My name is ryan. I live in Warner robins ga and I am desperate need of a doctor jn my area who will be willing to prescribe me buprenorphine without the naloxone in it. It's called subutex. I have been on Suboxone for a long time and I have no insurance and low income and i have two kids that I support. I know subutex is way cheaper than Suboxone and I need the cheapest I can get. Thank you ## Hello, Ryan! How are you? Unfortunately, the new directives from the DEA tell them not to do so, unless it's a woman who's pregnant, or someone with a verified allergy to Naloxone. Thus, most doctors are going to refuse the switch. The FDA classifies this medication as an opiate, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsine...

I'm in agony! I can't keep taking adderall and methadone, it's starting to make me feel irritated. I hate having to be on something. I just want to feel normal again without relying on pills. I'm terrified of coming off of these pills. Please if you or anyone has any advice or help for making it easier, anything I'd be very grateful. ## Hello, Nicole! How are you? What doses are you taking and how often? Both of these medications are listed by the FDA as having the possibility of being habit forming, which means that too rapid of a withdrawal could cause some miserable withdrawal effects, such as nausea, fever/chills, diarrhea, rebound pain, insomnia and irritability. Thus, a slow taper would be best. Have you spoken to your doctor about getting off of them? Having m...

I have been on Zubsolv, Suboxone, of all doses, for years now. I have reached the point to where my Zubsolv will take literally hours to dissolve and once it finally does dissolve to some extent..enough for me to swallow at least, I have no way of getting it to completely dissolve. So I have to eat with the medicine still very much still in my mouth and throat. Despite using extra water, to try and help the process along, etc. This takes up a great deal of my mornings. Plus I have crohns disease and have much difficulty swallowing in the first place. So I'm simply unable to get anything down. All the way or even more than just past my throat. I have diarrhea as well with this medication and have had many bowel blockages that I have no doubt are due in part to the way the swallowed Z...

I just took this pill from sun pharmacies and it had this mint like burn to it... If u are not allergic to suboxone can u be allregic to this pill?? Or is it the same medicine so if one is one way that is same for the other pill... I get bad anxiety bad and i have allergies but subs/seputecs have been fine for years just help me put my conscious at ease... ## It might just be due to an inactive ingredient in it, since they can vary from manufacturer to manufacturer, or it could be due to not following it with enough liquid, according to NIH reports. They also warn that it could cause acid reflux. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, and dry mouth. Have you taken more of them? If ...

I Have my Dr's appointment today and I smoked marijuana for the last 2 weeks. Can I use quick fix plus synthetic urine and just add methadone to it? Would that work? I know he makes me pay $42 for a drug test without insurance and that the plastic cup doesn't have a temp gauge on it and I see other people's cups of pee sitting in his office so I'm guessing he doesn't send to a lab. Please any input wud be greatly appreciated. My appointment is in a few hours. ## The test show if u use synthetic urine, the only thing u can is ask someone ur close to use there urine and warm it up a little in microvave for 20 seconds. I do it every month ## You can't add methadone straight to urine of any kind as it needs to break down a specific way in your body. i don't know ...

I have been going to a methadone clinic for over a year now, but i have been on pain killers for the past ten years of my life. I am now on a dose of 170 per day but I still experince withdrawl symptoms 12 hours after taking my dose. I take clondine at night to try to curve the symptoms but all that seems to do is make my blood pressure drop to much and i go to sleep for an hour or two and then wake up still feeling the withdrawl symtoms. I started taking Vitadone about a month ago to see if it would help but still notice no difference. I think my probelm may be I need to split dose my methadone but my clinic refuses to let me be dosed that way even though other clinics in neghboring cities do split dosing for thier patients. My counslur is now trying to not let me recieve any more incr...

I started Suboxone four days ago. I am taking a whole 8 mg Suboxone twice a day. I also take 45 mg of Adderall a day for ADD and I need the Adderall because I am a college student. Is it harmful to take them together? The Suboxone has done excellent for me, and has kept the Oxycontin out of my mind. I got addicted to tabs when I was playing college baseball in order to play through two broken fingers and bum shoulder. So instead of doing a gut check time dealing with the pain through an ice bucket or taking some time off to heal up, because I was just a freshman and I was battling it out for starting spot with a all-conference senior. I became immune to the tabs, so a player introduced me to Oxycontin. I was taking 80 mg a day. This continued into the fall season of my sophomore year un...

Im getting suboxone from one dr. And xanax from my pcp. Well sub dr. Doesn't allow it. Ive suffered with anxiety and panic attacks for 30yrs. ## Most doctors that treat with Suboxone are not going to allow it, since Xanax is very commonly abused and can be habit forming. And a doctor that treats with Suboxone can't prescribed Xanax, under the new regulations that were put in place last year. You'd actually need to see another specialist, most likely a Psychiatrist. These medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, irritability and headache. What else have you tried to treat your anxiety and panic attacks? There are non-habit forming options, such as SSRI antidepressants. ## I am looking for a new pcp can...

My friend was on 8mg of Suboxone for 8 years. Her doctor cut her back to 2.5mg on the last week and then cut her off due to Methadone use as well. My friend had taken pills during the duration of the Suboxone and also takes Methadone. What can I do to help her with withdrawal like symptoms, or what should I look for? ## In this situation it sounds as though one of the best things you could do for your friend is assist her in seeking some sort of substance abuse treatment. As far as symptom monitoring I would note anything indicative of w/d such as diarrhea, vomiting, insomnia, back pain, headache, irritability, restlessness, anxiety, sweating and the like. In her case I would also watch out for possible overdose should she get her hands on some drugs; pin-point pupils, shallow or no bre...

