I have been on methadone and oxycodone four years but my previous doctor got in trouble and I could not find no were to get my prescriptions filled, I need a new doctor that I can go to cvs. wallgreens. winn Dixie and get my prescriptions filled ## Hello, Jack! How are you? If you require such a medication on a long-term, ongoing basis, you'll need to see a pain management specialist, due to the new regulations that were put in place last year. Can anyone suggest a good doctor in that area? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Hi guys. I have been on subutex for almost 3 months now. I've got myself down to 4-8 mgs a day. Most days 4. I have a neck injury and need proper pain meds. How long do the withdrawals last? I've got a few lortab 10's to help. No energy at all.think its all in my head.any advise. ## Hi Number 3! No, it's not in your head. That's one of the side effects of being off suboxone. It can last awhile, every one is different. How long were you on the suboxone for? Other than lack of energy, how are you feeling? ## New here. I have been on Subutex for 7 years. I am trying to get off. I am in transition from methadone to suboxone today. I am waiting for the WD's so I can take my first suboxone strip. I want to wait as long as possible and take as little as necessary... Where can I get advice on the internet? chat rooms? I am very eager to stop all opiate related meds. If I wanted to stop very soon and quick what are my options? My parther for 4 years now engaged to be married next year. He is an ex-addict. Weaned off sub for two year before we went overseas 6 months ago, came back and he started acting very strange lying etc.... apparently the same thing happen before we met when he got back from an overseas trip he reverted back to drugs. Now he is back on the suboxone (which I am proud of him for doing cause he did it on his own accord) I did not know that he was taking drugs, he hid that pretty well although I had my suspicions. I am a chronic pain suffer. Had spinal fusion in 12/72 L4 thru S1 are or were fused solid. Old style fusion massive bone build up huge triangle just above my tail bone. As fine did great no Dr no meds no nothing until I fell on my button 2/88. All Hell has broke loose. My pain has gone crazy. Gets worse and worse and finding help is getting next to impossible. The original fusion was the results of the Vietnam war injury. I finally broke down and went to the local VA hospital. After being on methadone and Oxycodone for over 8 years the Dr there scared me to death. Tells me methadone on its own for no unknown reason can stop your heart! I have been taking 40 mg of methadone and 10 mg of vicodin for eleven years. I suffer from adhesions and have had twenty six syories. My pain doctor cut my methadone to two five mg for thirty days with twenty mg of perocet. I had one methadone left due to going out of state and had an unforseen extended stay. I took the methadone, when I was given a drug panel my pain doctor said it did come up and he reduced my meds to one 5 mg percocet. I suffer terribly now and my family also suffers. Is there no one on the side of people with real pain ? Do we have no course of action for people who truly suffer, if we band together against FDA and DEA could we be heard? Taking methadone 10 mg 2x day for 3 month & oxycodone 10 mg 3x day for 3 years. Have pancreatitis, severe spinal stenosis & spondylosis. Took 10 mg methadone & 10 mg oxycodone as prescribed. About 1 hour before surprise saliva test I repeated this for agonizing headache & neckpain. QUESTIONS; will second dose of each drug register on saliva test in one hour? Lastly, Dr. said "saliva test was to check how all my medications were working or try something else." Is this a real test (check to see how meds are working?) Is it just a cover for detecting other things? I'm only taking oxycodone & methadone!

I Started Butrans 10mg. patches & Nurotin 2 weeks ago. I was on Vicodin for years and only took it 2x's a day. Once in the am and then at bed time. I stopped taking the Vicodin cold turkey because I didn't think I would have any problems. I have been so sick with nausea, headache, dizziness,and fatigue. These are some of the side affects in both the new medicines I am taking. I took the patch off for a day and still took the nurotin and the feeling got bad again with the nurotin. But from what I've researched a 10mg tablet costs around $5-$10. City Ave. ## I myself go to an Urgent Care and know for a fact they do prescribe Methadone. My mother is prescribed 10mg of methadone with 15mg of oxycodone for chronic back pain. Hello, I have been taking Suboxone for approximately 3 weeks. I was taking opiates, legally, for four+ years but recently I had problems after surgery by increasing my dosages and eventually running out quite often which lead all my doctors to a rehab place. I went through 3 weeks of Intensive Outpatient Treatment which was complete crap but it kept me busy during the morning. I now have an Rx from my PCP who KNOWS about me being on Suboxone and said to stop the Suboxone for a couple/few days and then start the Oxy's. Here's my question: Can I fill the Rx for OxyIR when I'm going to be picking up my most recent Rx of Suboxone tomorrow? I need to find a doctor willing to prescribe Methadone. I was in a car accident in 2009. Ihave been through the ringer with different doctor's & many different meds but Methadone seemed to work the best. I have been with my present Doctor for 2 1/2 years!! and on oxy 40s and Norco 10-325 for the amount of years, they no longer have the long time affect to get me through my day.. I have 2 young children including a 9 month old. I have been on suboxone for about a year now and I'm wondering if I or my Dr is doing something wrong? I feel normal all day, but when I wake up in the morning, I feel like I got hit by a bus. I wake up and take my sub immidatly trying to advoid the pain but it normally takes me a hour-hour & a half to feel good enought to get dressed for work..etc. I don't know how to describe it other then it feels like my stomach is being twisted up. Any help or suggestions would be helpful. I only ask cause my Dr seems to blow it off and send me on my way. ## All medications only last a certain period of time, so it is normal for there to be a time period where it will wear off and you may have to wait for your next dose to kick in. i wear my patch at all times and change it every tuesday as directed, talk all my meds at directed but yet for the last 2 urine test no drugs have showed in my system my doctor know i wear them and has seen them on me and knows i take my pills as well but says we got to get this figured before ins. makes her stop giving my my scripts for this she says she will do a blood work up if this is negative but i would still like to know why it would be negative.thank you for any help you give. ## I had the exact same thing happen to me. I have been taking buprenorphine for almost a year and everything has been fine with me and my levels. The counselor does random drug tests. I have been taking 12 mg a day since may. In July, I was supposed to be able to start taking two weeks worth of medicine home (i was taking one weeks home) and the counselor noticed the percentage of my meds. Went from 75% to 16% this went on for 2 drug screens. They started having me come in to take my medicine in front of them and over a month is has went up to 56%. They think I was not taking my medication and from an outsiders point of view I can totally see that, but I have always taken it because I truly need it and do not want to relapse.
