i need to know if the 50 pounds i gained while i was on methadone will come off now that i have switched to suboxone ## yes !!!! ## no ## I gained that much on methadone also. I'm so aware of the returning withdrawal symptoms since I dropped down from 1/2 strip to 1/4 strip of Suboxone. Is it the closer you get to being done with the Subs the stronger the withdrawal symptoms occur? I've been on the 1/4 strip for 8 days now. I haven't been able to sleep, constant turning, weird leg feelings. I don't want to go up a 1/4 as I need off of it! I've been on this crap since end of Feb. when I was detoxed from Fentanyl 25 mcg and Percocet. These were prescribed, after numerous surgeries since 2005. Been on suboxone for a while now. 8mg per day. Ran out Friday and got some 15 mg morphine tabs. Took 15 of them over the last 2 days. Took the last 1 at 6 am today. I got a subutex and have never used before. How long do I need to wait to start the subutex. I'll have my script of suboxone in 2 days. ## I believe subutex doesn't have a reaction to the morphine because it has no nalaxone (the opiate antagonist) in suboxone. I am on methadone maintenance took a saliva drug test and didnt want to test positive for meth. put water on the test will it come back inconclusive and be given another test? ## Anyone trying to pass cheek tests in methadone clinic just have to hold it between teeth and try not to get saliva on it but be careful bc if u do this they will retest u in a few days, bc even tho u passed for other drugs u also passed and show no methadone in ur system which will make them retest u in a few days. I was put on pain management years ago. I've had many of surgeries and have pelvic neuralgia , bulging discs at L5 and S1, spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease and bi-lateral neuralgia. I became addictive 2 the pain meds. And went on methadone. I was on (110) mg. a day. Once I got down 2 (24)mg. I was in such bad w/d I went 2 my Dr. In tears. I found a dark purple and black capsule in my boyfriend's drawer. I opened it up and found white power. I tried to look up the capsule online but there are no markings on it. However, I did find an online wholesale site in China that sells the same exact (empty) capsules. My question is, what could the substance that was crushed and put in the capsule be? He does have a history of opiate addiction and is supposed to be on subs. I saw him take it right before bed and minutes later he was half sleeping/snoring and half awake. It's obviously a downer but what?

Hi, my name is Rebecca. I have been using opiates for about 3 years now, but I've only been addicted to opiates for a year now. I say opiates but I go back and forth between opiates and suboxone. For the past year I have been using suboxone almost everyday(supplied by boyfriend) and he does it too. I've been sick for many days unable to keep anything down. I'm prescribed 120mg of liquid methadone daily. Is it safe to take it as a suppository? ## It will work if you take it that way but be wary of it's onset of action and available medication in the blood stream. Meds given rectally are absorbed much faster than orally. If you must take it this way I would not take the full dose until you know what the effects will be. Always discuss this with the prescribing MD.

I am trying to recover fro, opiate addiction. I see a doctor in Pittsburgh PA Subutex or generic name buprenorphine but I live in WV I am not able to find a pharmacy that will fill my script. I have called several pharmacy's and have been told that they are no longer taking any new subutex prescriptions or that they will not fill any controlled substance scripts for people that live in WV. Can anyone let me know where I can find a pharmacy in or around Pittsburgh, Washington, Waynesburg, Pennsylvania or surrounding area? Thanks in advance :)

I live over 70 miles from any methadone clinic. I'm in rural Pahrump, a city with zero treatment options. I'm waiting on a hip replacement. Everything hurts so much right now. Only my husband is working but I have to drive since he has no license. He can't miss work in the morning and my clinic closes at 11:30 so we are loosing his hours at work paying about 20$ a day in gas and I hurt so bad after this I can only drive us to the clinic every other day. I've chosen to stop this ride looking for a legit Dr that will stay in practice. So I've, very painstakingly got myself down from 3 morphine 60mg and 3 oxycodone a day to roughly 5 mg broken oxycontin. I have sub's. When can I take it? I don't get nausea, but I've got the headache, the neverendind crawling goose flesh right now. Sweating like... Well you know. I took a fraction of a piece after about 4 hours and an oxycontin 80 cut into 8 pieces then cut again in half. So roughly 5mg. I was an opiate addict for numerous different years and I went to inpatient and outpatient rehab but they never gave me suboxone. The second I got out of rehab I did more opiates, and I did them for another year or so and I tried suboxone and that is what I stuck with. Well it is getting very expensive and I was not getting myself off it very good and now I am pretty much addicted to that. If I can't find suboxone I usually find another opiate to take. My main question is, if I go to an outpatient rehab, is there anyway I could still get suboxone? I want to get off suboxone and other opiates and I do believe this would be the way to do it. I have been taking Zubsolv 5.7-1.4MG twice a day for 3 years now. I'm about to have surgery and will be prescribed 10mg Percocets. How long do I need to wait for the Zubsolv to get out of my system before I can take the Percocets? I've read it only takes 24 to 48 hours for the Zubsolv to be out of my system but is that still true for someone who has been taking it twice a day for 3 years? ## Usually, it's about 72 hours, before other opiates will work for you, again. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Can I have a tooth extracted if I'm using subutex? Will the local anaesthetic still work okay? Regards, Dave ## It should, since there is nothing in Subutex to neutralize it. The anesthetic used by dentists is not a narcotic and the Subutex doesn't contain Naloxone, anyway. However, I'd suggest making sure the dentist knows you're taking it, just to be on the safe side. I've been on a hundred and 20 milligrams of methadone for about a year now I'm currently also taking 15 milligrams twice a day of long-acting morphine and a PRN 15 milligram short-acting morphine every 6 hours my methadone clinic is making me taper off the methadone to go on pain management so right now I'm on 60 milligrams of methadone going down every week 10 milligrams is it safe for me to take suboxone once I've completely gotten off the methadone even though I'm going to still be on morphine. Hello. I have been on suboxone maintenance for about seven years and recently I was switched to zubsolv due to insurance reasons. My past 2 urine results since being switched have been positive for opiates! However I have not taken any opiates in over five years since my last relapse. I have not taken any cold medicine's or anything else over the counter, nor have I eaten anything containing poppy seeds. I have spent the last week trying to figure out how this could have happened (not once but twice in a row) researching information. I am having trouble with the switch,not sleeping,eating,feel anxious,like I have taken 8000mg caffeine. It does help the pain but the side effects are so unpleasant.
