My husband was prescribed Methadone for chronic pain associated with an amputation of his leg. We have since moved, and the new doctor doesn't want to prescribe Methadone and prescribed him oxycontin and oxycodone instead. He has not been asked to give a urine sample yet for the new doctor. How long will he test positive for the Methadone? He was on it for years and we have been told that it stays in the system longer than other medications. I was also asking because he is searching for a job, and I wouldn't want him to test positive for something that he is no longer taking. He was on 60mg's/day before the new doctor changed his medication. I wanted to know if it took days, or weeks or longer to get out of his system. Any information would be appreciated!

Hello, Me and my husband have using Buprenorphine more than one year, before we were on Methadone. Does Buprenorphine have the same ingredients and effects as Suboxone have? I have been taking two to three 8mg Dilaudid ,iv, for the past 3 years. I am desperately wanting to take suboxone and get off the D. I had done a quarter of a D right before bed then 6 hours later I did a half of a sub strip. I was able to go to work and I was fine. I am wanting to do the same thing now and get off of this junk but after I see people that wait I see people that waited 16 hours to take a sub and I still went in to precipitated withdrawals. Do the new suboxon 8mg have a blocker in it? ## Suboxone always contains the Naloxone with the Buprenorphine, it's only Subutex that doesn't. There are so many different answers/opinions on this topic. So i was hoping to get a simple yes or no answer. I am prescribed liquid methadone from a treatment center. I recently got a new job and im about to get hired in, but before that happens I have to go to the hospital for an initial drug test. I went on suboxone last Demember, almost exactly a year ago today, and I've been off since late October. My doctor started me on 3 8mg tabs daily which I took every day for about 8 months. I told him 7 months into it I was ready to ween off which i did so in 4 mg increments. i tapered down for about 4 months going down 4mg sometimes in 2 weeks and sometimes in 2 months depending on how I was feeling. The withdrawal during this time was noticable but bearable and made me dread what coming off completely was going to be like. Once I got down to 1mg daily I told my doctor that was it and stopped going. The physical withdrawals I felt were like nothing I've ever been through before. Hi it would be of great help to me if any suboxone users could help me out by answering my question. Would 2mg of suboxone restrict your pupils. My partner has been using 2mg of suboxone for some time now and his pupils are always very restricted which puzzles the life out of me and in turn causing massive problems in our relationship. It's October 10th 2013 and I get prescribed 10 mg methadone 3 times daily for chronic pain related to 2 herniated disks I've had for 13 years with nerve compression to the point of my right leg being either numb or on fire , and I can't seem to find these anywhere .
