Methadone Maintance And Saliva Drug Test

I am on methadone maintenance took a saliva drug test and didnt want to test positive for meth. put water on the test will it come back inconclusive and be given another test?

Anyone trying to pass cheek tests in methadone clinic just have to hold it between teeth and try not to get saliva on it but be careful bc if u do this they will retest u in a few days, bc even tho u passed for other drugs u also passed and show no methadone in ur system which will make them retest u in a few days. It's good if u only needed to pass that one test bc maybe u did coke or benzos the days before but if u keep passing and showing no methadone they can and will discharge u.

Okay so I go to the clinic and I've been prescribed Klonopin since I was 11 years old for severe panic disorder. I've only been going to the clinic for about 4 years I'm 28 years old. I have 4 Kids and a husband and I extremely normal life except for going to the clinic I was put on pain pills for surgeries became addicted went down a nasty word for a little while start at the clinic got my life back in order. Then all of a sudden the DEA changes all the rules and says if you are prescribed benzodiazepines you have to be on only 80 milligrams. That is half of my dose. So I told my primary care physician to stop prescribing the Klonopins and since then I've only taken my Klonopins when I've had really severe panic attacks. So I'm going on vacation on the 18th and I failed a drug screen recently for my benzos because they started doing mouth swabs instead of urine drug screens I always pass my urine drug screens because I don't take a lot I only take one 1 milligram if I'm having a bad panic attack. When they started the saliva test I guess it had a bigger detection window and I failed one this was 3 months ago. Since we're going on vacation and I'm a level 5 I need to get an exception for 4 extra days that would be 9 days total because I pick up on Thursday we leave on Saturday we're coming back that next Saturday and I'll go back to the clinic on that Monday. Anyways two days before I went to the clinic this past week I was at work I work at a doctor's office and I was having a massive panic attack. So I took 1 Klonopin at 3 o'clock that afternoon. The next day I did not take anything at all and then the next day I go to the clinic and Bam my random for the month on the 2nd day of the month. So I put some water in my mouth hoping that it would dilute the test but what I'm afraid of is that it will dilute it so much that my methadone not show up and I will have a failed drug screen and my exception won't be approved and I won't be able to go on vacation. I know this sounds like the least of most people's worries because most people are just worried about staying clean and finding a place to live and getting back on their feet but my mother-in-law is going with us and she knows nothing about me going to the clinic and if I can't go she's probably going to find out. There is not a clinic within 2 hours of wear we are going to be staying so I can't guest dose. So basically my question is and I'm sorry for that long drawn-out explanation. I want to know if I maybe could have had enough saliva with the water to make my methadone show up? I did put it in my mouth and then put the test strip in my mouth so it had to have gotten a little bit of saliva on it. I am so scared if you could answer some time quickly that would be great thank you in advance for your reply.

I know this is from last summer but I wonder how it worked out for u? Your situation sounds EXACTLY like mine! I'm in the same boat as far as having my life together, doing good, ect. But I have those panic attacks as well. I must be confused though bc as far as I know no one is allowed to take any sort of benzos with methadone vc they have deadly interactions. My clinic doesn't allow it and they r all federally mandated so it should be the same at all clinics. Basically I wonder because I am trying to find a good medication that will treat my panic attacks and also is allowed through the clinic. I have been on Prozac and various other antidepressants and none of them seem to work at all I still have anxiety attacks. I need something that I only take at the onset of an attack. But I am having problems finding something that will work that is allowed at the clinic. I do wonder how your test came out last summer and if you are allowed to go on vacation. I hope you are still doing well from one addict to another
