He then did a dip strip that is supposed to be 99.9% effective but it did not show up on there. Now he is sending the test out to a lab. is there any possible reason it would not show up? I suspect I have a UTI or yeast infection could that make it not show up? I am afraid they are going to kick me out of the program and need to know if there is any medical reason it would not show up. He is kind of old and sometimes confused so I do not really trust him to research possible reasons and would like to be able to show him something about why this might happen. ## I just had the same situation. My dr told me my urine did not show sub when I take mine daily without fail. He was yell...
If you are struggling with getting off Suboxone successfully, you may want to take the time to read this. I have read a ton of hype about Suboxone being impossible to get off. How the withdrawal symptoms carry on for days, even months. Below, I would like to encourage you and let you know that it can be done. I AM LIVING PROOF YOU CAN ACCOMPLISH THIS FEAT!!! I have been free of Suboxone and all other drugs and alcohol for 3 months and I have never felt better in my life!!! THE WAY THAT SUCCESS HAPPENED FOR ME AND CAN HAPPEN FOR YOU: For months I read Suboxone blog sites in the effort to gather some element of hope that would encourage me to make the “jump” to get off my final 1/8 tab (1mg) of Suboxone. At the point I started reading these blog sites, I had come down from 2.5...
For those of you who have been seeking a Suboxone program in Southwest Louisiana, I have some good news to share for the ones who aren't aware of the expansion approved by our state. There are now more options & many more physicians & also Nurse Practioners who are licensed to prescribe Suboxone and they also accept Louisiana Medicaid. Many of them are also accepting new patients in the Alexandria/Pineville area, also the Lake Charles area which is in Calcasieu Parish and in the Lafayette, La area, as well. ## Ho can I find these Doctors ? I live close to BR and I have been driving to Jefferson Parish. I am disabled and between the gas and visit I end up paying almost 200.00 plus each month. I am sure that it will be cheaper being on SSI & SSI. I have never used any ille...
Hey, I am looking for a doctor that will prescribe me subutex in Tennessee - johnson city or kingsport. I was going out of town to even have my doctor and they have me prescribed to 32 mg a day. Well they would not let me reschedule my appointment and now told me I need a new doctor. This is devastating to me because I have been doing so good. If anyone can help me please let me know. ## Where were you going to? I might know a doctor in johnson city that prescribes subutex. ## I need a doctor to prescribe subutex because of the reactions I have from Naloxone. Do you know any doctors in the Tri cities area that prescribe it and if so do you have a phone number ## Where is that dr? ## Wow he prolly lost his job, not being mean but they have limited the drs down to 2 to 2&1/2 is the mo...
I have been on methadone for about 6 years and had to start going to a maintenance clinic a few yrs ago after my pain dr lost his license here in Phoenix, Arizona. I tried going to another pain clinic after mine closed but they wanted me off the methadone and forced me to taper off of it in one week and demanded I took gabapentin which DOES NOT work and they didn't care. Anyways, I went to mmt clinic and have been there since but there are so many things wrong with it, I'd end up writing a book. Does anyone know of a pain Mgmt doc who writes methadone scripts in Metro Phoenix area? ## Unfortunately, since you've been going to the clinic, it isn't likely that you'll find a doctor that will take you on. For addiction/maintenance, the current laws will only allow it to ...
i was given a sealed little bottle of pink liquid meth and it said it was 100mgs. My question is, Can that little bit of fluid actually be 100 mgs? Its so little fluid that im worried its not all there. the top was sealed and it was the bottle from his clinic, i had to empty it in a bottle of mine because he said he had to bring the empty back. can this really be 100mgs. It just seems that there would be more fluid in it. i dont know, im gonna take 50 today and 50 tomorrow. I'm just hoping this is really 100 mgs. please help me if u know about this stuff, thanks ## Ya your good. I have a bottle of 186 mg. Pink methadone. It does not look like its all there but I've measured it ## My 100mgs is like one fluid oz. There isn't much liquid there at all. I thought it would be like...
