Was taking 6-8 Lortab's a day with Fetanyl patch every 72 hours. Doctors need to know if my spine pain is still present or if meds were just masking. So he put me on Suboxone. I take a half at a time. Three suboxones and I still have spine pain. What does this mean? ## Suboxone doesn't tend to alleviate pain as much as most other narcotics, so after taking it for awhile, you should be able to let them know if you still have the pain and how bad it is, but it will prevent you from going into withdrawals from stopping the other medications. At this point, after being on it for such a short time, you may be having rebound pain from stopping the other medications, so you'll likely need to give it a little more time, before you know for sure. A little more than a year ago I had to change Suboxone doctors. Up to that time, the only problem I ever had was simply being able to pee in that cup. However, the drug screen from my first new patient appointment popped positive for Methadone. Yes, I am an opioid addict. Yes, I was (and still am) a Suboxone patient. No, I have never in my life taken even a dose of methadone. Not illegally or legally. I am very detail oriented with meds. I can tell you the imprints and/or design on any med I take. I can't even tell you for sure what form Methadone is (I've heard both liquid and pill but not sure). I AM VERY ALLERGIC TO SULPHUR AND RECENTLY STARTED TAKING SUBOXONE AND STARTED HAVING SOME OF THE SAME SIDE EFFECTS!SO I WAS JUST WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY SULPHUR IN THE PILL SUBOXONE. ## The active ingredients in the name brand Suboxone are Buprenorphine and Naloxone. The inactive ingredients are lactose, mannitol, cornstarch, povidone k30, citric acid, sodium citrate, FD&C yellow no. 6, magnesium stearate, Acesulfame K sweetener and lemon lime flavoring. Based on that, not there doesn't appear to be any sulphur in it. I am new to taking.suboxone . I have 8mg strip, I'm not wanting to take the whole thing without knowing how it affects me and was wondering if it still works the same if I cut it in half. I also am bad about the taste of meds if I was to take a drink and ball the strip up and drop it in the pop in my mouth and swallow it if it will work the same also ? ## Yes, you can cut them, they aren't time released. Just recently got medicaid in nj and have been on methadone maintainence for 10 years . All of the clinics have waiting lists that are over 6th long for new medicaid patients. Was wondering if anyone knows of a Dr that would prescribe methadone and if medicaid would pay for it. Just lost my job a couple months ago and I can't afford to keep paying cash. I have taken IV heroin multiple times and ended up with very bad experiences. I am currently in trouble with my state license in the healthcare field. I am afraid I will not be able to get off of it for any length of time without suboxone.I want to know if suboxone can be detected in my urine drug tests if I am not currently being tested for it. If I am positive I will never be able to work in my profession again. Hi I was wondering, what at do you guys think about putting the suboxone in about a tablespoon of water and let it dissolve over night and then put it under your tongue from the spoon? I just cannot stand the taste and I am trying to speed up the absorption process... Tell me what you guys think. ## If you can tolerate having a mouthful of liquid instead of just your saliva, and you keep it there long enough, it should work, not as well as when dissolved only in saliva mind you, as water is going to take with it big part. I think i have a drug test coming up at the clinic and i have methadone pills instead of the liquid that i usually take. Will taking the pill form give me a dirty urine at the clinic? ## Hi Heather, From what I was able to gather, the active ingredient is still the same in the pill vs liquid form. The main difference being that the different binders in the pill will make it work through your system slower than the liquid form. It also shouldn't show up as anything different in a urinary analysis, being that it is still methadone. If you were prescribed methadone, then you shouldn't have anything to worry about. Clinical trials were looking at the use of opiod agonists as off label anti-depressants. Since they block the release of glutimate without the more addictive opiate side effects. Also, releases more dopamine? Ketamine also being studied as well as anti-inflammatory drugs in combination with opioid agonists? I am probably mistating the complex bio-chemistry involved, but bottom line it seems like anti-depressant meds are all moving toward reducing inflammation by reducing glutamate release, (or is it the other way around) from the spinal column by binding opioid agonists to the pain receptors. i get my script on the 10th, i am going out of state for vacation, and they are 2 days early,due on the 12th. ## The best thing to do would be to consult your prescribing doctor to see if they will authorize an early refill. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Did they allow you to get it early?

I was previously on suboxone for three years and relapsed on morphine for about three days now and want to start my suboxone back up, but I'm not sure when to take it. I think I will try 1mg of Subs and see what happens in a few hours and if I'm sick I'll just take another morphine........crazy I thought I was good til they were in my hands again. Hello, I am here for my boyfriend, he takes methadone, (I think about 130 mg daily) for both addiction and pain management. Currently he goes to a clinic once every 2 weeks. He recently obtained health insurance, and is looking for a doctor that is willing to prescribe a months supply at a time, that takes his insurance. Hello I have been on Suboxone going on 2yrs now. I am currently in the Columbus Ohio area. However I am moving to another state in 3weeks and I need a suboxone dr tht will give more than weeks meds at a time. I am needing monthly so that I have time to get everything transfered once i am there. I do have CareSource but at this point if i can go monthly I would pay cash. In 2006 i broke my neck and was paralized from the neck down, 10 days later had spinal surgery and luckily my paralisis was able to be reversed.i was prescribed methadone FOR PAIN RELIEF. When my script ran out i went to my doctor only to find out he dosn`t deal with methadone prescriptions,was told to go back to surgeon who initially prescribed it and was told he couldnt help me because he was only my surgeon not my primary. I need a doctor in Oklahoma to prescribe me methadone for chronic pain! I have 4 discs blown n my back and both types diabetes causing severe diabetic neuropathy. Im Going under anesthesia for Eye Surgery On Thursday And by that time i would have 62 hours clean off of 10mg of methadone and Wanted To Know What would happen if I didn't inform my doctor? ## Trust me, tell your doctor. Regardless of the time clean, which will still be very short by the way, there could be some possible issues with certain anesthetics or other medications used before, during and after the surgery. What are the side effects of suboxin when you are taking it. I would like to know if I can take Suboxone for 3 or 4 days to wean off my heroin addiction? I don't want to replace one habit for another. Will I be alright? ## No that will not work. Suboxone is not just a easy way out, you can't just take 3 or 4 pills and than be clean.
