Needing Help Asap

Took my last dose of percocet at 1130 last night. How long until I can take suboxone? I feel terrible.

Hello, Via04! How are you?

You need to be in full withdrawal, just as your doctor instructs, before you can take Suboxone. Otherwise the Naloxone in it may throw you into dangerous precipitated withdrawals.

This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Thank you! I waited 24 hours and then took 1/2 of an 8mg strip, so 4mg. I then took another 1/2 strip 12 hours later. I took 1/3 of a strip yesterday around 9 pm and haven't had any since. I am trying to get away with the smallest dose possible but trying to keep withdrawal at a minimum.
I am not particularly fond of the drowsiness that it causes. Even the 1/3 of a strip I took last night made me very sleepy, but since it was bed time I was ok and actually rested well.
The doctor actually wants me to take 1 strip a day but I don't feel comfortable with that amount seeing that 1/3 of a strip makes me feel like it does.

I don't want to be on the suboxone as long as the doctor would like me to be so I'm trying to cut my doses fairly quick.

What is your opinion?
