ON THE 20'S, 40'S AND ...
This has nothing to do with drug abuse! Or Harm prevention! And everything to do with the drug company wanting to keep their monopoly on the pharmaceutical drug market.... They are about to loose there patent on oxycontin in Australia so they introduce oxycontin reformulation which gives them a patent for the next 8 year's and push of the original to be band..... Once again they own that part of the market by being the only one's that can make it..... This is exactly what they did when there original oxycontin patent ran out in america.... THIS SHOULD BE ILLEGAL AND THEY SHOULD BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE FOR ANY ONE THAT GETS HARMED IN THIS PROCESS!! As this does more harm and is very dangerous.... They didn't just make something you cannot dissolve in water! This stuff cause's an
Updatedjust wondering. Anyone heard if the generic 80ER MG. Is coming back in January of 2014?I can't find any news on it.Please reply. I'm broke! ## Hellom Mzmarty! How are you? And no, the government is not allowing any generics to be released any time soon. They were removed from the market in order to make it easier to keep track of the supply, since this medication is so frequently abused and, at this time, there are no plans to change this. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you for the info. If you hear of any changes please let me know. I am sooooo broke. Paying over $5000.00 a year on meds is crazy. I hate this, I have dipped in my retirement money too many times. I don't know what I am going to do. Thanks again Mamarty. p.s. I wish you the best. ## I will have to pay $2100 ...
I have been on a combination of oxycontin and cortisone for 8 years. I've always taken them as directed and never missed my medication. I've only had 2 doctors in 10 years that prescribed my medication. Unfortunately I need a new doctor now and don't know who to see. I feel like doctors are punishing me for being on these medications, but they have worked very well with no side effects for 8 years. Without them I would be much, much less active I will never be pain free but these medications make my neuropathy, arthritis and osteoporosis manageable. I also have liver issues so I am limited with medications. Please let me know if anyone can help. I'm located east of the city. Thank You Denise. {edited for privacy} ## Hello, Denise! How are you doing? I'm very sorry tha...
I am prescribed two 10mg oxycontins and two 10mg oxycodones a day. i ran out early so my cousin gave me a 40mg oxycontin. i was wondering, will the level in the urine screen come up the same since i normally take 40mg all together in a day and i will have taken 1 40mg pill the day before my appt? ## oh and the oxcontin i normally take is 12hrs apart and the oxycodone is anywhere in between the oxycontins
If a dr sends out the urine sample to a lab, does that mean he is checking the levels? I have a lot of health problems and one of them is fibromyalgia and it causes a lot of pain. Between that and my other health problems I've been flaring up A LOT because my dr I just started seeing doesn't believe in fibromyalgia so decided to wean me down and off of pain medications. I am now on oxycontin and oxycodone, both 10mg. I ran out early bc I was flaring up so bad so I had to take extra. My cousin gave me 1 of his 40mg oxycontins and now I'm worried that the level is going to show up higher than it should. Could i tell him that I took extra pills the day before and if he checks the levels, that make sense to him why it's so high?

I'm taking the 15mg extended release OxyContin for severe back pain and degenerative disc disease as I was switched from 10 mg 10/325 Percocet BUT the switch is not working for me, I have not been getting relief and am still in pain, is this normal? My Dr is giving me a hard time now about writing me the prescriptions and has literally ignored my diagnosis as she claims the state of Vermont is cracking down on these types of meds... Which what the hell does that have to do with me? I'm taking them for the massive constant pain I'm in and still can't even work back to full time yet... So basically I'm being pushed aside as because I told her being my Dr, that it's not working and why can't I take the meds 10/325 Percocet that were working better for my pain th...
Updateddoes the oxycontin dissolve in the stomach or the bowls ## I tried searching around for information on this but haven't come across anything explaining where it's metabolized, only how it's metabolized. It's a simple question you ask, but very difficult to find reliable information on. In terms of drug testing, Oxycodone is excreted through the urinary tract. Whether or not or it broken down first by the stomach or bowels is beyond my knowledge of the drug. I would think however that it is dissolved in the stomach acid, the same way most foods and drinks are metabolized, before they are discarded as waste. Just my opinion. Does anyone else have any information to add on this subject? ## Only that this medication is not nearly as effective. I think the time release mechan...