I'm interested in finding a private doctor's office (not a clinic) that will prescribe methadone. I can't afford these clinics! Does anyone know of a doctor??? ## I am a full time student and a single mother, I need assistance in finding a doctor who prescribes methadone because with my schedule and transportation I cannot go to the Methadone Clinic anymore. ## Katy did What do you take methadone for? If you take it for opiate addiction, you won';t be able to find a doctor to prescribe it for you because a doctor can only write it for chronic pain. As for money, by the time you pay to see a doctor (Pain managment is a specialty) it will cost you more than going to the clinic. Most pain managment doctors charge $100.00+ each month plus the medication, and another problem ...
Please provide any reputable pain doctors who will provide pain medication for chronic pain patient of 20 years in Fort Lauderdale or Miami area. ## I've been going to a methadone maintenance clinic for 14 years and I would like to go to a private doctor because I just got approved for Medicaid. Do you know if there is a doctor I can see in the Kissimmee or Orlando area of Florida? ## Hi everyone, my name is Corey and I live in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. I have been trying to find a pain management doctor in this area. I had an appointment with one in Miami and the day of my appointment he calls and tells me he won't treat me as a patient. Then I got in a panic and that day I called all over Fort Lauderdale and either nobody is accepting my insurance or they wanted 400 bucks for ...
Anyone heard of methadone clinics "watering down" the methadose? There have been people at my clinic complaining of getting sick in the evening all of a sudden. ## It is more likely that they've gotten tolerant to whatever dose they are currently taking. That can happen with any medication, when you are taking it for awhile at the same dosage. There is no precise time frame, it can take years for some people and just a few months for others, it depends on their bodies. Learn more Methadone details here. Has anyone discussed it with those in charge? ## You said people complaining all of a sudden. I would have to ask approximately how many, how long have they been on their dose, and what if any other issues they might have in common. Such as alcohol, benzos, and any illicit dr...
I need some advice. I started taking Suboxone films last November. I am on 20 mg. a day. Ever since I started these films I noticed that underneath my tongue became sore, like it swelled up and had little bumps underneath. Per my pharmacist, I tried putting it in between my cheek and gum on the bottom, but the same thing happened. It's getting to the point that if I eat anything hot or spicy, it stings like crazy. Even the suboxone stings a little. I don't want to get my whole mouth sore, so I am keeping it underneath the tongue. In the morning my tongue is swelled and it's difficult to talk right, especially saying "s". I told my doctor when it first started happening, but he didn't think much of it. Anyone else have this problem? What should I do? ## It is diff...
who has been suboxone CVS or walgreens.I know thwy are generic but which is better of the two ## You're really asking a subjective question, because a generic that works well for one person may not work that well for you and vice-versa. What you really need to discover is which one works best for you. Learn more Suboxone details here. Have you had problems with any that you've tried? ## Walgreens or CVS has the exact same thing when it comes to suboxen, not sure what dose you are on but an 8mg suboxen strip will have 6mg of buprenorphine and 2mg of naloxone. ## The difference between the two.... Walgreens has the orange generics and cvs has the white generics. I had both and imo, they're exactly the same. But if I had to choose, I would go with walgreens only bc in my head I...
Greetings. I am a 67 year old woman destroyed by auto immune disorders that required prednisone that destroyed me further. I had 8 surgeries in 1.5 years which left me very handicapped and I have RA and osteoporosis. Constant pain and limited abilities. Worst of all is pain in my hands, limiting the crafts that would keep me happy. Constant intense pain which I have been on Tramadol for. Now a pain management center has started me on Butrans 5. And I am afraid. Because of my auto immune conditions there’s not a side effect my body doesn’t love to grasp. I never read the inserts that come with a med, because I don’t want to know. Talk me up or down please. I need to live free of this pain. I can’t bear it another day. I had my hips, knees and one shoulder replaced...
I've been on 195 for 6 years now. They just brought back annual EKG and peak and through for those over 150. My QTC is 453 which is borderline I know. Curious if anyone has been taken down in their Methadone dose due to an EKG and what their QTC score was? ## Whether or not Methadone actually puts someone at risk due to prolonging the QT interval is under debate, due to differing study results. You can learn more here. What have your prescribers advised you to do? The FDA warns that Methadone carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
I've been abusing vicodin and percocet for over 7 years. I'm fed up with it all, but terrified BEYOND TERRIFIED of telling my doctor about it, for fear of losing my kids. I turned to a friend who takes Suboxone and she is helping me enormously......I'm on day 4 of only 4 mg per day. Anyone know if I go through the "proper channels" if I will lose my kids over this? I'd much rather be doing it under a doctor's care, but my friend helping me was pretty blunt and said that she had to LIE about the amount she was taking in order to get help in the first place. I've tried cold turkey many times and got scared to death when it lasted for more than a week...normally withdrawals were only lasting me a few days. I'm in over my head, and trying everything in my...
