Zubsolv Positive Opiate Urine Result
UpdatedHello. I have been on suboxone maintenance for about seven years and recently I was switched to zubsolv due to insurance reasons. My past 2 urine results since being switched have been positive for opiates! However I have not taken any opiates in over five years since my last relapse. I have not taken any cold medicine's or anything else over the counter, nor have I eaten anything containing poppy seeds. I have spent the last week trying to figure out how this could have happened (not once but twice in a row) researching information. Here is what I have found so far - Apparently when u take zubsolv there is an amount of this that you are swallowing, therefore not being metabolized in your body the way it should be; causing a positive opiate result. I do take my dose on the drive to my program so I do not have to speak while dissolving it. I have also heard that taking it right before a test could influence the results as well. Can someone please tell me if there is anything else that could cause a positive result? And am I correct so far about the whole bit about swallowing some of it and it not metabolizing? Luckily I have a track record of honesty with my program so they believe I am not using but this still bothers me. I want very much to clear my name. being a former addict I have been guilty so many times in the past that when I am innocent it makes me crazy and I must prove my innocence! Can anyone please shed some light on this for me?