MY HUSBAND HAS BLADDER CANCER AND WAS PRESCRIBED 20 MG OF METHADONE EVERY MORNING. HE WAS ALSO GIVEN MORPHIN SULFATE 60 MGS TWICE A DAY. HOW SHOULD THESE MEDICINES BE TAKEN? ## Debra, i dont know why his dr. prescribed both Methadone and Morphine. The Methadone is known to block or cancel out the effects of the Morphine. ## i take 30mg 6 times aday plus 135mg of methadone a day for stomach cancer pain is it safe what are the dangers ## First of all methadone is not a blocker. People mistake it for suboxone because they are both used in opiate withdraw treatment. They first made methadone in world war II...when China cut Germany off from poppy trade. Hitler had his science goons make somthing to substitute opiate pain killers and Bam methadone is born. First used as a pain killer for man...

I've been swallowing my 8mg butrans (buprenorphine) sl tabs instead of taking sublingually because it tastes horrible. It's for pain and not addiction. What can I do to help with the gross taste? I realize I haven't gotten the full effect bc of not taking it as prescribed. ## You'll still get the full effect, it will just take a little longer than if you had dissolved them sublingually. The FDA warns that Buprenorphine carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Ref: Buprenorphine Information As long as you realize that it will take a little longer to enter your system, there is no harm in swallowing them, rather than letting them dissolve in your mouth. Is there anything else I ca...

I've been prescribed buprenorphine for long acting pain management as well as Medication Assisted Treatment for 3 years in Palm Beach county Florida. I've always filled my prescriptions at Publix Pharmacy. I have 1 and 1/2 weeks left before I can refill. But Publix, all of them are saying their distributors are all out of stock. I've asked my pharmacist if this is normal, I was told no. I asked if he could find out quickly if this was permanent and he said he'd call both distributors to find out. Now, a week later, he's being evasive and says he hasn't gotten an answer. If I run out I could relapse, and I've been clean and sober for more than 8 years. I'm scared to death. Does anyone have any answers? ## Unfortunately, each month, every pharmacy is given ...

Does anyone knows if taking Phentermine (diet pill) and Suboxone is harmful in anyway? ## I'm not finding any contraindications listed that states they cannot be used together. However, this site is not medical professionals, so you should check with your doctor or pharmacist to be on the safe side. Is your doctor aware that you are taking both? ## No problem taking the two together. I have been on Suboxone for two years, and my doctor just started me on Phentermine. Also, I checked with the pharmacist before filling. If you have heart trouble or very high blood pressure, you should be monitored however. ## I know this question is old, but for anyone who may be looking for the answer. Yes you can take suboxone & phentermine together. Ive gained 45lbs on the suboxone & I have...

So for a couple years now my Roxane/westward/hikma pills have been super inconsistent or just flat out felt like 2mgs instead of 8mgs. Sometimes they work sometimes they do almost nothing. It started in about the end of 2015. I think i was taking them before 2015 but never looked at the brand until i started having withdrawals out of nowhere. It was like a completely different med. So for almost 2 years i have been having issues. I'm fed up and i have changed brands but always only had partial fills and back to the roxane/westward/hikma brand. Anyone else notice any differences in this brand? ## Hello, This definitely sounds like a problem! Every generic is supposed to stay within an error window of 20% of the brand name drug so going through withdraws is absolutely a problem. Just ...

I took 4mg suboxone at 9am this morning and have never taking them before. Can I take a Percocet tonight and still get pain relief? ## People often get confused very easily about this. As an addict who used opiates for about 10 years and now on suboxone for 2 years, and having gone to over 15 rehabs and countless suboxone doctors I have a bit of knowledge on this issue. If you take a suboxone and immediately after try to do opiates, YOU WILL NOT GO INTO WITHDRAWAL. you will just not feel the effects of the opiates because of the blocker. Now if you do it the opposite way, if you do opiates and immediately take your suboxone (you have to wait at the very least 12-24 hours to take it), then you will go into immediate withdrawal and believe me, it is TORTURE! Ask any doctor or anybody who ...

I wet to my doc 7 days early because of running out early. I took my new script to pharmacy and said, this is early so I won't be using insurance. My doc said you can call him if necessary. Well no one wanted to. They filled two per day for three days. On the third day I asked to fill the rest on insurance for the next day. I was one day early. When I called the next morning to have my daily two filled the pharmacy manager said no we won't be filling it for another 5 days. Go to the ER for your withdrawals but don't come here because I won't give it to you. Has this happened to anyone else???? ## If you run out of suboxone too soon- you might need to increase your dose? That way you won't have to worry about being out of it too soon. I was on 120 mg of methadone for 8 years straight with no relapse, so I decided to quit it. I got down to 110mg and had the weekend take home so i have been taking half of a half of 5mg and now I'm out. That was 1 week ago and yesterday when i ran out of the 5 mg I started to feel sick. I've taken 80 mg liquid Methadone for six years. This is my second attempt to kick this devil off my shoulder. I tapered myself down over a two week period and took my last dose two weeks ago. It hasn't been nearly as hard as quitting cold turkey, yet it has still been hell. When will I feel myself again and what are the effects of long term use? ## HI! Sorry about the problems that you're having. How are you feeling today? With Methadone it's very hard to say when or if you may feel like yourself again. There is actually an increasing reluctance to use it now, because it tends to create cravings and withdrawal symptoms that never go away for some people. That's why most addicts that are treated with it end up on a lifetime maintenance dose. Have you considered seein...
