I've had chronic pain due to autoimmune diseases for several yrs. I have been seeing a PM doctor in another state but now am in Louisville, Ky staying with a family member who has cancer. I will be here indefinitely and am running into dead ends finding a doctor who is willing to see me and write my Methadone 10 mg that I take 4 x a day. Any suggestions? It is costing me $400 a month to fly round trip each month. ## What you really need to do is make an appointment with someone as a new patient, but without asking them ahead of time if they'll prescribe any certain medication. You can tell them what your health issues are, but if you ask for a particular medication, especially one like this that is a controlled substance, most doctors and their staff are taught to view that as d...

I'm percribed to bupronorphrin but ran out so I took 20ml of method ones one time last night how long do I have to wait to take a strip ## Take it the next morning but b careful methadone has a two week shelf life and it wont be completely out of your body for at least two weeks. ## You will be okay to take it within 6 to 8 hours if you only took it once ## I'm taking methadone for the first time it's a hundred milligram how long do I have to wait so I can take a Suboxone ## I run out of subs on the reg and take Methadone because it’s easy to get. Smart? Nope! But I hate being sick and can’t afford to lay in bed all day. I don’t recommend anyone do what I do switching between the two. It can suck! I’m a freak of nature apparently and I don’t hav...

I want to be back on methadone and am on suboxone - should I wait or take it while on suboxone? ## I want to know when can I feel the methadone after taking suboxone for two years ## Only your doctor will really be able to answer this, because it can vary from person to person and, of course, will also depend on your Suboxone dosage as to how much of the Naloxone that you've been taking. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. You will need to wait awhile, but precisely how long can vary. What dosage have you been taking and for how long? ## Randy, do not understand why you want to go back on methadone. I was on it for 20 years and just this year was slid ...

Have been seeing the same pain management Doctor for the last 20 years, but I am now moving to Pennsylvania. I have been spending time between the move trying to find a Doctor in Pennsylvania that will keep me on the same regimen I have been on for this long. It is futile! Does anyone have any idea if there is a doctor near Hazleton, Wilkes Barre, Scranton...that isn't absolutely afraid to treat a pain patient with methadone or other opiods? ## About 2 years ago I had a back fusion done with two boats in it and in about a month ago I got in a wreck. Someone had the red light and turned. Now one of the screws is fractured and I need my medication ASAP. I was taking roxy 30s and Xanax. I cannot find a pain clinic anywhere.

Has he looked into going to a methadone clinic? I am a patient of a methadone clinic and it has changed my life drastically for the better. I would definitely recommend it to anyone whom is suffering through opiate addiction. I know how your son feels and I sympathize with him and you because the family goes through just as much pain and suffering as the addict does. ## yes he has but there is no methadone cl...

I took about 150 mg of methodone, I need to know how long it will show in your urine. I took a drug test after 18 days and am waiting the results. Also it was liquid methodone. does this make a difference on how fast it will metabolize out of your urine? ## Methadone would go out of the system in less than 5 days so I imagine after 18 days you should have no problem show a negative result and I don't think it matters in what form you take it. ## No, I've been taking methadone since 99, and it's all good you're clean. 3 days on a sensitive lab test I take. ## how long does clonazepam stay in your system after you stop taking it ## If you're talking a few mgs a day for over a year, for me it took 13 days.

how long does methadone stay in your system? I gotta take a drug test in 10 days ## Hi Dannie, From what I could gather, Methadone can be detected in your urine for as long as 6-12 days after your last dose. Depending on the type of drug test you'll be taking: -It can be detected in your blood for up to 24 hours -It can be detected in your saliva for up to 1-10 days -It can be detected in your hair for up to 90 days How many days leeway do you have in-between your last dose and your upcoming drug test? ## In march i had gotten sighned up for the methadone program and got up to 95mlg.daily,then went from that to 54mlg.then to 32mlg.and then 30mlg then 35.the last time i had dosed was last thursday when will it be out of my urine?will there still be traces? ## so i did some meth on su...

I just took two ten mg methadone pills. Will they be out by Thursday? I drink a lot of water. Please let me know soon as possible. ## Depends on how long u took it. It has been in my system now for over 45 days. Can't wait till its gone either. ## Take good advice-avoid opiates altogether. They can kill you. Young people are dying and becoming vegatables because of this crap. ## If you haven't been taking it everyday, for a long period of time it should be gone in a few days. Find a test at the drug store before having some1 else test you. ## I don't know where these people get their information. I could go into this long explanation of the half life of a pill times 5, but I don't want to confuse anyone. Just remember this, the basic rule of thumb is 60 to 72 hours on ev...