Is this pill MS cotin or OxyContin , it is small dark blue M on one side , no square around it and 15 on other side ## Hi Eli, Based on your description, the closest match I'm currently finding is a round blue pill marked with an "M" on one side and "MS" over "15" on the other side. This happens to be the only round blue pill I could locate that doesn't have a square around the "M"; so I can only assume that this is the correct match. The pill itself is identified as a 15mg Morphine Sulfate extended release tablet (also known as MS-Contin); which is used in the treatment of moderate to severe pain. For your own verification, the manufacturer is listed as Mylan Pharma, and it has a National Drug Code of 00378-2658. You can learn more about this dru...
How Long Does It Take To Kick in? ## Hi Crps sucks, it shouldn't take any longer than 15-30 minutes. Unless u have a tolerance 2 them. Then it could take a little longer. Have u taken them b 4? Or on a regular basis? ## From what I've read online, 15 to 30 minutes is a good rough estimate... Although timing can also vary some depending on your own body, as well as if you've recently eaten something. I'd also like to add that the maximum/peak concentration of oxycontin is generally found in the bloodstream at about one hour after ingestion. Keeping in mind that this is a time-released formula, it probably won't have much of an immediate effect like the standard oxycodone would, if you're used to having those. I hope this helps! Are there any other questions?
Pink round pill, blank on one side, straight line on the other ## Hello, Sue! How are you? If it has no imprint, then it is not an Oxycontin tablet, because they all have imprints to enable their identification. Thus, it is most likely just an over the counter product. Does anyone recognize this tablet?
is there injection form of this pill and what would happen if you did inject it? ## Hello, Fancy! How are you? There is a liquid that is formulated for such use. It isn't safe to do that with pills, since they contain fillers and excipients that may cause blockages. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?
Hi guys! I'm suffering, even confined to bed rest when sx are uncontrolled, from severe systemic scleroderma, that b* tch of an autoimmune connective tissue disease that has crippled my body and stolen my life. I take around 5 OxyContins a day, depending upon the severity of my sx that respective day, with Norcos usually 4-6/day for breakthrough immediate pain relief, and Xanax prn for anxiety and am paying $500/visit plus the amount for my prescriptions every visit. I'm too sick to even endure the most physically inactive jobs nor do I have insurance, thus looking for ANY help proffered regarding any physicians y'all may suggest that treat pain, do not harbor any stigma in prescribing such intense, scheduled pain meds, and would be less financially taxing than that of my cu...
my friend has gallbladder cancer and is given a narc pill made by teva which does not agree with her. She cannot find the name of it, and is too emotional to act clearly. Can you tell me what it could be? It is a long acting drug, said to be some kind of -contin. Thanks. ## Cancer patients are normally given oxycontin. It can have nasty side effects. Some options are morphine or methadone. They have their own side effects. Or try another manufacturer. All brands are different. ## Hello, Anne! What does she mean that it doesn't agree with her? What type of symptoms is she experiencing? There is Oxycontin, MS Contin and Hydromorphcontin, so it could be any one of the 3! All of them can cause nausea, dizziness and GI issues. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be h...
My doc wants me on oxycontin and I want off so I can regulate my intake and wean down. He says you can wean off long acting. I need a doc who will write short term . Had 12 hr surgery on my neck. Fused from c2-t2, with 16 bolts and rods down the back ## Hello, Danielle! How are you? I am very sorry that you're in pain! Have you asked your doctor to just refer you to someone? That would actually be the easiest way to find the help you need. Few places have openings for new patients that just call, right now, because they've been inundated with them due to the changed in regulations. And no, you can't really wean off of the long active medication, that easily. It's usually done with the short acting. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming...

I guess I will jluave to wait and see if u can't get anywhere wot luck do we have? ## Have you tried the regular release Oxycodone tablets? They may work better for you! This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Or you could look into trying a different medication, altogether.
Does oxicontin 40mg has side effect I'm taking it now and how can I stop taking it does have any withdraws please advise ## Dear Rv, yes there r withdrawals from OxyContin. OxyContin is a opiate narcotic. It depends on how long u have been on them and how many u take. That will decide how bad the withdrawals will b and how long they may last. I was on Oxys 4 almost 10 years and had 2 go on suboxone due 2 bad withdrawals and pain due 2 medical problems. ## All medications carry the risk of causing side effects, even over the counter products. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. And Cats68 has covered the withdrawal aspect. Are there any other questions ...