Hi, I been on suboxone for 3 years and I'm on 3 strips a day, my insurance Aetna better health the worst company out there would pay 6 months at a time then my Dr would have to send them papers and this time they don't want to cover it, all they tell me on the phone is Aetnas pharmacy said it's not needed, and the Dr might not be sending the paper work they need, my appointment is Monday and I have not been able to get a hold of my Dr. My appointment cost 110 and I was just seeing does anyone know how much the generic brand is, even if I have to try to go down to 2 a day, or is there another option. I'm out of work due to illness and I don't know how I'm going to be able to get it but any information would be so helpful even if I have to buy a little at a time, t...
Why do you think docs prescribe Suboxone or Methadone for opiate withdrawal, make patients stay on it until they are completely addicted to it for years, then have to treat them to come off it? Why don't they treat a 5 day opiate withdrawal with a benzo to sleep, clonidine, gabapentin, trazodone for a week or two instead. It would sure help society not be addicted to Suboxone. Worst drug ever. ## Most people, even if they are addicted, can't just take a ton of medications to try and sleep through their withdrawals and be out of work for that length of time. Treatment with Suboxone or Methadone enables them to still work and be productive, while undergoing addiction treatment and, unlike Methadone, Suboxone usually enables most people to eventually become completely drug free, al...
Do they still make and/or use this antagonist? I hear a lot of people talk about Naloxone. I thought Naloxone was for overdose and Naltrexone was a stronger antagonist or what they say is a "blocker". ## I take low-dose naltrexone for MECFS, so my dose is 0.5 mg not the 50 mg of the usual tablet. I get it from a compounding pharmacy and they make it with pure Naltrexone powder they get from China or India or something. People must be taking the 50 mg tablets though because I know the pharmacies carry those still, some compounding pharmacies will be able to get your LDN covered by insurance by getting a 50 mg tablet for making it your correct dose, so I know it’s still exists. I just don’t know anybody who takes it.
Can zopiclone and suboxone be taken together. I have been on zopiclone for years and just about to start suboxone for ptsd and chronic pain ## Hello, Julie! How are you? While they can be taken together, in theory, and should only cause more dizziness, drowsiness, and nausea, than taking them alone, according to the NIH, Suboxone can be very tricky, so it would be best to double check with your doctor to be sure. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have been on zoplicone for 7 years and started Suboxone 20 days ago. I noticed I only have to take half the dose I use to and it works just as good if not better for helping me sleep as the full dose did. ## The white oblong 10mg and 20mg tablets are generally counterfeit. Nothing in them.
I go to the clinic and get methadone but missed a day, so i took a half a subutex. Within 15 min it sent me into immediate withdrawal. How long should i wait to take my methadone again? Is it going to send me into worse withdrawal? ## If you took Subutex, then it did not send you into withdrawals, you are most likely experiencing withdrawal from missing your Methadone, you probably didn't take an equivalent dose of the Subutex. Subutex only contains the opiate Buprenorphine, it doesn't contain the Naloxone like Suboxone does, which is what could cause someone to go into precipitated withdrawals. These medications are listed by the FDA as carrying the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. You shoul...
Please help me I've been on this medicine since I was a child I am now 40 years old I need to find a doctor in Charleston South Carolina that will prescribe me Subutex for pain not for addiction. I've lost my job my quality of life is non existent. Doctors will write me a script for oxycottin, opiates before they'll treat my pain with subutex. Please if anyone reads this & can tell me where im forever in your debt. Opiates; I won't do that I refuse to do that please help me!!!! ## Subutex is an opiate, just like the others, it contains the active ingredient Buprenorphine. Ref: Subutex Information The FDA warns that it also carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. It tends to...