33 year old female with first 4 pregnancys healthy babies..then put on suboxone and have had 5 miscarriages...doctor is not very educated and would not put me on subutex...anybody else heard of naloxone causing multiple miscarriage? ## Hello, Roxanne! Sorry about the miscarriages, that's so sad. Neither the Buprenorphine or the Naloxone in Suboxone have been shown to cause harm to the fetus, but they haven't been shown to be safe, either. Learn more Suboxone details here. From what I'm reading the only reason a pregnant women is usually switch to Subutex is to just lessen the possible risks, if any, by only exposing the baby to one medication, rather than 2. Have you considered seeing a different doctor? If this one isn't helping and you've had 5 miscarriages while t...

if i've been taking 50 mg methadone qd for 3 yrs and wonder how many days will it take to have a clean ua? what about occasional use of xanax klonopin ativan or valium? i read on this site that it only takes 2-4 days to be clean for ativan and klonopin??? ## Actually, that number, 3 to 4 days, would be more accurate for the Methadone, narcotics usually clear your system pretty fast. However, the Benzodiazepines can take anywhere from 4 to 6 days, give or take, depending on the doses you were taking and how often. If you have a prescription, however, there is no need to worry, just inform them of that, when you go in for the test. I have been on suboxone for the past couple months and it's is working out great. I have not touched opiates since. The doctor also prescribed me 10 klonopin last month because I'm having a lot of panic attacks and anxiety. I took a couple Xanax a week before I went in for my monthly visit because 10 klonopin just wasnt enough for my anxiety a month. I did save 2 klonopin for the last week prior to my visit. I took a urine drug screen. My question is, will my suboxone doctor be able to tell that I took Xanax a week prior. I went to the lab in the office right next to his office to take the urine screen. He prescribed me 10 again but said I can call in 10 days and get more if needed which is great cause now I will have just what i am prescribed in my system from now on. Will he k...

I am in need of some answers. Any legal help from someone experienced in 'law' would be lovely here. My Fiancee and I have wanted to distribute harm reduction kits to opiate users for a long time. By harm reduction kits, I mean clean needles for injection, cotton filters, clean tins/cookers to mix their opiate in, gloves, band-aids, bandages, tape and anything a drug user may need to stay safe and stay free of disease, minus the drug they are using. Now, we would be asking for absolutely no assistance for this from the country, state, county or city whatsoever, it would be funded out of our own pockets and by donations from the general public and from sales from my arts and crafts I make. So that's not something we need to worry about. So far, we have the funding to put toge...

My doc is in Tennessee and my insurance doesn't cover it because I am in Kentucky. ## Zero, you have to move. You live in a state that doesn't care about quality of life. Blame all these kids now abusing Suboxone. It's a very sad world we live in. ## Can you pay out of pocket? Suboxone is a lifesaver for me and my husband, and if you can find a way to pay maybe in installments, I suggest trying the generic! ## I have heard that they will fill these at Bedingfield pharmacy in Pembroke pharmacist name in Nelson Family owned and these girls have said if they go in close to closing he gives them a much more personel customer assistance these are written by Dr Bynes although it seems if all that is needed hospice should be at your side in the soon to be last mininutes.

I went to my doc in hopes of getting the new 8/2 mg or 12/3 mg because I'm on the 5.7/1.4 mg dose and have been taking more than prescribed and got shut down. She told me that because they were so strong the only way to get them was in a controlled environment, I'm guessing rehab. I honestly believe that they just haven't taken the new certification test to prescribe these stronger pills though. Advice for anyone that plans to ask for these higher doses, I've read that they won't switch you if you are on more than two 5.7/1.4 mg pills a day. Seems a little backwards but that's all the info I've gotten so far. If my docs decide to get certified to prescribe these higher dosages I'll let you know. If anyone has any more info please post. Have a great day. #...

Hi can you give any suggestions. I take this pill for pain. I've tried taken the correct way under the tongue. I can't stand the taste it's do bitter. I just end up getting sick to my stomach I even brake into a sweat and end up pucking up. ## Hi, Subs are very strong. They might be too strong for you and making you sick. A little tiny bit will sometimes do the trick. If your not being prescribed subs you need to be very careful mixing anything with them. ## Hello, Meme! How are you? The best suggestion I have is that you ask about just swallowing them, they will still work that way, it will just take about 15 to 20 minutes, rather than instantly. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, ...

Some experts told me that it's a sort of spinal cord disorder. Pain begins from my back then my shoulders. I'm hardly walking. I injured my back in 2003 and then bad car wreck in 2005 was on pain pills but seen to abuse then after 3yrs. Got on suboxon it works great but my doctor that work it for pain management retired so 7 had to go to a suboxone clinic and they want to keep taking me down in my dose when i am maintaining just fine with pain. ## Hello, Julie! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problems that you're having. Yes, it is normal for the Suboxone doctor to want to taper you down, after a period of time, because that is what they are supposed to do, since they treat addiction, not pain. It is in the FDA guidelines for such treatment. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and con...

does dr. Harrison write methadone still for sure cause I can't afford to go & him not write it!!! ## did you ever find out about this doc writing methadone? ## I don't know how many Dr. Harrison's there are in the state of Alabama, but you might need to get a little more specific with the location/city if you're referring to a certain type of physician. I had found about four different Dr. Harrison's there on google just now. In many cases, I also think it would be important to let your medical records speak for themselves when it comes to finding someone who is willing to give you what you truly need. It's a tough game to play, since a lot of doctors tend to see it as drug seeking behavior when you openly ask them for a specific medication right off the bat....

Was taking 6-8 Lortab's a day with Fetanyl patch every 72 hours. Doctors need to know if my spine pain is still present or if meds were just masking. So he put me on Suboxone. I take a half at a time. Three suboxones and I still have spine pain. What does this mean? ## Suboxone doesn't tend to alleviate pain as much as most other narcotics, so after taking it for awhile, you should be able to let them know if you still have the pain and how bad it is, but it will prevent you from going into withdrawals from stopping the other medications. At this point, after being on it for such a short time, you may be having rebound pain from stopping the other medications, so you'll likely need to give it a little more time, before you know for sure. The FDA classifies this medication as...
