Drug Test For Work

There are so many different answers/opinions on this topic. So i was hoping to get a simple yes or no answer. I am prescribed liquid methadone from a treatment center. I recently got a new job and im about to get hired in, but before that happens I have to go to the hospital for an initial drug test. I know it helps that I do have a prescription for the medicine I take and im not just taking drugs off the street, but with all that said, does it actually show up on a test? Should I be prepared and just get a slip from the doctor before going to take the drug test at the hospital?

It might show up if the company/hospital requesting the test gets a detailed panel of drugs tested for. Some home urine drug test will also have it on a multi-panel configuration such as a 12 panel urine dip test which are common. Most hair drug test will not test for methadone because there isn't much call for it since it is a "therapy" drug. So there is no yes or no answer.
